  1. Re: Ligue 2 > 21st Dec - 23rd Dec

Hello all' date= Here are my thoughts on this weekend's games: Arles v Dijon (Fri): Very hard match to call. ACA are in a better shape now under Mosca and have a live threat in attack with Ben Saada looking more in the mood. Dijon got a good win last time out at home to Istres, but they have a very poor away record and are struggling to keep teams out. They still miss a presence in midfield - Sankhare is still injured - and they surrender that part of the pitch too easily away from home. Arles shouldn't lose, but it's not the easiest match to call. Prediction: Arles to avoid defeat. Caen v Chateauroux (Fri): A few factors here go against Caen. They need to bounce back after losing at Nantes and they are missing their best striker, Duhamel, in attack tonight. La Berri are normally very conservative away from home - they've drawn six and lost three of their nine matches on the road - and I expect them to adopt a similarly cautious approach in this one. Sambou, their captain, is suspended, weakening their defence. Much will depend if Caen can break down notoriously difficult opponents. Make sure you factor La Berri's stodginess into your equations. Prediction: Caen to win or draw Clermont v Auxerre (Fri): Another perilously difficult match to get a grip on. Clermont aren't really impressing me at the moment, although they at least have something to build on after getting a point at Chateauroux last week. Casoni needs to instil more focus and discipline into his side. On paper, with Kapo, Oliech and Mandjeck in their ranks, they should be far higher up the league. They've been hopeless outside of Bourgogne this season, but Clermont struggle for goals. Nasty match on the coupon; my lean is towards the visitors not losing, but you could feasibly make a case for any sort of outcome. Prediction: Auxerre to avoid defeat. Guingamp v GFCO Ajaccio (Fri): I can't really see past Guingamp in this one. They have plenty of goals in the team, are playing with confidence and Yatabare returns. A lot of teams will go to the Roudourou and park the bus. Le Gaz will probably try and do that, but defensively they aren't strong enough and disciplined enough to stay tight for 90 minutes. They miss one of their strikers in Colloredo tonight, which is a blow. I like GFCO at home, but away I see them as vulnerable prey. EAG really should take this unless they misfire. Odds will probably reflect that though. Prediction: Guingamp to win. Istres v Lens (Fri): These two are motoring along quite nicely just beneath the podium. I really like Lens since Sikora came in and he's still yet to lose a match. This will be a big test because Istres are very strong on their own patch. Les violets are slightly weakened by injuries to Bru and De Preville, but they attack with such conviction and thus make them hard to oppose at home. I wouldn't be confident on any outcome here because both sides are playing very well. Istres' defeat at Dijon maybe makes them a smidgen vulnerable, but I think it's another trappy encounter between two good Ligue 2 teams. Prediction: Decent chance of draw; Istres perhaps just favourites. Laval v Le Havre (Fri): This match is complicated because this will be Revault's last match in charge on Le Havre. He has decided he doesn't want the manager's job on a permanent basis. Le Havre are usually poor away from home, but under Revault they did get a win, albeit at lowly Sedan. I expect the players will be desperate to sign off with a win for their coach. Laval have only won three matches at the Stade Francis Le Basser this season, a poor return considering their usually solid form at home. They are in a bit of rut, losing seven goals in two matches, and they are also without Talmont in defence. My instinct here is that we (a) might have goals and (b) might see Revault sign off in style. Prediction: Le Havre to avoid defeat; decent chance of at least two goals. Nimes v Niort (Fri): I don't like Niort. It's nothing against the town or indeed the people, but I just haven't warmed to them this season. I get the impression the wheels are coming off a little bit. Too many draws and now too many defeats. They were beaten on their own patch by Sedan on Tuesday and I can see them starting to toil. Nimes, on the other hand, have been quite handy this season. They got a good point at Monaco last week and have won three out of their last four home games. No Kone in attack tonight, but Thibault isn't a bad replacement. Gragnic is in good form in midfield too. Can't see Nimes losing this and they could well take advantage of Niort's shortcomings. Prediction: Nimes to win; slight chance of a draw. Tours v Angers (Fri): Two sides in decent nick right now. Angers' away form is very impressive and they've done well in the "Loire derbies" this season. There's no team news that I can see to give either side a particular edge, so I'm finding it hard to call this one. Angers may be worth at least a point because they evidently know how to plunder points away from home. Probably a match best watched. Prediction: Tough one; Angers to avoid defeat. Le Mans v Monaco (Sat): I think it'd be quite brave to bet on Monaco right now. Yes, their form on the road is decent, but there's a pong of a disjointed and demotivated team out there right now. Ranieri isn't knitting his players together like one would expect and there are reports of cliques in the camp. Le Mans have been very strong at home this season and I reckon the MMMArena will be quite lively for this one. I'd be leaning towards the hosts, although, of course, one has to be wary of Monaco's ability, and their top scorer Toure, even if there are deeper problems. Probably easier matches to get a handle on this Saturday. Prediction: Le Mans to avoid defeat, Sedan v Nantes (Sun): This is a very intriguing match. Sedan played well on Tuesday and got a good win over Niort away from home. How they react to that now is the key thing. Nantes are motoring under der Zakarian. They play good football, have a strong defensive unit, a vivacious midfield and two strikers in Gapke and Djordjevic who have scored regularly this season. Sedan have struggled in front of their own crowd this season, but there might be a different atmosphere with a win last time and the visit of a top team. As an underdog, they are perhaps a bit more dangerous than when a favourite. I do like FCNA a lot, but I'd probably leave them alone in this one. Prediction: Another toughie; Nantes to avoid defeat Good luck whatever you play, and a merry Christmas when it arrives :ok
Unbelivable mate! Apsolutley unbelivable! Thank you, please keep up. Ivan.
  2. Re: Sunderland v QPR > 24 March I should agree with next match psychology, and priorities for the club. But I also must add, I play football twice a week one hour strait, and I don't think in that point do I have to work tomorrow, am I going later in pub, or I nave to see with my girlfriend and have to do some more exercise. I only care in that point to win that game no matter what. :) We are men, we don't like to lose :)

  3. Re: England > Barclays Premier League > 2-4 January Some statistical data catch my eye today in Blackburn - Stoke game Blackburn failed to score only with highly defensive Chelsea, but with in form Yakubu I think Stoke will not manage to keep clean sheet today. I think Over 2.5 @ 1.70 Local have fine value :hope Stoke away 4/5 overs Bolton Wanderers 5 - 0 Stoke City Everton 0 - 1 Stoke City Beşiktaş 3 - 1 Stoke City Wolverhampton 1 - 2 Stoke City Manchester City 3 - 0 Stoke City Stoke last5 4/5 overs Beşiktaş 3 - 1 Stoke City Wolverhampton 1 - 2 Stoke City Manchester City 3 - 0 Stoke City Stoke City 0 - 0 Aston Villa Stoke City 2 - 2 Wigan Athletic Blackburn home 4/5 overs Blackburn Rovers E4 - 3 Newcastle United Blackburn Rovers 0 - 1 Chelsea Blackburn Rovers 4 - 2 Swansea City Blackburn Rovers 1 - 2 West Bromwich Blackburn Rovers 1 - 2 Bolton Wanderers Blackburn last5 4/5 overs Sunderland 2 - 1 Blackburn Rovers Blackburn Rovers 1 - 2 West Bromwich Blackburn Rovers 1 - 2 Bolton Wanderers Liverpool 1 - 1 Blackburn Rovers Manchester United 2 - 3 Blackburn Rovers

  4. Re: ATP Monte Carlo 21st-27th April Hah, my favoite Djokovic bet! Djoko is showing some exelent tennis this year, but I must say that this is first clay tournatment and I don't like performance he is showing. Lets make it clear, he is playing great, but after watching all important games in his carrier, I am not quite sattisfied and think he can do a little more better. It is true that he rise his form from match to match and reach top form for semi and finals. On the other side, FedEx is having terrible season and he hired a coach because its not everything right with his play. Stuning comeback with Nalbandian but I think he will not have some chances with Djoko who mastered tactical match preparation and ofcourse Federrer is always great challange for every player and everyone have plus motivation against him. So, I will also go with Djokovic @ 1.70 but couse, this is two great players, so I will go only with 3/10, and save the rest of the stakes for the beer :) and have chilling saturday aftenoon GL Mates!

  5. Re: Euro 2008 Qualifiers Sat 17th Nov I have a few picks too First of all, must say that Over 2.5 in Portugal-Armenia game look like a clear pick for me. Odds are not great i think around 1.40. Armenia play very atractive and fast football, with two ultra fast wingers. They don't have nothing to lose, and belive that they will play open game. Portugal speak for him self, and will score few against poor Armenia defence. 8/10 Belgium can be stuner for Poland, who is in must win situation. Probably the youngest team in competition, with no pressure and relaxing saturday night game. Poland WILL start cautious, so I think that Draw is quite possible on Half-time. Pressure is on Poland and I think they will slip. I will Lay Poland for small stakes 2/10 And about Israel-Russia game. I read in some newspapers that English economists calculate that if England don't go on Euro, England will suffer 1.7 Billion loss. Izraelian players will surely have great, great bonuses from England (Which IS legal), and that says all about motivation. And also, some russian maybe find out that he need extra cash, and that is quite possible with russian mentality (mine is similar). I will Lay Russia GL! Ivan

  6. Re: Uefa Cup Thur 25th October Also have to agree about Bayern trip to Belgrade. Red Star with full squad fit for tonight (probably) match of the year. Motivation are very high and expetations are not so high, which in this case can be only advantage, couse nobody will tell them nothing if they lose, so they will be no kind of pressure. Atmosphere will be fantasic (I will take care for that myself :) ). Excluding Zvezda preformances against Levadia Talin and Groclin, the game with Glasgow Rangers was qutie even 1:0 in Glasgow with late 90' goal, and 0:0 in Belgrade. Also very important traditional derby against Partizan Belgrade, who end up 2:2, where Crvena Zvezda lead twice and be better team overall, and Partizan have very strong squad this year. Just wanna tell that Zvezda play better this important matches and with Bayern misses, who know, maybe we win, and that will be draw :) Ofcourse, from me small punt on [email protected] :hope Now I go to prepare for the game :beer Also I'm qurious about Sparta P. anybody any info.

  7. Re: Uefa Cup, second qualifying round draw

Zrinjski Mostar is probably the worst football team that i have ever watched, and i have watched too many lousy teams in serbian league , national cup, and in qualifications for Uefa Cup. My team played against them in previous round, and humiliated them with 6:1 win on their ground. In Belgrade result was just 5:0. Thanks to Uefa and Partizan hooligans, we`re kicked from europe this season. And now, those amateurs from Zrinjski are going to next round, which is disgrace for football that team that managed to concede 11 in just two games, progress. Anyhow, Zrinjski is playing Rabotnicki in Skoplje tonight. And for me bet on hosts is a must. Odds are not great, around 1.5-1.55 at my local bookies, but IMO, it`s safe as bet can be... A team that consists of me and my drunken friends would beat Zrinjski. Pick : Rabotnicki to win @ 1.5 confidence 10/10, going big smiley.gif GL! You stole my post compleatly. A agree that Rabotnicki will be enough for extremly poor Zrinjski Rabotnicki to win @1.55 7/10
  8. Re: Tennis - 5th-12th Djokovic - Nadal, Back Djokovic @2.20 Betfair 6/10 I see 3 Novak and 2 Rafas match on this turnament. Djokovic played with Kifer, Nalbandian and with Andy Rodick yesterday. In all those maches, Djokovic show exelent tactical play and especially what I liked the most, are services. Djokovic use 3 or 4 different type of services (I like the most his kick servis) and opponent never know whats coming. That why he had two times more aces than Rodick, who is well known by his service. And in the end claim easy 2-0 win. Against Nalbandian, in the first set, he has 100% pts from first and 100% pts on second services He won all points on his serve :loon. And more, he make many less unforced errors than before. On the other sid Rapha Nadal, lost first game in his last two maches with Dancevic and P.H. Mathieu and manage to come back from behind and win 2-1 at the end. This is not ofcourse clay, but this surface is not too much faster than clay, so Rapha is doing well but not as he can. Djokovic is in exelent form, and playing on his favorite surface where he beat Nadal early this year. I think that odds are set wrong, at least they should be even. Anyway, there is value on Djokovic. GL!:hope

  9. Re: CL 2nd qual rd - return leg (7 - 8/8) Tallinna FC Levadia v Crvena Zvezda Belgrade Everybody here already speak of upcoming Zvezda - Rangers game, but still... Zvezda was very ambicious this season, with many international singings, but yet they didn't show nothing special in first leg of those two teams. Zvezda was dominant team all 90 minutes but without final pass and idea in finishes. Lack of teamplay was also a problem. At the end of the game, Levadia coach said that he is satisfied with result, "We played bunker all the time, and we are happy to concide only one goal". But here in Talin, on stadium capacity of 4000 spectators, Levadia will be the team who will need to score. In Zvezda are saying that they will play on counter-attacks, and they will surley have more space up in front, and convinced in victory. Zvezda will played once again in 4-5-1 formation with two DMF (defensive midfielder), and it will be very hard for Levadia to score. In first game, was clearly seen difference in quality of these two team, although Zvezda played very bad. And that's why I think that this odd are gift and Zvezda will win this game 2:0 in second half. Pick 1: Crvena Zvezda Belgrade @1.70 Bet365 Pick 2: Draw/Zvezda @ 4.50 CS Prediction: 0:2, 0:1 GL:hope

  10. Re: CL qual - 1st leg (Tue 31/7 - Wed 1/8) Crvena Zvezda Belgrade - Levadia Talin Ok, as I said yesterday, I think there is a huge value on Under here, althought the prices are droped. Zvezda's coach Djurovski said that we don't wanna let some surprise to happen, and that he belive in certain victory. That surprise probably mean away goal for Levadia. Also Levadia's second coach Igor Prins said that they expect not to concide goal early in the game and that he expect good result for his team and that second leg in Talin decide who will go through. Zvezda summer singing CF Franclin Salas will not play cause of injury. So Zvezda is expected to start with one CF Barkos and Koroman as AMF with offensive tasks. Pitch conditions are awful, some Zvezda's players said that they never seen that bad pitch on Marakana. In Belgrade was very warm few days ago (about 43C) and after that, heavy rain fall and made $*#&. You can see picture here http://www.b92.net/sport/fudbal/vesti.php?yyyy=2007&mm=07&dd=31&nav_id=257477 And last. Yesterday maches. Except Sarajevo 86' winner, all games were Under 2.5 So, all in all, I will said again this is a good value bet (cause it can happen that Crvena Zvezda trash estonians), so not too much stakes. Pick: Under 2.5 2.35@Expekt 4/10 GL and Cheers mates

  11. Re: CL qual - 1st leg (Tue 31/7 - Wed 1/8)

thinking about Crvena zvezda handy -1 or -1.5, Levadia are too poor to beat or draw with Crvena and theyr fans there ... i think they will deffinetly win here at home easily! Second FC Kobenhavn to beat Beitar! any thoughts?
I will write tomorow my complete opinion, but on a first sight, that is definitlly Under 2.5, I find it in my local 2.40 and 2.35 @ Expect. Fantastic value. Pitch is in bad condition, Levadia is known as good defending team and Crvena Zvezda will surley go to not concide goal at home. Not to mention that Zvezda have many new players and team is a bit different then last season. Pre-season games was nothing special. 1:0, 2:0 is my CS prediction, but... more info tomorow morning ;)
