  1. Re: A Trip to a Grand Slam?

Since I'm bored and really don't have anything to do I've doing lot's of thinking and I came up with an idea. To make the tennis more intresting and to get some new tennis fans, plus maybe draw some more people to PL, I was thinking about making a tennis betting blog with the goal of making enough money for transport from any major city in the world to a tennis tournament. The money also is going to cover a descent hotel/motel and food of course. Money for alcohol and non-ugly escort girl will be a bonus. Instead of making the bets in stakes I will post the amount of money I bet. I need suggestions on:
    1. Tournament (no sooner than Roland Garros and no lame tournament)
    2. Amount of money to start betting with
    3. Bookie to be used.

If anyone is intrested holla ! :welcome

    Interested...
  2. Re: Davis Cup Final - Olympic Stadium, Moscow (01 December - 03 December)

Nikolay Davydenko v David Nalbandian It's feels like it's always to predict a winner when Nalbandian is involved. He played great vs Safin but played like a clown today in the doubles where he had really poor serve and returns. Davydenko rested today while Nalbandian is gonna play his third match in three days. If we add that Davydenko had a better year and that he has a home advantage he should be a small favorite here. But since it's a final and you don't know how the nerves are going to be tomorrow I'm only gonna play medium stakes. Nikolay Davydenko - 1.84 @ Pinnacle 8/10 (Medium stakes)
My pick also...and i see advantage at Davy-s side for much more reasons, style of play, surface, home crowd....no way he is gonna lose this one.
  3. Re: Masters Cup - Shanghai

Tommy Robredo - James Blake Everybody seems to be bad-mouthing Robredo this week as they all wonder that tha heck he's doing here, but I still have to credit him for at least doing his best and not clowning himself to a loss. Robredo should be the with most motivation tomorrow as Blake has already won the group and maybe will clown himself thru the match tomorrow to save energy for the semi-finals. Tommy Robredo - 2.90 @ Betfair 5/10
I dont think that James will lose this one couse than he faces a chance to play Fedex in semies....wouldnt you like to avoide him????
  4. Re: Masters Cup - Shanghai

Blake Blake seems to be out-of-shape lately but has the advantage on his side vs both Nadal (2-0) and Daydenko (4-0) Overall record against each of the other players 12-18 and 2-5 indoor. Overall record at the Masters Cup 0-0.
Just to set the records right here...Blake has 9-1 against the guys in his group ( 4-0 with Davy, 2-0 with Nadal, 3-1 with Tommy ) the only loss was in Australia with Tommy...so that gives interesting wiev in this group...GL
  5. Re: Masters Cup - Shanghai

Ivan Ljubicic vs Andy Roddick Ljubicic been sick and haven't been able to practice fully last few weeks and Roddick is back from injury talking positive about the surface about his shape and surface which he thinks gives him an advantage so I dont know why the price is so high on him. I know he's telling the truth about his injury because I KNOW he's been practicing all week in Shanghai. Andy Roddick - 1.94 @ Pinnacle 10/10
I told you to hurry back, and look what happend...I have to disagree on this one. Ljubo and Roddick have both been out of practice lat 10 days, but they both started trainig on monday in Shanghai. The surface...Ljubo said that its much slower than last year, that is very similar to one in Wiena...so that means it should give advantage to Ljubo, and NOT to Roddick who prefers as fast as it gets...so be carefull on this one PLEASE:notworthy :notworthy
  6. Re: ATP Paris (Master Series) - WTA - Quebec - WTA Hasselt

Murray is the biggest clown quitter I know... Im with you that Berdych is a banker...not so sure about Robredo. Much because I like Nieminen more IMO Safin is a banker too... Not sure if I'm gonna touch Ancic - Davydenko as Davydenko has no motivation at all and there are rumours that is gonna be a fix...
What are you, 99 ? You are like an odl wise man. Bedrych banker imo,Tommy not,Jarko will give him a plenty of things to fight for,and lets be honest,Tommy doesnt have what it takes on this surface,Gasqi was a fixer, and Matieu clown..Safin - Haas...no bet,No way Safin is goona make an easy break, and with his ups and downs....And about Ancic-Davy match,im a Croat, and Mario needs this one for Shangai, but in this surface everything but Davy easy win would be a huge surprise,so i need to hope for a fix...anyways no bet...or small on Ancic just to make it interesting to watch....Anyways odds about 1.4 on Davy are not worth taking imo... Go MARIO:notworthy
  7. Re: ATP Paris (Master Series) - WTA - Quebec - WTA Hasselt

Robby Ginepri vs Max Mirnyi Max Mirnyi has some good results here as he has reached semi-finals once has has looked in good form lateley. Most important is that he had to qualify to this tournament so he should be more adaptable to the surface then Ginepri today. Ginepris best result here is 2nd round. Max Mirnyi - 2.20 @ VC Bet
The surface is a bit slower than usually, and the balls bounce a bit lower so it should suit Ginapri more... Is there a live stream somwere on the net from Paris, couse there isnt any on the official site...
  8. Re: Basel (ATP) - Lyon (ATP) - St Petersburg (ATP) - Linz (WTA) Gasquet - Gicquel pick 2 odds 4.30 4/10 Well...H2H 1-0 for Gasqi but it was played 2002. The odds are are just huge value, this means that the bookies give Gicquel only 22% chance of winning, and that is bull....Gasqi ist Fedex. Gaski on carpet this year 5-3, but best ranked player he won was Soderling ( 26. ) and that was in 3 sets 2 days ago.Against Frenchmans he has 5-5 record, but the most important reason is his lack of fitness, and after two long mathes, and four less hours of rest IMO this should be a close match. Gicquel on the other hand has 9-1 on carpet in last 10 matches,in last three matches def. Hrbaty,Grosjean,Malisse which are very goos players, and has very interesting record of 9-1 against his fellow countrymen...We also have to take in concideration his big mental advantage as a very stabile player and enormuss experience...for all this reasons i think this should be much more closer match than odds suggest. GL

  9. Re: Basel (ATP) - Lyon (ATP) - St Petersburg (ATP) - Linz (WTA)

Nicole Vaidisova v Nadia Petrova Petrova is flying her way thru to the final and is going to make a short stop on the way vs Vaidisova. Vaidisova was lucky vs Jankovic as she was out-of-shape and having troubles with her shoulder. Vaidisova has a good serve but Petrovas is even better and even is she has good returns she's making far too many unforced errors. In the match vs Jankovic I think she made 50+ unforced errors and Petrova is not going to be forgiving. Last they met was two weeks ago where Petrova won a hard battle, playing with injury. Nadia Petrova - 1.39 @ Betfair
    Agreed,but i dont like the odds...any toughts on Gicquel...now for 2.30 and i see him as a favorite here,or am i wrong?
  10. Re: Basel (ATP) - Lyon (ATP) - St Petersburg (ATP) - Linz (WTA)

Almagro nedded one tie-break and one break ball in the 2nd set and the match is pretty over...I guess I was underestimating Almagro. Lol....Almagro saved 3 breakbolls last game...:rollin Bjorkman / Johansson lost in super-tie break...lol....rest of the week is gonna be a race to win back all the money I lost so far.
I told you to avoid that double match mate,it was 50/50...dont give up,you make great picks, and IMO this last 10 days have been lousy for a lot of people, but its the end of season so thats why...we only need to be a bit more careful when picking...GL
  11. Re: Basel (ATP) - Lyon (ATP) - St Petersburg (ATP) - Linz (WTA) Hrbaty - Gicquel pick 1 odds 2.05 pinnacle 5/10 Their first match, both players in preety good shape, but i would give advantage to Dominik because of his style of play which shoud give him the advantage in this match. His fighting spirit is also a thing that shoud give him a bit more chance of winning. And the final reason are the odds which represent value in this match couse IMO they should be other way arround

  12. Re: ATP - Masters Series Madrid

I like the look of Gonzalez over Johansson as well. He's in great form lately and beat him in straight sets at Wimbledon last year so he should be able to handle his serve on a fast surface. Another tough 3 setter for JJ today. You'd think it would have to catch up with him sooner or later. 1.93 at pinnacle atm.
Gonzo has some troubble with his shoulder so check it out somewhere for latest news about it
  13. Re: ATP - Masters Series Madrid

Totally disagree, Mardy has a huge serve and the way that these courts are playing that is a weapon in itself. In addition, the faster the court the poorer Nadal plays - add into that a minor foot injury. At 6/1 Mardy is well overpriced and worth a decent punt - the bookies always get carried away when pricing up Nadal as they think seem to think he is on a par with Federer. The truth is - HE'S NOT. Bet: Mardy at 6/1 = 7 out of ten.
    Like i said...mirraclles happen...but not so often
