Re: UEFA Cup 1st Round 1st Leg 20/09 Well, some good games in this round of UEFA cup, but generally very bad odds like always in these stages of UEFA cup. IM considering these bets: Tottenham- Anorthosis - Well I think there is not much doubt about this game. I saw tottenham this season in most of their games and they really dont play bad. Some world class strikers in Keane, Berbatov and Bent missed a lot of chances against Arsenal in their latest game. I really dont know anything about Anthorsis but let face the facts, team from cyprus just can not resist this attacking orientated tottenham, so my bet will be : Tottenham to win by 2 or more goals at 1.30 odds Bayern Munich - Belenenses - same reasoning as tottenham game, difference is only that i think that belenenses are considerably stronger team then anthorsis and are coming from good league. But all in all bayern should attack from the first minute to secure UEFA cup group stages early. So Im pretty confident Bayern will have a relatively easy job Bayern to win by 2 or more goals at 1.30 odds Sarajevo - Basel : Well I live in Sarajevo and I will try to provide some useful informations for you. Sarajevo came this far (for us,this is far) beating Marsaxloxx and Genk. Dont let results fool you becouse Sarajevo had loads of luck in their first game against genk (they won in Belgium 1:2) and their first goal came through a terrible mistake by Genks defence, second goal was pretty organized and good. In Sarajevo, we lost 0:1 to genk but could have lost by a lot more. Sarajevo lost clearly to Dinamo Kyev in 3rd round of CL qual. Now Sarajevo is doing bad in our domestic league. In first 5 games we have a 1-3-1 record wich is very bad and we could easily lose all of these games. Sarajevo just do not have creative players and will heavily rely on our wings and lone striker Admir Rascic. Stadium Kosevo (Asim Ferhatovic Hase stadium) will probably be almost full (i expect about 15- 20.000 supporters including myself). One more information, Sarajevo will field a defensive 4-5-1 formation and all long balls wil go to striker rascic who is a solid player and very strong (190cm ,85kg) but he is not european class. I wont write about Basel becouse I think you all know a lot about them. I recon 2.20 odds on Basel as pure GIFT and great value, but as I am Sarajevo fan for all my life i will take: Sarajevo -Basel x2 with odds about 1.30 just to be sure, but believe me Basel is too strong for us and 2.20 odds for away win is just astronomic high !

I hope wi will win tonight:) but I am really afraid of AZ alkmaar away goals , they are very dangerous, but anyway should be a successful treble , waiting games tonight !!!Exactly same as me. :hope I will be doing the exactly same treble. -

Re: UEFA Cup matches 8/3 Well, best bet for me is Sevilla-Shakhtar, home win with some 9/10 stakes because Im pretty sure that sevilla will be far to strong for shakhtar team. Reasoning: well shakhtar went past nancy in last round but to be honest Sevilla is much better than nancy (can you see nancy beating Barcelona???of course not) and sevilla should do everything to go to cold Ukraine with some positive result, probbably 1:0 or 2:0 as I think they will not conceede and shakhtar will try to defend from first to last minute. Considering Sevillas strenghts and Shakhtars lack of match fitness and more importante Shakhtar huge missings (primary Marica) this shoul be a fine home win:hope:hope

Re: CL matches - return leg - 6-7/3 Well I was stunned with lyon defeat last night, and today will look to refund my bank anyway I can:tongue2 My bets will be: Man.Utd to WIN , with stakes 9/10, reasoning is following: I think lille will be very low on morale and also I think they already gave up and do not expect anything tonight on old trafford. yes, we could say that they will play without pressure but I just can not see lille getting anything in front of United supporters and their fantastic squad. Should be 2:0 or 3:0 in my opinion becouse if Man score early then It will probbably be embarassing for lill till the end of the game. Should be an easy home win:hope Milan to QUALIFY - well I see this game very clearly. Celtic tryig to maintain their clean sheet and milan scoring very fast. To be honest, I really would like Celtic to qualify bt just can not see how they could overcome superior Milan side. It well might be a cracking one but i am sure that milans european expirience will be too much for unexpirienced celic side wich will not know what to do if they conceede. good luck to all of you:hope

Well. I completely agree with all you said, but as I know rafa Benitez never lost to Barca in cup competitions, and as we all know team with better players (wich Barca certanly is) does not always win, and I am sure that tonight will win team spirit and fanatic supporter. Just for the record Liverpool had not conceeded in their last 9 GAMES at home until Man Utd game, and that is quite impressive:) I am not a fan of Liverpool or Barca and I can thin objectivly about this.I think it is because of the stats. Barcelona has never won on Nou Camp against Liverpool, but has won on Anfield. Also, the public sees too much quality in Barca star players, but does not see that they are not in form. I am for liverpool tonight although this is no bet game for me. Don't worry, if people were correct in their picks there will be no bookies left by now .. :lol:lol:lol :dude:dude:dude -
Re: CL matches - return leg - 6-7/3 Well, there is one thing that I really dont understand, and that is Liverpool-Barca game, i can not see why everybody is going with Barca, and Im pretty sure that Liverpool will go through to the next round and I think it will be a comfortable game for them. First leg showed us what kind of tactician is rafa Benitez and without any offfense Rafa is MUCH MUCH better manager than Rajikaard is and that is a fact no one can turn down. So tonight I am going with liverpool to go through and I am well confident of this pick. All in all good luck for everyone here but just consider this game and pay attention to Liverpools home record and their defence at home... :hope

Re: UEFA Cup (22 Feb) I was looking for tonights banker ad couldnt pass by AZ Alkmaar and Rangers. AZ Alkmaar, well I see it this way. If AZ could score 3 in away game and fener hardly managed to get a draw I think it will be an easy and comfortable win for AZ tonight with one potential problem, Mateja Kezman, serbian who played for PSV and really knows mentality of dutch teams, I think he could even score tonight but probably it wont be enough to grab a positive result against strong AZ home side! good luck wit this and Ill go for : HOME WIN - 1,60 with full stakes! Glasgow Rangers : Main reason for this bet is Israelians bad form when they play away from home and obvious quality diference between two teams. Other reason is that Rangers Must win tonight as they lost in first leg and with Boyd in attack, Dado Prso also involved I see a nice clear home win here. Just for the record be aware of injury status of rangers, they have been hit with lots of injuryes, suspensions, ineligible players etc. Still Im confident about: HOME WIN - 1,60 with 8/10 stakes ! :hope:hope Good luck to you all and myself ofcourse:):)

good writing golo for Inter, but my BIGGEST concern is Inter missing Vieira, e is really big player and can play in offence as well as in defence. Now main question is how will Inters defence cope with two world class striker Villa and Morientes. I am thinking to put money on Inter but after Vieira missing Im not so sure that Inter will clearly win. Good form in Serie A but we all know about milan,juventus etc. In the end Inter should win this with Adriano in-form, as well as Stankovic and their numerous fans. Still afraide of Villa and Morientes. Any thoughts ??INTER - VALENCIA - 1 1.8 Why?Because now is the moment for Inter 2 show that it's capable to win in Europe with strong teams not only in Italy with Sampdoria,Cagliari & Co.They have a strong team,better than Valencia.On the oder hand Valencia don't know how to play like visitors if they face a strong enemy.Thinking also at the Inter's fans i am sure that they can win without conciding any goal. So i'm on Inter also for Mancini,which can't leave this team becauce of his results and i think now is the moment to show everybody his qualitty. Cheers Witchking, just be aware of celtics set-pieces, you are right milan will defend wisely, but it is well probably that celtic could score some crapy goal from free kicks even in first half. Re: Champions League 20/21.02.2006 Well our scotland colleagues will be better at celtic squad, but as I heard Venegoor of Hasselink is probably not playing, MAciley Zurawski also very doubtful, so celtic will have to relay on Millers fitness and I just think it will not be enough for milans BIG defence. On the other side Milan as we saw earlier has many problems upfront with Ronaldo tied, and Gilardinho doubtful, but one good thing for them is that Gilardinho made his way in training and could well play from start of the game. Forgot to mention that Inzaghi is also sidelined due to muscle injury. My pick here will be under 2.5 goals with large stakes considering the problems both team has at front. Milan coming here with wishes for clean sheet, and celtic infront of their great fans will do their best and also could win abot 1:0 or something like that. Re: UEFA Cup Matches (Feb 14 - 15) Shakhtar play was in fact really bad, I had fears for Nancy as thay can play very tactical away from home and i was quite pleased with their performance. You should consider that with a bit of luck nancy colud win, becouse they had been in front late in the game, shakhtar only managed to even the scores and I am very dissapointed in their game, obviously lack of fitness costs them. And thats the reason to be carefull for tonights game of Spartak Moscow, just be carefull. And for Zulte vs. Newcastle I will not bet on total goals, I will rather take straight newcastle win if I decide to bet on that game. My main bet ,and with fair amount of money for tonight will be LEns-Panathenaikos and I just hope that Lens wont let me down :clap

Well the main reason for over should be Newcastles shaky defence and strong attack, becouse Zulte W is a very small team but they are capable to score here to newcastles poor defence and if Zulte scorec zhan Newcastle should be abel to score more than once, Martins and lads are well capable to brak down these small clubs and its highly possible that we will see 3 or more goals in this one ..Why all of u are so sure at ZULTE-NEWCASTLE over 2.5?Can somebody help me with this match because I want to bet some money on this match and Spartak>.......thanks -

I saw both of these games (CSKA and Shakhtar) and IF the circumstances wewre normal, cold weather should have been an advantage for russian and ukraine teams but obviously I was wrong, everything was good at start of these games (supporters, weather, better players), my point is that the only bad thing for them was their fitness level, otherways I just couldnt see Maccabi to snatch a draw:eyes:eyes Well we shoul put these games behind us:lol Now i fancy Lens ,and as PAO will play derby against AEK they should be pretty far away from this game and I expect Lens to battle for victory here and that they will use home advantage wisely becouse of greek clubs poor away form. And we must be honest, replay in greece will bi mouch tougher task for the french side in front of greek fans. Only thing that puts mi of is that I really dont know about LEns ambitions in UEFA cup... any thoughts??:welcome to Punters Lounge. Did you get to see the games? Russian teams obviously lackink in match fitness and thats the main thing that puts me off this clash. Should be a home win but having in mind fitnes and Celtas away form this coul prove as a close fought game with every possibility to end up in draw. Good thoughts anyway from you guys on lens. Does anybody knows Lens ambitions in UEFA cup? I tried their official site but there is no english version:\:\

In fact, today I was stunned by CSKA and Ajax(did not score cuz of red card) and I have lost some money on that. I am pretty confident (as I was for cska) in lens win tommorrow and probbably Newcastle FC win. I would like to hear your suggestions about this becouse I plan to invest pretty big sum of money on these two singles (Lens and Newcastle) . Would be very gratefull for any good information. thanks

Re: Champions League Oct 2 - Oct 3 I had a big laugh when I saw price on Sevilla. Spanish team odd are really shitty and i wont touch this game at all. On the other side, i fancy Lyon, Manchester United and Arsenal to win so my treble for tomorrow will be Steaua - Arsenal 2 Lyon - Rangers 1 Man.Utd - Roma 1 I think Arsenal is fairly priced in this game and will take them to win. With very good domestic record (1st in premiership) and some very talented players in Fabregas, Adebayor, Van persie etc. I think Arsenal just have too much quality for Steaua. I give Arsenal about 60% chance to win and this is my weakest bet for tomorrow. Lyon for me is a very good home team and will try to prove themselves in CL couse in Le Championat they are doing pretty bad. The visitors, Rangers, managed to win on their home ground in glasgow but I rate them as typical home team (almost as Celtic) and they will not look to take much from this game especially considering that Lyon is desperate to win here. So, home win with large stakes here. And my favourite team Man.Utd is playing with Roma in front of their loud support at theatre of dreams. Im confident in Red Devils win here couse in players like Rooney, Ronaldo, Tevez, and old school Scholes, Giggs , Ferdinand, Manchester finally have a competitive team to challenge for CL winners this year. Roma on the other side, got trashed by Inter in Serie A so their moral will probably be very low, plus the fact that Roma lost on Old Trafford last year 7:1 , i thin Roma will be frightened ! Home win with medium stakes. Anyway, GL to you all with CL
