1. League 1 : Colchester United- Bradford City

Colchester were largely outplayed last round, but won 2-1 with the Gills missing a penalty and a whole host of late chances, defensively the U's have been underfperforming, but they certainly have goals in them , they are battling hard and must be confident after that series of results and they followed up with another three points at Swindon Town with a 2-1 win on Saturday. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, a lot went their way in that game with Town suffering a series of injuries both immediately before and early during the match .

Today they hosts Bradford City who were amongst the pre season promotion favourites, but who find themselves nearer the drop zone than playoffs , although a couple of wins will soon address that, they looked to be running into some form before they stalled with a 2-0 home defeat to a surging Peterborough United at the weekend in front of an almost 18,000 crowd ( City are a massive club at this level) and will want to immediately bounce back this evening. They will have to do so without midfielder Paul Anderson who broke his leg against Posh and again fate does seem to be smiling a little on United. However, City have played really well in their last three road starts and they, like every team who has faced United in recent weeks will get chances and probably numerous ones and I would be amazed if there were not goals in this for both teams. City are hard hit by injury and weakened on both flanks and the home side could have a lot of joy out wide and despite all their defensive failings, have scored 14 in their last six starts, two or more in each and a feature of those games has been early goals, with 14 before the half hour mark in their last seven games, two or more in six and that always helps with "overs" !

    over 2.75 goals 2.13 asian line/Sportmarket.

I am not quite sure about this one. First of all I see a sharp movement in prices they opened at almost all bookies at 1.7 for overs and 1.9 for unders, now it is reversed, you can argue the value is on over now, but still, if so much players failing on both sides it could be one of those tight games for points and tight draw 1:1 or small win 1:0 for either side. Especially when you consider both teams are mid table and in no mans land. If 1st goal not scored before 30th minute maybe even under 1,5 for me.

  2. Re: Borussia Dortmund v Juventus > Wednesday March 18th LOL, Juve are not bloody FSV Mainz or Hannover 96, although BVB is struggling against those as well. You may speak as much as you like about Dortmund "defence", but tommorow they face none else than Juve on other side, which is famous for its defence, and which is playing very good season. Besides it the game in Italy should have been won by Juve with handicaps, a lot of that being unsaid in the first game. Tommorow is only the following of what has begun in 1st leg, my money is on Juve, I am not backing BVB especially not at those odds, for me Juve to win, small bet on 0:1 Juve win and an insurance on 1:1 should BVB score first. I hope more of you who see "value" on BVB drive the odds in their favour even more during the day, so i can take even higher odds on Juve. And remember this, Italian sides when in form, are certainly the last teams on Earth you want to save your bad season on, which BVB certainly needs to do, so even more pressure on them to deliver, this game reminds me of Milan vs Bayern approximately 7-8 years ago, when Milan gave them no chance in both games, despite result not being that high. Same to go for Juve tommorow imho.

  3. Re: Group F - Argentina v Bosnia-Herzegovina > Sunday June 15th Bosnian Team isnt Honduras. You watched them against Ivorians or Mexiko? Bet you didnt. Argentina beat them 2:0 in friendly in January, when Bosnian team was totally out of form, and even then Bosnian team had many chances, they certainly are going to score here, and I wouldnt be putting any money that Argentina can win by more than 1 goal difference.

  4. Re: Chelsea v Fulham > Wednesday 28th Nov seems like rafa will force every team to boring stalemates quite often in this season. they are the only team letting me down in a nice 7 match combo, take a look:

  5. Re: UEFA Cup Winner - 2007/8

impressivegol - Villareal certainly wouldn't be a bad bet. Are they likely to make UEFA a priority? They still have a few of the players that got them inches away from a CL final 2 years ago' date=' so would seem value. However I'm not sure how wise it is to bet on anyone before we know who drops out post CL groups.[/quote'] Only thing Villareal can do is lose in final to Bayern Munich. Not worthy even comparing them to monster Bayern this season.
  6. Re: International Friendlies ( 30 May - 3 June 2007 ) I can see this either being a narrow win for Austria (they will be motivated, they are playing on home ground, and are promising a good play for the fans). I reckon that Austrians have a bad run the quality is certainly on Scottish side, but Scots arent that much stronger than Austria. Especially nicht with a weakened team. I think that Austria win today more luckily than skillfully with 1:0. Facit: Score Prediction Austria - Scotland 1:0

  7. Re: UEFA Cup quarters Thu 12/4 I see that there are a lot of Spurs fans here being dissapointed, and now I am not wondering anymore why almost every pick in this thread suggested Spurs to win. Please next time it would be more helpful for the others if you could mention that you are backing your own team. Just because of the fact, that in many cases fans see everything going around their club through the other "glasses". Anyway Spurs played very well, but it can be easily noticed that Spanish clubs have been working on defensive tactics in the last year, just look at their league, very few goals are falling in almost all matches.

  8. Re: UEFA Cup quarters Thu 12/4 As I can read in the posts many have taken Spurs victory and Az Alkmars going through this round as granted. In the 1/4 after such tight 1st leg matches to underestimate Bremen at home. Hmmmm And to overestimate Tottenham with no sufficient reasoning :spank

  9. Re: UEFA Cup quarters Thu 12/4 Selection: Werder Bremen - Az Alkmar Pick: Miroslav Klose to score @4,50 at bwin Reasoning: First of all, Klose hasnt scored a goal for ages and it is really more because of his unluckiness. I watch almost every game of Werder and he is really doing a lot up in the front, but is simply unlucky. Against Nuremberg who have the best defence in Bundesliga he also had several chances. He could have scored in the last minute was one on one with a Goalie when refferee decided to signal an end and even prolong his agony. I think, I just have this feeling that he is gonna score the decisive goal in this match. When nobody trusts him he will make it. :D Good luck Miro Klose and to all of you.

  10. Re: CL Quarters Second leg - Tue 10/4 - Wed 11/4 Pair: Bayern Munich - Ac Milan Pick: Bayern Munich to win Ac Milan this season is a kack. Milan is not even approximately the same team it was in the last few years, and they are uncapable of doing anything in Munich. They lost all their bigger matches this season and obviously are having problems with the bigger teams. Bayern plays on its own ground, and is far better motivated for the revenge.

  11. Re: International: UEFA 2008 qualifyers, 24/03 @ 1967 Yeah, I was the first one who offered info about Norway - Bosnia. If I could return 24 hours back, I would have backed Norway handicap once more. It was so unexepected, that Norway s gonna put their lowest and Bosnia their highest performance ever. Sorry mate, I am also down, I placed big money only on Norway, but it is not nice from you when you say we spoke bullshit. I spoke the facts, and it is up to you whether you accept it or not.

  12. Re: International: UEFA 2008 qualifyers, 24/03 The problem with our team (Bosnia) is that we always win (better to say surprise) in these kind of matches in the middle of the qualifications. We never have a good start and good end in the qualis. Thats the point why we have mistaken 2 times for the EC 2004 and WC 2006. When it comes to a decisive match it is a sure banker to lay us, because we can only play good when apsolutely no pressure is exerted upon us. As a true Bosnia lover I am dissapointed with this result because it is a perfect "alibi" for whole mafia and politics in our FA. I would like if Norway could have crushed us 5:0. May sound silly, but you have to understand that things in Bosnia are like that, we are the only one FA in the world, with 3 presidents from 3 nations allowed by FIFA. It is politics, Greece had also politicians messing up in the FA, and FIFA sacked them all. Only in our case, FIFA are doing nothing, and those people wont go on their own. I hope you understand all those things happening in the stadium this evening.

  13. Re: International: UEFA 2008 qualifyers, 24/03 Serbia always have problems playing away with these ex Soviet teams like Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. I have taken under 2,5 and I am still in the game. It is always better to take under with Serbs playing away, 1,70 stake. Kazakhstan surely is not worth underestimating, they already have 0:0 from Belgium, have a solid defense anyway, they surely arent that low class such as San Marino or Liechtenstein.

  14. Re: International: UEFA 2008 qualifyers, 24/03 Event: Norway – Bosnia & Herzegowina Pick: Handicap 0:1 Home Win 2,10 on bwin Reasoning: As an Bosnian , I can not help but advice you to take this pick as granted. 10 of our key players (Bajramovic from Schalke, Spahic from Lokomotiv Moscow, Papac from Rangers, Brazzo Salihamidzic from Bayern, Barbarez from Bayer 04 etc.) are protesting and will not play for the national team as long as the whole bosnian FA including chairman, vice chairman etc resign. This is because it has beign prooved that they took fees from certain players from bosnian, croatian and other low rated leagues for making them appear in national team. One example is Berberovic who made transfer from Sarajevo to bulgarian side Litex as well as many others. There are some new players in the squad who are also there (I dont doubt it) only to be sold. Only an experienced Misimovic from Bochum and Ibisevic from Aachen will be in the starting 11. The others come from serbian or croatian league and will have debut. I know that Norwegian side has been through a lot of problems lately, but I see this as a wonderfull chance for them to gain required morale against B&H side, that is quite incapable of making something special. I think the Norway will easily win by a 2 or even 3 or 4 goal margin, so 2,10 offered by many bookmakers is worth placing. I am still thinking if I would bet on 500 € or 1000 € on this pick. Could be worth taking a bank credit for this price. :ok Good luck
