Not bad Waggy most of us do not end the year in profit, the challenge for you will try to get up to £4k profit again :hope

    Happy New Year

I make it that waggy lost over £1200 this year, on this thread, so unless you know something we don’t, they didn’t end the year in profit?!

With nothing worth betting on today below is the two year stats.

    Bets in two years 1758

Profit in two years £612.54    Average profit per year £306.27    Average profit per bet 35p

Average bets per week 17     Average bets per day 2.42

All in all not very impressive figures. But on the bright side it has paid one third of my Electric/gas bills. Also if I had put the £2020 in the bank I would not have received interest of over £600.

Lets hope 2021 is a more profitable year and more importantly that the virus gets under control.

Happy New Year to all on Punters Lounge and take care and keep well.

As someone mentioned previously..... these updates and analyses are irrelevant, as your balance fluctuates so much. They would only be relevant if your balance was going consistently and steadily in either direction.

Also, I’m not sure that it’s at all accurate to say that this thread has ‘paid one third of my Electric/gas bills.’ That would only be the case if you walked away now, £600-odd in profit. However, the thread is still in progress, and that amount (plus the £2000-odd you started with) will presumably end up with the bookies in the long run, so I don’t see how you can claim it has paid for anything.

The money can’t be in two places at once. Either it paid your utilities bills, or it’s part of your bankroll for this thread.

Just one of those days in the Championship, so unpredictable!

It’s not a division to be betting on - as waggy has been warned before - but waggy thinks they know best, as usual.

  4. Before we even get to Adrian Lewis’ performance there (what a difference a decade makes)........

Professional players who don’t count correctly, or don’t play the percentages correctly, DRIVE ME UP THE WALL. It shouldn’t even be a decision. They should know, and go for, the correct percentage shot in any given situation.

Lewis got too caught up in wanting to act like ‘Billy Big B*ll*cks’ and match his opponent’s 170 checkout, when all day long he should have been planting a dart in 10 or 18, and coming back to three clear darts at a double. I hate all this nonsense that some of the commentators come out with ‘if the checkout is there, go for it,’ or ‘go for it to get some kind of psychological edge,’ or ‘go for it to spark your performance into life.’ None of those statements or reasons justify taking on unnecessary bull finishes.

Lewis has potentially cost himself the match by throwing at an unnecessary bull finish. I can’t believe the number of players we see do this. They must realise how small the margins between success and failure are. Every little percentage advantage is vital. I can’t believe how often they let their egos come before common sense and correct decision making. So unprofessional.

  5. Hi Fader.

What do you make of Matthew Edgar’s chances today? He certainly talks his own abilities up a lot on his YouTube channel, but I don’t think that he’s nearly as good a player as he thinks he is!

The bookies have it as a 50/50 match. I’d quite like to oppose Edgar, but I don’t know much about his opponent. Any thoughts as to how that match will go?
