  1. Re: CL 14-15/4 QF return leg Chelsea v Liverpool pick: Liverpool to win by 2 or more goals @ 6.5 (bet365) A lot has already been said except maybe one thing, and that is the potential of Liverpool side and their ability to produce outstanding results, even against top teams in the world - that is, in the best days in recent history of this club. They managed to beat Manchester twice this season, as well as Chelsea. No doubt that Hidink came and managed to turn things round, he is a great manager after all, but I don't think they are aware they could very well be hit by a train tonight... As for Barca, I expect nothing less than another easy walk in the park, especially now when the pressure is off. :cheers

  2. Re: CL - Wednesday 25 February

It is obvious that the most popular bet for tonight is Real M to win...I personally can't understand why that is the case...Liverpool should be favorites here IMO, hence great value on them. Reasoning: they are simply much stronger. BOL to everyone! :cheers
Real did not stand a chance against a hardly-half-effort of Liverpool! Congrats to all who won some money though I reckon it was tricky. :unsure
  3. Re: Return to Oz and the Michael Wray Experiment. Thank you all for the replies! Yes, I do understand that my wishes might be a bit too much to ask publicly, on this forum...:$...and I apologize for my indiscretion. I have read some of the early post before and got more familiar with the subject (although my 1st post was quite rough). The main reason why I'd like to look into methodology of the system is to extract, if possible, some new 'strings' that could improve my own 'picture'...to fill in a few more gaps of my own and maybe even make some contribution. In other words, it is not very likely for me to follow a system, if I do not know how the selections are made, even with the respectable experimental success behind it. :cheers

  4. Re: Uefa Cup ( 18.12.2008 ) Olympiakos v Hertha - away win @ 4.2 Hosts are doing very decently in a domestic league and I give them all the credits for that, yet I do not think they are anything special. Hertha, the club from surely the stronger European league, finished the half-season honorably - in third spot just behind Hoffenheim & Bayern. Hence the value bet. All I'm saying is that Germans might go out tonight, play well, and scrape a few more points one more time before they get some holidays. :loon

  5. Re: Uefa Cup ( 18.12.2008 )

i read after the last game that the manager was apologising to their fans for their failure to qualify but i still think benfica arent up to this tonight, i can well see benfica thinking they are going to play hard for their fans and maybe score 3 or 4 but they arent going to risk getting injured and after 20 or so minutes if theyve not scored the realisation that they arent going to get all those goals will affect the way they play their is another team out there, and they can top the group, surely better to play a third place team than a champions league team the further they qualify the more money the club makes. their are too many negatives in backing benfica tonight the only positive is playing for the fans and what if they cant be asked to turn up, such a miniscule chance of qualifying is far too risky to gamble on not when their form is so dodgy, id rather back copenhagen or singapore they look like theyve got a better chance of victory than benfica have. the bookies prices are varying lads & willhill are only offering 8/11 where as all the rest are around evens so this looks like most of them agree with me apart from lads but then ive taken their 3/1 in a treble with these other 2
I'm with you on this one - good analysis! :ok
  6. Re: Uefa Cup ( 17.12.2008 )

game : St. Etienne v Valencia pick : under 2.5 @ 1.7 My choice for this game is primarily based on a fact that both teams have extremely important matches the following weekend (Real - Valencia ; St. Etienne - Auxerre). Hosts will have to save some (if not all?) firepower for their last match of the half-season and, at least, try finishing above the relegation zone (priority has to be quite obvious since they've done so well in the uefa cup so far, which can't be said for a domestic league). Valencia are traveling to Madrid and there isn't much that has to be said regarding importance of this clash. Both teams have qualified for the next phase - taking the above facts into account, all are promising a boring low-scoring game. :)
    ...not this time. :wall

  8. Re: Champions League - Matchday 6 - Wednesday 10th December

:rollin:rollin:rollin Are you for real??? :rollin:rollin:rollin Thanks for that comedy, you've cheered me up. Look I've got more important things to do than talk about that team of farmers (who in their two games against Celtic employed anti-football tactics in europe than even Walter Smith would be proud of) We could go through every game in the cl this year and argue Celtic could have taken something from it. Home to Aalborg (pen miss and legit goal chopped off) Man U away (granted outplayed for majority of the game but the 2 offside goals for united changed the game) Villarreal away (again hard to argue too much that villarreal deserved to win the game but the goal came for a dubious free kick) Man U home (outstanding backs against the wall performance and so unlucky not to take all 3 points, coming within 6 minutes of a truely famous victory) Aalborg away (One of the biggest freak results you're likely to see in the cl, anyone who watched that game could not explain how celtic never walked away without all 3 points that night) and from what I hear a fantastic display from us last night to take home all 3 points. Aalborg are truely a WOEFUL team, and I'll be surprised if they last longin the UEFA cup. That isnt being dis-respectful to them, thats just the truth. In my honest opinion, they are the worst side I've EVER seen us play in Europe.....EVER. I cant explain how they took 4 points off us, anyone who has watched the two games will probably say the same thing. Gd luck to Aalborg in the UEFA, you'll bloody well need it.
THOMMO85, If you look at the Celtic-AAlborg game from another(different) angle, it is possible to rephrase your question. How good was Celtic's team really in this year's CL(or in the past on their travels: 0-1-18) or just in the mentioned game, when they couldn't get the result with all the chances that they had? At the end - result is the only solid reflection of the game...
  9. Re: Champions League - Tuesday 5th Dec First of all, why is everyone blindly, underrating Barcelona?? This could be because of Werder's good results in Bundes. but get real. Despite injuries, they are already accustomed to play without some valuable players (Eto, Messi,...). ....don't trust me, just have a good look at some recent Victories, rather beatings : Barcelona-Zaragoza 3:1 Majorka - Barcelona 1:4 Barcelona - Villareal 4:0 And I do not think they deserved to lose against Chelsea when they drew (2:2)!!!

So do not be :zzz :zzz Watch out for an ALIEN on the field - RONALDINJO

:cheers :cheers :cheers :cheers :cheers :cheers :cheers

  10. Re: Champios League - Tuesday 5th Dec Barsa is ready to bite tomorrow. No matter how obvious this might seem, home side are to start playing very offensively from very first seconds of this mach. The best team in the world will not stop til they are at least 2 goals ahead. So Barsa (-1) to win. I hope there ain't any more injuries.

  11. Re: UEFA Cup (Nov 29-30) Game : Wisla Krakow - Rapid Buc. Ingenious is a thought that just came up in my head - since both teams appear to be utterly poor, therefore, I cannot help myself seeing it as a pinball scene, where goals are to be emerging out of nowhere - so, many goals just like that is a great likelihood! HOW ABOUT THAT?

  12. Re: UEFA Cup (Nov 29-30)

My opinion is to ignore you for your arrogant approach! :@ If you have no reasons, at least dont say: Hey, there is something I threw at you and now comment it "try to make you do some thinking of your own"!
:clap :clap :clap Hey right back at you!! If I did't announce any arguments does not mean I haven't been damaging a brain of mine to come up with this short list. Take it easy mate, don't ya think I could not have possibly had any bad intentions whatsoever? WHY WOULD I EVEN WRITE OTHERWISE
  13. Re: UEFA Cup (Nov 29-30)

BELIEVE THE TIME OF MY CONTRIBUTION HAS COME, WHICH I DEDICATE TO ALL

AZ Alkmaar - Liberec : Home win ([email protected]) Livorno - Maccabi : Home win ([email protected]) Dinamo B. - Leverkusen : home win ([email protected]) Besiktas - Club B. : Home win ([email protected]) Grasshoppers - Sevilla : 0-2 [email protected] Osasuna - Odense : Home win ([email protected])

dude :dude :dude :dude :dude :

Because I do not have time for reasoning right now, intention is to consider what I've just thrown at you and try to make you do some thinking of your own....Can't wait for remarks, even counter-attacks.

  14. Re: UEFA Cup (Nov 29-30) Here's some poor info on Partizan - Auxerre mach : GK Kralj and also extreamly experienced player Nadj will miss this one, and yet I wouldn't put my money to back Auxerre, mainly cause Partizan's stadium will certainly be crowded and there aren't offten big teams visiting this one. Moreover, Partizan have been unlucky hosting italian team Livorno!! Players are about to leave their souls on the field tonight Selection : Auxerre (Lay) @ don't know how much P.S. Do not question whether I'm competent or not -- Partizan and I are from the same city. So, partners, this would be the best advice from me for now.

  15. Re: UEFA Cup (Nov 29-30)

Spanish teams have a terrible habit of grinding out draws away from home. Anyone else share my opinion or think otherwise? Some stats would be interesting' date=' I think this might be a good spot for an unders bet.[/quote'] Totally mate, very good reasoning and this will be my first pick for today (goals:0-2 FT @ 1,9):ok
  16. Re: Volleyball: International, FIBV World Championship 2006 ,18/11/06

Hi mate, it's nice to see someone who is an expert of volley. Yes, you're right, most people aren't interested in this sport. you can find the schedule of the WC here: http://www.2006vball.jp/en/matchinfo/index.html#2jiround I think volley could be a great stuff for tipsters. I'm absolutely not an expert, anyway 5 of my 6 bets that I placed on women's world championship won:tongue2 I'd like to see some picks and comments from you, because practically there isn't any technical analysis about this sport, neither here nor on other betting forums. How about serbia-puerto rico tomorrow morning? Ok, I know, serbia wins of course, but that is not a value bet. odds are ridicolous. Some special bets on unibet are interesting. For example: serbia-puerto rico first set over 44.5 points. Is puerto rico able to make at least 20 points in the first set? I hope so, because it will be my pick for tomorrow. odds are 1.90 Ok, it's risky, but I think it's worth a try.
Sorry mate but I haven't got any betting access to this volleyball comp. :cry To be more precise, there are very few items that I can bet on and they're rather ridiculous, as far as offers are concerned. Example : Ain't no betts on points scored, only win or defeat + some handicaps. -> Anyway I'll continue to follow championship, so if you need some tips...:cheers P.S. Put money on Serbia to win the cup, might be tempting odds -> prediction based mainly on strictly competent analysis. :ok
  17. Re: Volleyball: International, FIBV World Championship 2006 ,18/11/06 Could someone post me a schedule for next couple of days of the competition? I find it hard to believe how little interest people show for the most beautiful sport in the world, thou not so profitable. Also some good odds for betting, you just need a right selection of games. I'll be more than happy to give some tempting suggestions.:clap Almost forgot to mention that I'm an expert in this field since I've been into it all my life.:dude

  18. Re: UEFA Cup - (Nov 23) I'm a new fellow here as you could have noticed, unfortunately unhappy by the responce of the rest. Anyway, none seems to mention game : Newcastle-Celta. There are some good odds on Celta tonight and I'd like to hear an opinion. Anyone?:notworthy :loon :eek
