Re: UEFA > Champions League > 24th - 25th August Ajax @1.8 bet365 Early bet for me as i'm sure odds will drop very soon for Ajax.I think they will be around @1.6 before KO.Ajax was unlucky not to win in Kiev.Suarez could be a hero but Dynamo's new keeper Koval was spot on in first leg.I see Ajax dominating match and pressing Dynamo from the start.I don't like all this sh*t around Surkis and Dynamo now.All this "Dynamo" project is all about money in firts place. It's a money making machine.Money firts then football.I know that many clubs are like that but i think Ajax is more genuine then Dynamo.Ajax is hungry for CL,they didn't play there for 4 years and i just don't see them failing this season.Gazaev has changed his tactics in first leg and failed, what's he is going to do i don't know but IMO Ajax will be his last destanation in CL. Not a chance in the world that Ajax will be around 1.6 mate. My guess is that they will go closer to evens on betfair, but thats just my opinion. ;) My instict tells me the overs is the way to go in this match, and i'll look into it more tommorrow and probably put a few early bets in hoping to get matched at a decent price.

Ajax won 3-0 today.they have been pressing alot but also made awful mistakes in defence.Ajax was around @1.6 or @1.7 against PAOK at home if i remember well. And as said before at the moment i rate PAOK more then Kiev.Simply becasue Kiev become frustrated over CL money-they need it,they know they won't get it this season but they make look that everything is ok.I don't think so.Only my personal opinion anyway ;) Magrao is out for Dynamo for few weeks,Garmash suspended.Tomorrow Dynamo will have tough match against Dnipro and they will be lucky not to get any injury. About overs...first leg ended 1-1.Could be any result.Don't see Dynamo scoring alot. They don't play well away.Yarmolenko is too young for this level and Sheva is too old.Milevsky is a clown - so i don't see many goals from Dynamo. If Gazaev will play Koval in goal again they i also don't see Ajax scoring alot.Koval is a good keeper.Basicly it can go any way. Still i think Ajax should prevail at home.Hope money chasing game for Dynamo will end up here.Placed my bet already so can't argue really. If price will go up for Ajax i bet some more :tongue2 If things will go ugly i can always lay them in play.. Good luck with your bets.:ok

Re: UEFA > Champions League > 24th - 25th August So...Dynamo just drew against Dnipro. 0-0 FT Team that played tonight: Koval,Silva,Hacheridi,Myhalik,Popov,Vukoevich,Eremenko,Gusev,Sheva,Yarmolenko,Andre Dynamo's subs in play: Ninkovych,Gillerme. Dynamo could win it in injury time, also sheva hit the bar from free kick on 95'th minute.Dynamo had few chances but they just didn't have that final touch. So almost full squad played today.Ajax will have much better morale at home and after 3-0 victory.Suarez starts scoring but defence is still weak.

Re: UEFA > Champions League > 24th - 25th August I dont touch Ajax with those odds. I see value on Auxerre and Basel. Basel defeat Debrecen last round in both matches. Debrecen is better team than Sheriff. Basel have a chance to score goals when Sheriff plays an open football. Away win @ 2.55 Zenith is not doing great on away matches and also they only scored 1 goal at home against Auxerre. Zenit could not beat 10 men Urziceni on away match. Urziceni is at the bottom of their league and did not get a win there. French teams are always strong and very dangerous at home. I can see a French victory here but can Auxerre pass, dont know. Home Win @ 2.40 GL all

Basel could only win 1-0 at home.Sheriff is hard to beat-ask Dynamo Zagreb :).Basel is not doing well in domestic league. So i see under 2.5 goals here as Basel won't risk probably. Zenit still class above Auxerre and only need a draw here. They have few players that just need more time to settle down.I would go for a draw on unders.Zenit don't like to concede much and Auxerre just simply don't have world class strikers to open Zenit's defence. Re: UEFA > Champions League > 24th - 25th August Anderlecht versus Partizan Partizan sold some important players in this transfer window: -> regular centre back Kneżevic -> extremely important left fullback Lomic who was useful in attack (3 goals & 12 assists in 25 games!!) -> first goalkeeper Bozovic -> one of two best strikers Lamine Diarra (14 goals & 8 assists) -> forward who was used in rotation system - Brana Ilic (not so important, but when Diarra left the team Ilic would be very useful) They did not buy any special player. They have money from players who were sold (over 4 millions euro), but did not spend that money at all. On the other hand Anderlecht bought only 22 years old forward centre Chavarria, but almost all important players stay at the club. The only important player who left team is left fullback Jelle van Damme.

Are you jokeing? Partizan has bought loads of players. Stefan Babovic (Nantes) Milan Smiljanic (Espanyol) Ivica Illiev (Maccabi Tel Aviv) Kizito (Vojvodina) 2nd best left defender in the Serbian league, Lomic was voted best. Sasa Ilic (Red Bull Salzburg) Ivan Stevanovic (Sochaux) on loan. Many of the above named players are old Partizan players and knows the club. A lot of them are bought for the starting line-up, whereas some are squad rotation players. I wouldn´t touch Anderlecht at those odds, Partizan has huge potential and could upset Anderlecht even in Brussels.

Re: UEFA > Champions League > 24th - 25th August I think Sampdoria represent some good value at 2.2. They were unbeaten at home all last season and they go into the return leg with a bit of hope after their away goal in the 3-1 loss to Werder Bremen. Werder got beaten 4-1 at the weekend and go into the game without their first choice striker (and back up striker) and centre back. With their lead, they go into the game knowing a draw or narrow defeat will get them through where as Sampdoria know they must win the match. I think odds should be closer to 1.9 and would expect them to get nearer to that level by the time the game starts tomorrow evening.

Re: UEFA > Champions League > 24th - 25th August

Event Anderlecht - Partizan
Selection Anderlecht
Strength 10/10
Date 24/08/2010
Bookmaker/Price Boylesports @ 1.62
Reasoning Anderlecht is very close to get a place on Champions League groups, which would be the first presence since 2006/07. And Anderlecht knows how important it can be. Last Saturday, Anderlecht showed they are well, defeating KSC Lokeren OV by 3-0, despite having saved some players. Anderlecht can also count with a strong support of their fans. Champions League is motivating to every players and every fans. Anderlecht is on advantage after scoring two goals away, and they will play on counter attack, like they like, playing with the fear of their opponents.

Re: UEFA > Champions League > 24th - 25th August I believe in Spurs as a fan, but as a bettor I can't trust them at those odds. They are out of form, so key players are not fully fit and what is even worse goalie Gomes was pathetic against Stoke. In last season he managed to not be a clown during the corners and free kicks, but against Stoke he was hopeless:wall. If he keep this crappy performance YBB could score after each corner kick...

Re: UEFA > Champions League > 24th - 25th August Sampdoria to Beat Werder Bremen 6/5 (Various) I think this is a cracking bet for tomorrow night, Sampdoria will go into this game knowing that they got very lucky at the Weserstadion last Wednesday but Pazzini's goal has changed the attitude for Sampdoria in this match. Sampdoria were unbeaten all season at home last season and didn't concede many goals either, If Sampdoria can get Cassano into the game then Bremen will find it differcult to control all his movements in and around the box. Bremen will go into this match after a horrible 4-1 defeat at the weekend against Hoffenheim and I believe with a passionate crowd behind them that Sampdoria can at least get the victory they badly need, I'll also have small stakes on Sampdoria -1 for fun and both teams to score. Could be a very open match tomorrow but I'm confident that Sampdoria can get the job done. Sevilla to beat Braga -1 Evens (PaddyPower) Sevilla come into this game after being taught a lesson at the Nou Camp last Saturday in which Messi was in cracking form, Fortunately for Sevilla they won't be playing against such type of team against Braga who could be on the verge of history If they get past Sevilla. I watched Braga against Celtic at Celtic Park and even though they took the lead in that Match they weren't very impressive and their away from dipped quiet a bit in the last half of the Portugal Superliga. It's Braga home form that worried me last week against Sevilla but their away from really does suggest that If Sevilla control this game early then Sevilla win this comfortably. The safe option would be to back Sevilla to win but the -1 Handicap looks well tasty If Sevilla can get an attacking approach going! Good Luck Everyone...Keep the tips coming in! :cheers

One can hardly rate any team's form, after 2 games only in EPL. And both games were positive to Spurs IMO. In Bern Spurs also showed some ''teeth'' later in the game. The frendlies before the season showed some ups and downs, yet HR has a good list to choose from. Gomes could be shaky sometimes, but ( again IMO ) one of the reasons Spurs are here was his excellent play in the final games in EPL last season.

Re: UEFA > Champions League > 24th - 25th August Very good price on Sevilla vs Braga. Home to win with asian handicap -1.5 @ 2.05 Bet365 Excelent price, Sevilla too strong at home for teams like Real Madrid. People really put pressure on the rival in the stadium and tomorrow the stadium will be full of people. Sevilla much better team than Braga so in my opinion Sevilla to win by 2 or more goals easily. Re: UEFA > Champions League > 24th - 25th August Hapoel vs Salzburg uefa.com: Hapoel Tel-Aviv FC hold a 3-2 lead against FC Salzburg after the away leg of their UEFA Champions League play-off, yet the Israeli side's preparations have been dominated by the state of Etay Shechter's hamstring. The 23-year-old scored 22 league goals last season and was on target again in last week's opener in Austria, but an injury in Saturday's 1-0 defeat by Hapoel Haifa FC leaves Eli Gutman sweating on the striker's fitness. "We are praying Etay recovers and have every faith in our medical staff," said the Tel-Aviv coach. "He has a 50-50 chance of making it and he has assured me he will do everything he can to be fit. He is a major asset to our team, but we will have to be able to adjust should he fail to recover in time." Midfielder Yossi Shivhon definitely misses out after his booking last week, although Gal Shish is available again after his own one-match ban and Gutman is confident his team will still have enough to reach the group stage for the first time. "We are proud to be playing in these play-offs, as I said before the first leg, but we're far from settling with this," he said. "Our approach is to start this game as a completely new match regardless of the result in the first leg. We will require 100% discipline and concentration, as well as all our players' personal ability, to be able to succeed." Salzburg also have selection problems, with defender Franz Schiemer and winger Jakob Jantscher both banned after the first leg, yet the latter is still optimistic his team-mates can turn round the tie in his absence. "None of us are thinking about the Europa League yet," he said. "We will try everything to capitalise on this chance and to achieve something great. I am sure that we still have that chance." Striker Roman Wallner, whose second-half penalty last week gave Salzburg hope, was more bullish, saying: "We believe in ourselves and the possibility for a sensation. We have to stay calm, wait for our chance and seize it." A year ago, Salzburg went down 3-0 to another Israeli side, Maccabi Haifa FC, having lost the first leg of their play-off tie 2-1 at home, although Huub Stevens does not expect a repeat performance. "If we had no belief in our chances, we would not have flown to Tel Aviv," said the Dutch coach, who welcomes back summer signing David Mendes da Silva and whose team's scheduled weekend fixture against SK Sturm Graz was postponed. "The task is of course very difficult, but it is still very possible. We have a 30% chance and we want to use it." Any evaluation of the absences of both teams?

Basel could only win 1-0 at home.Sheriff is hard to beat-ask Dynamo Zagreb :).Basel is not doing well in domestic league. So i see under 2.5 goals here as Basel won't risk probably.
Question is: Can we trust Basel? First game was quite even, but despite being an even game would be 2-0 ft, end of story, if Sheriff's GK had not saved a penalty in final minute. But this is football and 1-0 is beatable. Basel seems to be having a rough time domestically, but have a yearly presence in good european competitions. So, expectation is they will defend their lead and look for counters. So, another question: How good are they at defending? Sheriff on their part is a mystery. Will they open up the game or they will try to cautiously avoid conceding and get one in and take it from there? A cautious play from Sheriff would make prices on unders worthwhile, but all that "nothing to lose" attitude might mean they are ready for a classic 2nd leg open game, a game Basel imo could be very fond of. Basel's prices are dropping, mostly due to Sheriff's absences, but I can't really trust them, as this could be very tight. We have to get our hands to more information. And some answers to the questions above.

Re: UEFA > Champions League > 24th - 25th August I have a feeling we may witness some surprises tonight and one of them could be coming from Sevilla. I suspect they have serious financial issues, because the club just keeps selling players, instead of improving the squad. As one of the counter measures, I noticed they adopted the in-loan strategy which was the case with Stankevicius last season and now with Luca Cigarini. I think these problems have affected the overall team’s performance starting with the second part of last season. The club chose then to replace the coach, brought in an inexperienced one from inside the club and the results of course didn’t improve much, except maybe the Copa Del Rey final win. From my point of view, there is a huge pressure these days at Sevilla for reaching the CHL groups, in order to solve some of their financial worries, because otherwise the club must sell other players with Fabiano on top of the list. These problems actually might work in Braga’s favor, a team in a total different mood and position. This is the chance of their lives and although the pressure is on their shoulders too, it is a positive one comparing to the atmosphere around the Spanish camp.

I don’t say Braga won’t lose tonight, but they might just secure a result which will enable them to qualify.

Please excuse my ignorance if the above mentioned assumptions are not right and you have other info to oppose.

Still, there is one thing which bothers me a little. At first sight, it seems Sampdoria has a better position than Braga. They are a force on their home ground, Werder has some important players missing and also the well-known defensive issues. With all of these, the Italians are priced at around 4.30 to qualify. Regarding Braga, the Asian line is set at 1.25 which makes Sevilla the overwhelming favorite, but still the Portuguese are at only 2.25 to qualify. This low price is preventing me from jumping into Braga’s boat.

Good luck whatever you choose. :ok

I am leaning towards Hapoel because Salzburg needs to attack and it's suitable for Hapoel who is great on counter attacking and they will go into this game with full optimism while Salzburg feels like the bad to worse team. Hapoel did beat Rapid Vienna last year 5-1 at home and this should not be so different so I think Hapoel will take this 3-1. They where better then Vienna and Salzburg is not so mutch better. I think Hapoel is the better team and have a lot more desire to get to CL. Macabi Haifa was the other israeli team in CL last year and they came second in their league after Hapoel only on goaldifference. Hapoel don't need to win this game but this is still leaning towards a convincing win for them. -1.0 Hapoel Tel Aviv 2.675 bet365 for me..

Re: UEFA > Champions League > 24th - 25th August SEVILLA V.S. BRAGA - (AH) SEVILLA -1.25 @ 1.86 ladbrokes See, now Sevilla needs at least a 2 goals cushion, without conceding, to even qualify. If that isn't an equation for a 2-0 or 3-0 scoreline, i dont know what is ;) Very honestly, Sevilla is a force to reckon with at their home ground. They did beat barcelona 3-1 at home a few weeks back. I know some of you guys probably say, "againstallodds, that wasn't Barcelona's first team!" Well, that can be a valid reasoning but, Barcelona has such a great team depth, it doesn't actually matter whether they are playing team A or team B. Messi was there, Ibramovic was there, Dani Alves was there. Just admit it, Sevilla is scary at home. Braga? If my memory serves me well, Sevilla should have been 1 up in first half if not for the post. So yeah, go for -1.25 tonight because a Category Luis Fabiano storm is coming tonight boys!:lol

Re: UEFA > Champions League > 24th - 25th August Anderlecht - Partizan Both to score @ 1.86 Stan James I expect here something similar to second half in Belgrade but from the first minute. Both teams are shaky at the back and can't rely on their defense. Partizan will surely go for the goal since kickoff so this should be another goal fest. Hapoel - Salzburg Hapoel @ 2.00 Ladbrokes Hosts should take advantage of the fact that it's 3-2 for them and that RBS has to risk more now. Hapoel has very dangerous counter attack and pacey players up front and overall i see them as the better team. Hapoel should win the second leg too, and odds shouldn't be higher than 1.85 IMHO. GL.

Re: UEFA > Champions League > 24th - 25th August UEFA Competitions 2010-2011 5-4-1 +0.59 units (55.55%) Sampdoria +114 to bet 1 unit Where Sampdoria lacks on the road, they make up at home, very rarely losing. Werder gave up a crucial goal in the first game that gave Sampdoria some hope. Bremen also isn't great on the road and they are lacking in defense it seems giving up 4 to Hoffenheim this weekend. I think Sampdoria has a pretty good shot at advancing to the group stage. Sporting Braga +1.5 (-129) to win 1 unit Will take a shot with this one. I think Sevilla probably wins, but just by 1. Who knows, with Fabiano possibly out the door. Squillaci being gone won't help them much either. I think Braga will also probably sit back the whole game considering there advantage, especially if Sevilla scores one.

Re: UEFA > Champions League > 24th - 25th August i see a few punters are tipping Sevilla to cover the 1.25 handicap but I'm just not so sure. it was a 2nd leg at home that saw them lose and get eliminated in last year's CL knockout stage vs another seemingly "inferior" opponent. That result in itself is enough to make me weary, as Sevilla was on the verge of doing something important/historic for the club and with they're best squad were knocked out by the Russians. Now another 2nd leg at home, and more pressure. This Braga squad may be the most equipped to travel and protect a 1-0 lead of any of the teams in this round. They narrowly lost out to benfica in last year's portguese title but it was a race to the very end, and Benfica's offensive firepower is what had them successful all year, in contrast it was Braga's defense and counter ability that had them a close second. So I'll take Braga +1.5 1.75 at bet365. If seville do find themselves up 1-0 in the later stages, I could see them being more focused on keeping it tight and winning in ET than to risk a quick counter from braga. gl

Re: UEFA > Champions League > 24th - 25th August whats the story with the tottenham team news and probable line up people? You'd have to think if at least some of the 75 injured players have recovered they'd be morals to take care of a swiss team at the lane with 2 away goals in the pocket... :dude

Re: UEFA > Champions League > 24th - 25th August

I have a feeling we may witness some surprises tonight and one of them could be coming from Sevilla. I suspect they have serious financial issues' date=' [/quote'] Playing CL gives you lots of money, thats why they have to win this match yes or yes. Remember they won FC Barcelona last week for 3-1 at home. Anyway, GL eveyone, my bets are done so i'm in now, no option of going back. :ok

Re: UEFA > Champions League > 24th - 25th August

Odds are ridiculous, true, but I disagree with your post.
I don't saying that the Tonttenham's highest level of ability is what they playing at the moment, but the true is that they played really bad against Stoke and YBB, against Man City they were nothing special, in friendlies they also were not so good, heavy lost like against Villarreal. Still Tottenham should win this one, because they waited for CL so long, have home stadium and better squad, but odds are too short. I still remember that when Everton was 4th in Premier League they also failed to qualified to CL group stage...
