Canberra win by 1-12 margin @ 3.00 centrebet Canberra at home are very hard to beat and with a very good forward pack, and Campese dictating the game behind them, they will be hard to hold out. They have won their last 6 games, and 9 of their last 10 games, and with West coming off a mentally and physically exhausting game against the Roosters last week, do not think they can hold out the Green Machine here However the Tigers will not lie down as they have won the last 4 matchups against Canberra, and still have some class in their team. The forwards match up well and Marshall too can shine on his day, just like Campese can. Besides we need payback for the grand final loss all those years ago. The Roosters have the wind in their backs while the panthers are starting doubt their ability even though they were significantly a more superior team during the regular season. having to play the semi away against a team you were better than during the regular season must bite and with the injuries in mind I believe the team with better belief are the roosters. Normally I wouldn’t touch a team as erratic as the Roosters but I think like Leeds in Super League they take massive momentum and unless Panthers inspirational captain Petero Civoniceva who returns from suspension performs miracles. On the plus side the Panthers have won three of their past four games at the SFS but that’s where it ends. Though Civoniceva comes back, the Panthers were relying on these two big blokes to get them good field position to lauch their kicks. Without them, they will be then relying on Roosters to make mistakes as they do not have the players to create something out of nothing. Jennings may be able to do something, if he gets the ball, which he rarely does, but Kenny-Dowall is a very good defensive player who should be able to contain him. The Roosters have the forwards to match it with the Panthers but also have a significant edge in the halves and like Carney and Pearce to find the gaps as the Panthers forwards start to tire. Kenny-Dowall is also playign pretty well with the ball in his hands and his confidence is high. The Roosters are playing on their home turf where they have won 9 of their last 10 semi final games while Panthers have not won a semi final in 6 years.
