  1. Re: NRL Round 21 - August 1 - 4 Broncos 1-12 Broncos last three victories at Suncorp v the Raiders have all been by less than 12 points. Canberra coming off the beating they handed to the Titans at home last week, while the Broncos are coming off a tight win against the Sharks. Think the Broncos will have too much for the Raiders...home ground advantage, classier players, etc... (reasons mentioned by harke above), but don't think (hope) it won't be a blow out. Not sure about the Tigers v Bulldogs match, most factors point to a large Tigers win, but the Bulldogs are a bit of an unstable commodity to gamble on at the moment, imo. Looks like a high-scoring game, but the bookies have already covered that by posting the line at 50.5 points, too high for $1.90 imo. No bet for me. Good Luck all.

  2. Re: NRL Round 18 - July 11 - 14

I believe Storm haven't lost at campbelltown' date=' so home ground advantage here doesn't mean much. I think storm will win, but not sure about the margin... It's been a week of upsets, hopefully this isn't another[/quote'] G'day fellas, I too am jumping on the 1-12 Storm ship for tonight's game. brad, you are correct that the Storm haven't lost at Campbellton, although they have only played there twice since they entered the league, beat western suburbs in 1998 and the wests tigers in 2000, a long time ago! (both wins were by exactly 10 points) Good luck guys:hope
  3. Re: NRL Round 16 Was actually going to back the Warriors today, but no Price and Tate has thrown me off the bet. Parramatta should account for the depleted Storm side, but -20 before you find some decent odds...no thanks. Will just watch and cheer on Parra. Good Luck with your bets crouch.

  4. Re: NRL Round 16 On the way out to an exam now...had a quick look at tonight's matches. I like the Panthers, no value in h2h imo at 1.39, and I can't quite make my mind up on 1-12 or 13+, so I will have a little bit on Panthers HT by 1-8 @ 3.40. Also think the Dogs can bounce back from the humiliation by Canberra to defeat a much depleted Roosters side, without Pearce and Anasta most importantly. Bulldogs @ 1.83. good luck fellas. :hope

  5. Re: Switzerland v Portugal (Sunday)

Can anyone answer me this question' date=' is Portugal going to play all there big name players? thx[/quote'] rleague punter, I'm not certain by any means, but this is from the livescore site, and their team sheets have been pretty realiable so far... Miguel Fernando Meira Pepe Paulo Ferreira Raul Meireles Miguel Veloso Ricardo Quaresma Joao Moutinho Nani Hugo Almeida Looks as though some fringe/bench players may get a run, but they still look a fair bit better than their Swiss counterparts (i.e. Quaresma, Nani).
  6. Re: Greece v Sweden (Tuesday)

I don't really understand your logic. According to me, it's upto how the teams play on the night and how many chances > goals they create and not on the trend that goes on. Like they say, every team is different. :)
I tend to follow past records, probably a bit more than I should. History said that this was a pretty low scoring start to a competition that has had more overs than unders in recent years - 28-20 for past two competitions. (in the group stages) It wasn't a real serious bet for me, more of an interest bet. But anyhow, I came out ahead for the night, with Spain v Russia going over, and almost had Sweden v Greece as well. ;)
  7. Re: Greece v Sweden (Tuesday) Over 2.5 goals for me, simply going against the trend. 1/6 have been over so far, think that should even up sooner rather than later. In Euro '04, after the first 8 matches, 5 games had gone over, while after 8 matches in Euro '00, 4 matches had gone over. Also taking over in Spain v Russia for same reasoning. good luck all.

  8. Re: NRL Round 13

Titans over 6.5 for me. Should win by heaps though' date=' just not sure how they will go without Prince.[/quote'] I'm with you on that bet brad, the Titans missing Prince has scared me off bets I previously had in mind, i.e 20+. Good luck all.
  9. Re: NRL Round 13

Sharks +7.5 @ 1.93 and Sharks 1-12 @ 4.50 (Both lasseters) are my two main bets today (more so the +7.5). The Sharks have only lost 1 game by more than 8pts this year and they almost always keep it close' date= which makes this quite a generous line. They have a strong record in their recent games at CUA and the Sharkies satisfy my most effective criteria, so am quite happy to be on them here in this fashion. Have gone the 1-12 because the Sharks rarely win or lose by more than 13+, so it offers a bit of extra value.
I'm with you on the Sharks +7.5 crouch, have won the past 2 against penrith away, and are travelling alright at the moment. Also like Manly 1-12 @ 3.10, both teams going well at the moment, but I think the home ground advantage for Manly may be enough to get them the win. Good luck guys.
  10. Re: NRL Round 13 Hi guys, feels like a good weekend coming on... :welcome to PL Bet Ad, love your analysis... I think Prince will still take his place in the Titans line-up this weekend, apparntly he was covering for Thurston who had an injury scare, but looks like he will play in Origin 2. Article link- http://news.smh.com.au/sport/prince-called-in-to-maroons-origin-camp-20080606-2mll.html Dragons v Broncos Dragons have quite a good record v the Broncos at Lang Park, having won 4/5. The game they lost was by 2 points. Cooper and Gasnier are big losses for the Dragons, but as usual the Broncos have been hit with absences around origin time, 8 missing tonight including Hodges. I think the Dell returning to first grade football will add that extra bit of inspiration to the Dragons, who will come out victors. Hard to guage whether it will be a blowout win or not for the Dragons, but I am confident that they can win, and am therefore going to take the shorts about them. Dragons @1.33 (sportingbet) Warriors v Souths *** Early kickoff for this one - 6pm AEST*** We saw the impact Steve Price has on the Warriors last week when they defeated the Knights away from home. He is absent this week with the QLD origin team, but that really shouldn't make any difference to the result. The poor old Rabbitohs have had a terrible season to date, and while the Warriors have been extremely dodgy when playing away, they have been solid at home. The Warriors are aiming for 13 straight against the Bunnies, and I believe that they will do it easy. Warriors 13+ @ 2.10 for me. Good Luck guys...:hope

  11. Re: NRL Round 12 Also taking Melbourne 1-12 @ 3.75 tonight. The line is very high imo, but more value in this bet. Reasonably even record at Olympic Park between the two teams - 4 each. Add to that Melbourne haven't scored over 30 points in any matches at home this season, and its a value bet imo.

  12. Re: NRL Round 12 Didn't have any bets last night, but watched both games. Jeez, the Eels v Broncos game was a good one, although I don't think the Broncos entirely deserved to win, should have been a draw imo as the teams were very even...the pass to Thaiday leading up to the final Broncos try after after the buzzer was forward, but was not picked up. Nth Qld v Panthers Going to go for an upset here. Panthers haven't looked nearly as bad as I thought they would this season, with a lack of true and proven halves. The Cowboys have been a pretty big dispointment so far this season, probably down to the Murray coaching debacle. Even though that is now over, I can't take the Cowboys on their form so far this season. Panthers @ 2.55 Newcastle v Warriors Newcastle are travelling along ok, although have hit a speedhump in the past coulpe of weeks. The Warriors have been dreadful away from home this season and are still without a win. They too have lost their past two games. Newcastle 1-12 @ 3.10 Good luck all...:hope
