I’m new here and have a brief question. I’m not a big gambler and rarely go to the bookies, but did yesterday.
I put a bet on a horse a few minutes before the race started. The price when I was filling out the slip was 9/2. I filled out the time, course, horses name and odds at 9/2. The bookie (Paddy Power) took the bet and gave me a copy of the slip.
I left the shop to get some lunch and when I returned was pleased to see the horse had won. I went to collect and was told how much I could collect. I queried it as it seemed lower than I expected. The lady said the horse won at 4/1.
I took back the slip and said I would query it with management as she was being quite rude and aggressive and saying that I have to accept 4/1 because at the time I placed the bet that was what they were offering. She refused to accept any fault for her colleague not correcting the odds.

Hello!

Whats the position? Any advice, please?
Cheers!!
Andrew.
