Re: The Get Out Stakes!! Had the bit on Ameeq earlier in the week on Betfair at 48 after the discussions in here, 9 lbs out of handicap (hope it has it in hand). But I really fancy Fair Along. So have decided not to lay off Ameeq but to play twice in the race . If either wins I'd be happy. If they dont, I've had a great week but lost a bit of dough.

Re: Countdown to Cheltenham - Bets & Banter I've taken the advice on Ameeq and just had £20 @ 48 on betfair this morning. A lad at work and i have had a tenner each Got to say that I've bben interested in the County hurdle for other reasons, and that is basically will Fair along run?? If so i think its very well treated back over hurdles. I suppose we'll know more once tuesday and The Arkle has passed. Exciting aint it :clap

Re: Countdown to Cheltenham - Bets & Banter
I'm sort of hoping its Pancake?? I took the 14/1 on that when i read hobbs' comments in RP on Weds. Or are you going to put me off by saying its something else??hes given me 1 that runs in the last race on the first day.Ive took the 14/1 for it. I'll give you the details ASAP. just mega busy at the mo............................. -
Re: Countdown to Cheltenham - Bets & Banter
Before yesterdays race Turko was readily available in a number of places at 25's definately and bigger I think. According to oddschecker you can still get 25's at Coral. If you fancied it at 16's I'm sure you might want to go back in at 25's??I am on Turko before that performance @ 16/1 has now been trimmed into 12's -
Re: Countdown to Cheltenham - Bets & Banter
Doh !! now available at 50's :wall for sun alliance and trainer has said she wouldnt now want to send it straight to Chelt after a fall. NMight run at Exeter next Sunday I think. Winner looked good, but I do think Glasker Mill was going well and until the fall had jumped well. Not giving up on him just yetJust gone in on Glasker Mill @25/1 for sun alliance at Chelt Obviously i hope that it shows it well being at fontwell today and the price contracts. I think it has the making of a top class chaser, although for the chelt race i'm obviously afraid of Denman, but you should never be scared of one horse.:hope If the price does contract it may well give me an opportunity to lay some of it off,if come March i'm really scared of Denman - or anything else that shows it merits Good luck all -

Re: Newbury 10/02/07 Put this up in the ante post thread previously, I cant see any reason to change my views. Have been interested in Papini for a while but to be honest was a bit worried that Hendersons Carraciola seemed to be the buzz horse from the stable given a bit of a plunge over the last few week or so. Hendersons record in the race is top drawer. Anyway I think the ground has come right for Papini to be my choice, especially given the fact that Fitzgerald has chosen it over Carraciola. Previous form with the favourite gives it a live shout Likes course, likes distance, will like ground, top jockey / trainer, owned by Newbury Owners group (they must want a winner at Newb) , reasonably weighted and hopefully primed for the race (along with 20 others!!) Not knocking the progressive fav at all, just at the odds and given the likely change in the ground i think its opposable. good luck :hope

Re: Kempton 09/2 copied from the e/w thread Here goes then, Kempton 4.15. Dad Says Heazle Yard in form, first run in hcap after three quick runs presumably to get a mark. Up in distance on first hcap run. f/cast 10/1 and just checked 10/1 availablein a number of places. race pays 4 places, worth a punt in a race that most have doudts or questions over them I think. appreciate a few fancied by others in the race. :hope good luck all

Re: Ante Post bets Hi all, my first post on here after lurking for a while. Only just ante post i suppose with a couple of days prior to the race. What used to be the Tote gold Trophy, now the Totesport Trophy on Sat at Newbury. Previous form with the favourite gives it a live shout too at 3 times the favs odds. anyway just backed it at 11's win and a small place element to cover stakes (perhaps i should have put the place bit equally on hendersons other two as savers??) time will tell. Likes course, likes distance, will like ground, top jockey / trainer, owned by Newbury Owners group (they must want a winner at Newb) , reasonably weighted and hopefully primed for the race (along with 20 others!!)
