WR Steve Smith is back for Carolina, he has missed all preseason games and the first two regular season games with two strained hamstrings and an ingrown toenail. Last week he had seven catches for 112 yards. The Panthers defense has improved, they managed to hold the Buccaneers to 64 rushing yards and 209 total yards. The Saints pulled off a convincing 23-3 win over the Atlanta Falcons.The Saints defence has been solid so far, they rank second in the NFC with 266.7 yards allowed per game. New Orleans managed to neutralise the Falcons ground game and allowed only 117 rushing yards. QB michael Vick managed to threw only 137 yards and was sacked 4 times. New Orleans offens is also doing great at the moment.They have avaraged 25.3 ppg, 229.3 py and 114.7ry compared to the avarage 15.0 ppg, 187.7py and 91.0ry achived by Carolina. Starting QB Drew Brees has thrown 720 yards and has a 86.3 QB rating. LB Dan Morgan is still out with concussion and Shaun Williams is reported qustionsble for the Panthers. New Orleans is missing FS Brian Scott who is out with a tigh injury and MLB Danny Clark is qustionable.

Re: CL matches Wed 27/09 AS Roma won 0-4 against Parma on Sunday. Now they are second in the Italian Serie A. Valencia has also started well and they are sharing first place in the domestic league. Roma and Valencia are both contestants for taking the top spot in group D. It will probably be a low scoring and cautious game as both teams try to avoid a defeat here. And italian teams have always been good in killing the game when they are aiming for the draw.
