  1. Re: Golf The Masters

Woods is the obvious pick Goosen 28/1 2.5 pts e.w and Woods to finish first, Goosen second 40/1 3 pts Goosen has a terrific record here (4 top 3s in the last 6 years including 2 seconds.) Last year he was 1000 in running having just made the cut and then went on to trade odds on when on the finally day he stormed to the lead and nearly won it. The course clearly suits his style of golf, he remains a pretty long driver and he putts exceptionally well here and on the faster greens in general although reports indicate they will not be as quick this year as last. I would not have backed him a month ago as he looked a player in decline but his second to Ogilvy at the World Golf Championship the other week was very much a welcome return to form. the twice US Open champion is very dangerous round here. Agree with you there Woody, I am on Goosen too at 22/1 without Woods. Goosen is back to his old self eversince his laser treatment to his eyes early this year. He should have a field day and options are definetly there to trade later. BOL. :dude
  2. Re: Champions League (Feb 19th)

    Celtic Suck Ass
Mate I think that was really uncalled for really from someone with more than a thousand posts.

ROMA 2-1 Real Madrid I agree with everyone that this game has a 80% for the over 2.5 goals. Roma has not been convincing recently and Madrid has been blowing hot and cold. With Sneijder and Robinho not playing for the game, it may not seem the best midfield for Madrid. I believe Spalleti will be able tactically plot and bring out the best out of Totti and have a slender lead in the first leg. Liverpool 2-0 Inter Milan One of the sentimental matches for fans of Liverpool. Kicked out by Barnsley and not performing up to standards in the EPL, with the only way to glory thru the CL. Liverpool has not been performing well of late but Benitez prove that his tactics always work in the CL. If he doesnt go into the Qfinals, he may have to go the recruitment centre and find another job. Gerrand, Torres, Mascherano, Reina are back for the team. And i have one controversial theory. When everyone expects Liverpool to perform, they underachieve. But if everyone believes Liverpool to lose and fade away, they ALWAYS do come back. Just a bit like the England team. This will be one their comeback matches :> just an intuition. Schalke 04 1-1 Porto I really want the German team to win. but Porto has been great this season. This is the match where the draw appears to be the most eminent. Home ground really counts with the Germans blasting their team. It can be great for Schalke04 or may even be stressful for the team. I believe Porto will just sit and wait for an opportunity to counterattack. I think it is better to avoid this match completely. 1X Olympiakos 0-0 Chelsea I have to admit Chelsea has been a great team to place your bets on. Very dependable and trustworthy to win matches. But this match seems really unpredictable. The Home team holds a wonderful home record and the Greeks could really post an upset. Chelsea will have their whole squad back. Chelsea to win? Greeks to post an upset? Lets just settle for a draw. X2
That was fantastic mate especially the correct scores:clap
  3. Re: UEFA Cup (Feb 13-14) Fiorentina in good form in the italian league while Rosenberg are rested for the season. At first fiorentina looked a good choice, but however the odds on them seems to be increasing gradually. Not able to find any reason after searching around. Anyone aware of any latest negative news that could be causing the movement.:cheers

  4. Re: UEFA Cup (Feb 13-14) Rangers have shown much ability in front of goal where they have scored 15 in all competitions in the last 6 games and conceded none. Pana on the other hand have been real tight at the back and have only conceded 1 in their last 6 league games, coincidentally to Olympiakos Pirhaeus to whom they conceded 4 in the cup 4 days later. As this is a 2 legged competition, I have a feel that Rangers with all their ability will go forward from the first whistle to grab a lead or two to settle down as they are clearly aware that it wouldn't be easy over in Greece. Pana with great players as Popodo and co forward could pose a serious thread in the counters if they were to fall behind. The over 2 priced at 1.77 looks inviting. The last time both these teams met were in the Champions League back in 2003 when Rangers lost 1-3 at home and drew 1-1 away.

  5. Re: FIFA Club World Cup

Thats what I am trying to find out. Which is the real handicap. :)
Congrats 3-1 a nice win for Urawa. Freaks it means the bookies are offering 2 different handicaps and it is your choice to take either one of them, therefore both are considered the A/H markets on offer. Normally the lower the handicap you decide to offer the lesser the money you will be able to win. If your confidence level is higher for the team to easily beat the handicap than you can always take the higher handicap and win more $$$$. Hope it clarifies mate.
  6. Re: Uefa Cup Thur 25th October Abeerden are without their top striker D.Mackie,J.Smith and Soutar. They are into this game with some confidence winning their last 3 games. Maybe our friends from Greece can help out with Pana who on record are unbeaten on their 3 home games with 0 goals conceded. The strength of the teams that they had played against I am not familiar. But 1 thing I can be sure of is the Greek stands which will definitely be their 12th man on the field, but at this odds I would preferably leave them alone. Just my thoughts boss. BOL in your bets.

  7. Re: Women World Cup 10/9/07 To 30/09/07 Guess its down to the crucial stages, if anyone is interested in the scenario's at this stage this excerpts from the official FIFA site would be of some help. Group A - How things stand:1. Germany: 4 points, goal difference +11 2. Japan: 4 points, +1 3. England: 2 points, 0 4. Argentina: 0 points, -12 Argentina have no points and are out of the running for a quarter-final spot, leaving the other three teams in Group A to fight it out. Germany and Japan face each other, while England take on Argentina. If England fail to beat the South Americans, both Germany and Japan will qualify, regardless of their result. A win for England would be enough to see them through to the next round, with one proviso: should Germany and Japan draw, then England need to win by two clear goals, giving them a better goal difference than the Japanese, with whom they will be level on points. Should England win by only one goal, then they would be level on points with Japan with the same goal difference. The number of goals scored would then come into play, and should the teams still be level here, then disciplinary points (yellow and red cards) will decide, since when the two teams met, the match ended in a 2-2 draw. Group B - How things stand:1. Korea DPR: 4 points, +2 2. USA: 4 points, +2 3. Nigeria: 1 point, -2 4. Sweden: 1 point, -2 Sweden, who were runners-up in 2003, are currently in trouble in Group B, as are Nigeria. The Swedes play Korea DPR in their final match, while the Nigerians face USA. A draw will be enough for the Koreans and the Americans to reach the quarter-finals, whereas Sweden and Nigeria both need to win by three clear goals if they are to get through to the next round. If both were to win by this margin, then USA and Korea DPR would be out. Should there be the same result in both matches, then disciplinary points would be decisive, as in Group A. Group C - How things stand:Australia: 4 points, +3 Norway: 4 points, +1 Canada: 3 points, +3 Ghana: 0 points, -7 Ghana are already out of the running in Group C, with the three others teams all hoping to make the quarter-finals. Leaders Australia play Canada while Norway face Ghana. The Australians and Norwegians have four points each and are favourites to go through to the last eight, with a draw being enough to see them progress. Canada need to win, unless Norway were to lose to Ghana, in which case a draw would enable them to qualify as they would have a better goal difference. Group D - How things stand:1. Brazil: 6 points, +9 2. Denmark: 3 points, +1 3. China PR: 3 points, -3 4. New Zealand: 0 points, -7 In Group D, Brazil are as good as through already even if mathematically, Denmark - their next opponents - and China PR, who face New Zealand, could still catch them. Those two teams, however, are basically fighting it out for the remaining quarter-final spot. Even New Zealand still have a slight hope, but they would need a footballing miracle. For China to qualify, they have to either better Denmark's result or in the event of both sides winning, achieve a victory margin five goals better than the Danes'. BOL :cheers

  8. Re: Under 21 Internationals Austria won the 1st game against the Belgian's 1-0 and now are playing the Slovaks. If I remember correctly the Austrians won the U20's in Canada last year. Would any of our mates from Austria enlighten us of as to how many players from that team are involved in this u21 group. The Asian handicap are priced at level ball at 1.90 for the Austrians which look valuable.

  9. It seems that I am having problem opening pages in Pl they tend to be very slow. As for other sites they are fast and normal. This has been happening only recently (about a week of two)before which it was normal. I did not install any new spyware or antivirus recently. Could anyone with the same problem b4 or expertise in this area please share. For info PL is on my favourite tag which I think should not be a cause of the problem. I am using broadband. Thanks

  10. Re: Gambling expirience! Respect your instincts there Vagus. Hope you had some kind of bet winning you some $$$$ in the Poland game. Personally I have a strong feel that England WILL win this tie, and win it better than Crotia and Russia against the Estonians (that is with a minimum of 2-3 goals more than the opponents. I have not betted on any games so far other than this game in this round of Euro as I feel the bookies are and have placed the markets too high. However to all fellow mates this is only my 'smell'. Hope I can be dancing :nana :nana :nana around after the end of the game:hope .

  11. Re: Hockey World Championships 3 - 4/5 I had Norway -0.5 as the odds on dnb were not available on my locals, so does the win on the 4th quarter counts. Could someone explain. 12. Re: Royal League (10 Dec)

Hitting 5 of 6 bets today makes me a happy punter. Hope there are someone who have the same thoughts...:)

  13. Re: A-League Round 12 - (Nov 9th - 12th) LIVE DISCUSSION

The head to heads in this League need to be taken notice of at times because history suggested Perth would not be an easy assignment for Melbourne. Adelaide is another side who has beaten melbourne regularly. That is another Perth/Melbourne game decided by the one goal.
Nice to return home and see a positive result though not one that I would be extremely glad with. Thanks Beejay,Ads,and Oscar:clap . The bookmakers seems to be more versed with the league now than at the beginning of the season. It's either the top spots that are allowing the upper teams to relax a little bit more in the games or the bottom teams are now starting to fight for their breath. Lets hope the remaining matches for the round will be more pro punters. Good Luck to all.:drums
