  1. Re: Quick System

I'm with you on that one mate. I will always love the Toon but I get more enjoyment watching non-league these days.
Gotta agree with you chaps, as you can see from my avatar I'm a Hearts fan but it's just not the same anymore compared to even 10 years ago...never mind back in the eighties/nineties. I've started going along to watch Penicuik Juniors (the Juniors in Scotland is like non league down south...its not kids playing!!) and its like night and day to watching the SPL...social clubs that are rammed for a drink beforehand, proper banter with the players and refs and a decent atmosphere that you actually feel a part of! Bring back terracing I say :ok ps Happy New Year and all the best for 2012 to everyone...here's to a profitable years punting!
  2. Re: Germany - Bundesliga II - 16-19 December

    Sport Football (Germany)
Event Greuther Furth vs. Union Berlin
    Selection Furth -1 (Asian-handicap)
    Strength 10/10
    Date 16/12/2011
    Bookmaker/Price Bet365 @ 2.02
Reasoning Troll Furth Arena tonight hosts a very interesting game, Greuther Furth host the visit of Union Berlin. Furth ranked 3rd in the standings with 37 points accumulated in 18 matches played, have 11 wins, 4 draws and 3 defeats, goal difference 36:14. In nine matches played at home, Furth won seven games and suffered two defeats, 20:7 goal difference. With an average of more than 2 goals per match, Furth is one of the most offensive teams in the league occupying the 3rd position at this category as Dusseldorf and Eintracht. In the last stage obtained an excellent result in road of the Frankfurt 0:0, and remained in combat for the first 2 places. Union Berlin ranks 6th with 31 points on 6 distance opponent tonight, have 9 wins, 4 draws and 5 defeats in the 18 games, goal difference 30:24. In eight trips were not able to obtain only 2 wins, 3 draws and 3 defeats , 12:16 goal average. Even if they are going through a very good shape and managed to get four wins and a draw in the last 5 games played, Furth starts the first chance and I think it will score at least two goals in this match. In Berlin, Greuther Furth has established itself with the score 4:0, top scorer Occean team managed a double.
Nice one man, Furth are 5 nil up with 5mins to go :clap
  3. Re: Scotland: Premier League 5th/6th/7th November

St Johnstone vs Aberdeen When these two have met we haven't got big scoring games. In last 6 games we had 2 goals in game 2 times and under 1.5 goals 4 times. St Johnstone haven't won against Aberdeen at home in last 3 games while Aberdeen haven't won here since 2 games. Home side won just 2 times home, made 1 draw and lost 3 games. They scored 7 goals in 6 games and conceded 7. Aberdeen scored just once away and conceded 9 times. They have just 1 draw and 5 defeats. I see a game with maximum 1 goal. under 1.5 goals @ 3.25 with Stan James
Match postponed mate due to fog.
  4. Re: Quick System

so did i mate i was riding it that last furlong my dogs thought i had gone nuts :lol
haha love it mate :D fingers crossed this is the start of a wee run, I've been following your system for a couple of years now, I've been more of a lurker on the forum, top work man :ok
  5. Re: Quick System

Superb Ralphie, came 3rd, was leading with a furlong to go...so close, thought it was going to do it!!!! Got 29/1 on Betfair, nice pick mate :ok
  6. Re: Italy - Serie B - 4 October - 5 October Does anyone have any thoughts on Torino v Grosseto? Until this season I've never really followed Serie B but from what I've seen I've been quite impressed by Grosseto. They were unlucky not to win against Acoli on Saturday and are still unbeaten this season. They also managed to hold Sampdoria to a goalless draw a few rounds ago. Torino are currently trading at 1.7 on betfair and I'm thinking of laying them, does anyone have insights? Cheers all :)

  7. Re: Scotland > Weekend > SPL > 30 Sept-2 Oct

I'm a Queen's Park fan. Grew up near Hampden, and used to go to most games, but haven't been so much since I moved to Edinburgh. Hope to see you around for the next lot of SPL games - definitely need some more regular tipsters round here! :ok
Mon the Spiders eh!! Refreshing to hear a fan from Glasgow who doesn't support one of the OF :D I'll definately stick around bud, though dunno how much use my tips will be haha, every little bit of info helps though!
As opposed to the sectarian bile coming from the home end' date=' the anti-catholic/irish racism, including the booing of a minutes silence of the Pope a few years back at Hampden, [b']songs about being up to your knees in fenian blood. The last time we played there our manager, funnily an Irish Catholic was attacked as a result of the hostility in the home end. And what happened as a result, yes the away supports allocation was cut. Instead of being ashamed of their actions, Hearts fans actually had masks celebrating the scumbag. Also singing songs about child abuse when ironically they have a player who has been in the newspaper recently for doing exactly that, did Hearts sack this player immediately, no they allowed him to go on as normal until public pressure became too much and he was farmed off to Kaunas on loan.
As I've said earlier in the thread, not wanting to get into too much of a slanging match as this is a betting forum first and foremost not a fans forum, but I'd like to make a few points. One song (Hello Hello, which is hardly sung anymore, and not once on sun) contains one line that some fans sing, the majority sing Hibbe blood, not pleasant but there you go. Lennon wasn't attacked (by one lone nutter in a crowd of 17k) because he's an Irish Catholic, it's because he's a tw@t who does everything he can to wind up and antagonise everyone in Scottish football. Funnily enough, Martin O'Neil (also a Catholic from Northern Ireland) was never attacked, abused etc when visiting Tynie and was actually respected by the Hearts support. Weird huh if we're all knuckle dragging bigots?? You fail to mention at the same match when Lennon was attacked, the away fans rioting in the stand, hospitalising stewards, robbing the kiosks, fighting the police, throwing coins at ball boys resulting in a 12 year old spending a night in the infirmary, and a full 90minute repertoire of "party songs". Think that may have been more of a reason for your allocation being cut. Regarding Craig Thomson, yeah he was an idiot and deserved to be punished but sending a picture of your wanger to a 15 year old girl (Thomson was 19 at the time) is hardly comparable to the systematic abuse and rape of young boys carried out by Celtic youth team coaches (Jim Torbett) and the subsequent cover up. Bit of perspective, no? Finally, I was at the game at Hampden when the silence was booed. It was also booed the previous day at the semi between Hibs and Dun Utd by both sets of fans. There was no need for that silence, what has the pope got to do with Scottish football?? Distasteful...yes. But lets not pretend it was just Hearts fans. The immediate aftermath was also met with universal chanting in your end of "dirty orange b*s*a*ds". It's not like Celtic fans have never booed silences for the Queen mother and annually on Remembrance day, a silence to commemorate the millions who have lost theirs lives in futile wars across the globe from all races and religions. And who can forget the cringeworthy banner on show by the "Green Brigade" saying "no blood stained poppies on our shirt". Classy. Anyway, this forum aint the place for this discussion so lets just leave it there and get on with the important business of making some money!! See you all in a couple of weeks :cheers
  8. Re: Scotland > Weekend > SPL > 30 Sept-2 Oct

Sadly, all the things you mention about Celtic's fans are very true. Scottish football is in a bit of a state when you look at the behaviour of fans. And I'm not just talking about Celtic and Hearts, who although have nasty elements to their support, are not alone in that: Hibernian, Aberdeen and Rangers can be just as bad. I disagree with the notion from others that Hearts only raise their game for the Old Firm. It's not as simple as that. Paulo Sergio wants Hearts to play a brand of football that isn't compatible with a lot of the current squad, especially with his strikers. Guys like Adrian Mrowiec, Ian Black and Eggert Jonsson are not creative, slick movers of the ball, and Mehdi Taouil is far too inconsistent to be a constant source of creativity. At least yesterday, Sergio realised that he had to (a) stop Hooper playing in the hole and (b) flood the midfield and boss it, because Beram Kayal and Scott Brown were missing for Celtic. He gave up his quest for sexy football with a more industrial prototype better suited to his players and it worked a treat, as it has done in the past. He also made sure David Templeton saw a lot of the ball and that helped too. Hearts will beat most teams in this division at home. I don't think they've conceded a domestic goal at Tynecastle under Sergio (I could be wrong about that). They are very resolute in Gorgie and will bully teams, frustrate them and intimidate them. Until Sergio gets his own brand of player, they should continue to play in a more aggressive manner. It's on the road where they must improve. They haven't won under Sergio away and he needs to get a system that works away from Tynecastle. They play Dunfermline away in two weeks time and that might be the time to back them, as I reckon he's clever enough to work out the failings. All, of course, if Vladimir Romanov keeps his nose out of things ... :lol
Agree with a lot of what you say Atko, at the moment we just don't have the players to play the way PS wants us too. Vlad was probably right to punt JJ when you look at the results we've had since the start of the year but the timing was bizarre to say the least!! PS has to be allowed a couple of transfer windows to get in his own players as the squad he's inherited is pretty workmanlike at best with a lot of dead wood and journeymen. We'll definately improve if we keep Jonsson in the centre of the park (his best position) and start trying to play football in the final third instead of across our own 18 yard line. Time will tell.
This is probably the busiest SPL thread we've had all season and the last game finished 30 hours ago! Good insight on Hearts, Atko. I wasn't being entirely serious when I spoke of them conning their fans. It does just seem at times there's a much greater desire when they play the OF and Hibs than when they face up to rest. Sure, you could say that about a few SPL teams, and that can just be human nature, but it's a shame for Scottish football's sake that they - with a squad as highly paid and talented as they are in relation to most other clubs - can't find that consistency week in, week out. I hope Paulo Sergio is willing to be as flexible when it comes to taking on the "lesser lights" because, sadly, Barca-style football just doesn't cut the mustard in this country. Their trip to Dunfermline in a fortnight's time will tell us a lot.
To be honest Lennox, in my 25 years of following Hearts, we've always struggled against teams we're expected to beat, Scottish mindset maybe! I'd say now that away to Dunfermline is probably a banker on the unders, we won't score more than once! Out of interest mate, who do you support? Are you a hibbee :spank Joke man, don't want to antagonise anyone, we're all here for the same thing...pump the bookies!! Peace :cigar
  9. Re: Scotland > Weekend > SPL > 30 Sept-2 Oct

It's not like Hearts fans are perfect angels when Celtic visit either' date=' is it?[/quote'] Never said they were, but that mainly stems from 3500 punters in the away end chanting "ooh ah up the rah" and other such endearing ditties constantly for 90mins, hospitalising ball boys by chucking coins at them and a new low on sunday...booing, jeering and abusing an u12 youth team doing a lap of the pitch at half time. Not to mention gobbing on pensioners collecting for the poppy appeal, attacking stewards, robbing kiosks in the concourse, and other assorted scummy behaviour. Anyway, good result yesterday. Here's to a profitable season :ok
  10. Re: Scotland > Weekend > SPL > 30 Sept-2 Oct

Bah, suppose the run had to come to an end sometime. Well done Hearts on winning there biggest game of the season yesterday.
Unlucky mate, I had St Mirren DNB :unsure that's twice this season I've backed against ICT, the other being when they beat Killie, might stay away from the highlanders in future!! You're wrong about the JTs tho, biggest game was spurs then the derby, yesterday was just a pantomime that this fixtures become due to the incessant terrorist love in that spews forth from the roseburn everytime Celtic visit.
  11. Re: Scotland > Weekend > SPL > 30 Sept-2 Oct

Hearts 2-0 Celtic - LOSS Dundee Utd 1-3 Motherwell - WIN Not the best of weekends, especially when you chuck in Dunfermline the other night. Shame to see Hearts conning their fans again - always seems to mean so much more to them to beat the OF and Hibs than everyone else. They could be such a strong force if they could take the same attitude into every game. Good to have a wee break now with the internationals. Hats off again to Dak. Hope to see more of you in the SPL thread mate. :ok
Conning their fans by beating Celtic, come on now man!!! It was obvious the way PS sets us up these days isn't the way to go against smaller teams ala ST J who just sit in and look to play on the counter (we don't have players with enough skill to play this way) but is ideal against so called "bigger teams". Think today showed how much Lennon's out of his depth as a manager, he was given a tactical lesson by PS today, but unfortunately for yourselves, the Celtic board and fans seem oblivious to this as he's "sellick minded". You're right though, it's always a joy beating your lot at tynie :clap Hopefully we can get some more Scottish punters posting on the SPL thread. Mon the JTs :cheers
  12. Re: Germany - Bundesliga II - 30 Sep- 3 Oct

Germany Bundesliga 2 - 30.09.2011: Erzgebirge Aue - Hansa Rostock http://www.oddsportal.com/soccer/germany/2-bundesliga-2011-2012/aue-hansa-rostock-806277/#ah;2 Erzgebirge Aue (-0.25) Odds: 2.06 (Ibcbet) Stake: 5/10 Week after week, the market does completely overrate Rostock. The 0.25 line against the strong hosts Aue does actually indicate that Rostock is the better team what is of course not true. Rostock who were promoted from 3. Bundesliga are still without any victory in this season so far. And in the first weeks they at least showed reasonable displays but the recent development was bad. They were poor away to Frankfurt where they lost 4:1 and last week they are unable to beat extremely poor Karlsruhe at home. Also manager Vollmann is pretty much under pressure because he finally needs results. Injury situation is still the same. Best striker Mintal and important defender Kostal are still not ready to play. Another mentionable thing is that no guest supporters will be allowed in this derby match but I did not put this fact into my estimations. But might be interesting to know. Aue achieved a great victory away in Hamburg last Friday night when they were able to beat St Pauli 3:2. According to manager Schmitt, it was their best performance since he is manager in Aue. And I do completely agree with him. It seems that he finally found the perfect offensive lineup. He tried a lot - sometimes Könnecke, Schlitte on the wing or Kern - but everything was not succesful. Now he uses Kocer and Kempe on the wings which means a massive improvement of the technical ability. Kempe and Kocer are both good football players who are both in good form and Aue need such players to create goal chances at home against a deep defending team. Also the defence made a better impression with Lachheb returning who is a reasonable replacement for Paulus who is likely to still miss out this game with an ankle injury. Motivation for Aue is brilliant, after the great night from Hamburg, they ultimately want to achieve their first home victory since July. Actually they are really very strong hosts and they are a team with very big home advantage. Aue can't lose this match, so the draw will definitely be the worst case. Last week they achieved the big victory which was so important for their self confidence. Now they will be fully motivated to beat the poor guests from Rostock under flood light. Can't see any reason why Rostock should achieve the first victory of the season especially tonight against Aue and draw is really the worst case here.
Hey Benny, I appreciate you clearly take time on your write ups and research them, but what's the point when you always post right on kick off?? Doesn't really help anyone out on the forum, looks more like a betting blog for yourself. All the best anyway big chap, good luck with your seasons bets :ok
