possible under tennisexpert but let me warn you a bit about this game. varteks,they are not called that any more, now NK Varazdin. the big sponsor Varteks left the club. they are in big big big problems. the players didn't recive their salary for a long time (maybe this whole year, not playing season but whole calendar year), the club has no money, they where blocked this week and nobody knew if the game will be played. last season some players from varazdin where under investigation about fixed games, and one player said then : "what do you think we should do, we have family, kids, wifes, and the club doesn't give us any money. we had to do something. so in this game everything is possible. i don't know what kind of team will varazdin send on the pitch so this is a no bet game for me. maybe they will fix this game again with HT/FT 2/1 odds over 25 and then it has to be over wouldn't be the first time, not between them but in the league. and i think the odds on HW are better @2,10 in my local. usually the home team wins when this two clubs meet! Croatia 17th round, 26.11. Slaven - Inter(+0,5) 16:00 CET Another value on guests. Slaven is again favourite but at 1.70 against good Inter lately is funny. My price for home team is 2.00 min so I see Inter worth taking. Both teams are showing good performances lately. I expect Inter to sit back and wait for counter attacks and Slaven had cup match in midweek so I do not expect them to be so agressive so we could easilly see very few goals here. Todorčev and Matko are out for guests and Papa, Rogulj and Bušić for Slaven. I will back Inter and under here as I see odds very temptating. Smaller stakes cause of my form. Zagreb is a favourite here but not at this hcap. I expected Zagreb at max -0,5 and with their current form and problems with injuries that would also be risky. Zagreb is not in form and although most of injured or suspended players are back for this game it will still not solve all of their problems. Istra also played cup game in midweek but Istra is rising lately and this is one of away games that they are certanly able to grab at least a point. Zgreb plays at home and is a favourite but Istra is in better form and has very few problems with absent players so I will back guests at this hcap. Re: Croatia 17th round, 26.11. Cibalia - Šibenik 16:00 CET Although Cibalia is strong and tough home team I beleive we could see nice match here with lots of goals and I certanly like the odds. Both tems, although Šibenik has many problems with absent players for a long time, are playing good and nice. Cibalia will cetranly dominate at home but Šibenik, with all the problems, is playing open and creates chances. Cibalia is favourite but I do not like the fact they had cup match on 24th and two defeats in a row in the league. Anyway I expect open match where Cibalia will attack and Šibenik certanly has the talent and courage to responde back. Over is my choice at any odd over 1.90. Hopefully it will not be raining a lot. HNL Varazdin vs. Split 0:0 20/11/2010 1. HNL Split vs. Rijeka 2:3 13/11/2010 1. HNL Split vs. Dinamo 0:1 In Varazdin pitch was awful (frozen, snow, they probably should have postponed it, Split after all comes from warmer part of the country), Dinamo is a class team for the rest of the league, but loss against Rijeka was wierd. High scoring game (not usual for Split), returned for 2:2, and in last minutes Split defenders gave away a point. Entrance for the game is free, to try to draw a big crowd, and to finish the halfseason with a high note. Considering that both team play a similar style, physical football, with the main accent on defense, under is the most probable outcome. For missing players infos probably tomorrow during the day. Both teams have equal score for under/over = 12/5 during this season, last season Karlovac had 24 unders and 6 overs, and the coach is still the same with the similar style of football. i doubt that anyone will want to lose this one. Istra - Lokomotiva HW @ 2 (local) 6/10 Suprised by the odds. Expected something like 1.8 on Istra. Like predicted a month back, Istra pulled some nice performaces and wins during couple of last rounds, coach Vuli***263; again did a nice job with the team after rehiring. With the win here they would come couple of points near the relegation line before winter break, which is great considering the ever bad start. No major missing for Istra, will attack from the start against Lokomotiva (Dinamo youth squad + couple of veterans). Lokomotiva won last two rounds, but for me they seem on a downtrend of form, zagreb made chances but lokomotiva scored 2 times from a few chances they had, and last time @ Maksimir, Lokomotiva had a tough tima against the worst squad of the league Dragovoljac, which came not to defend, but to play football, Lokomotiva somehow eventually won 3:2. If Sehic, Alimi and the rest of Istra players can play decent like couple of last games, my opinion that they will win. Zadar - Slaven Belupo U2.5 @ 1.7 (local) 7/10 HW by 1 @ 3.4 (local) 2/10 Definite under for me. Slaven away to one of the toughest homesides. Zadar always was a fortress, small pitch, hard physical team, that most of the time by a one goal difference. Slaven is missing two strikers, Vojnovic and Mujanovic + Busic has an longterm injury, so they are practically without a weapon in front and will most probably concentrate on defence, just to finish the half season with a positive result. Zadar usually struggles against those kind of teams, cause they are similar, no real creativity, mostly goals from set pieces, penalty...

Although I think HW is certain, by which margin is a question, Dinamo is tired form trip to Spain, they will probably play just enough to outclass Varazdin and then wait the final whistle. Another reason Dinamo will probably remember summer draw in Varazdin (which they nearly lost with former coach and awful performance). So low/middle stakes for more goals cause it could easily be just 1:0. Not much to say about Dinamo, class above any team in croatian championship, long bench, a lot of (for croatian football standards) good foreign players, as their own school products. Varazdin has finally got rid of financial troubles (a credit from bank payed by the town of Varazdin and they sold best player Brezovec to Dinamo - joins Dinamo during the winter break). Dinamo had a touch matchup against Villarreal during the week, but seriously doubt that will effect them. They haven't conceded for a long time now and have the best defence line of the league. Possibly Brezovec pulls of one of his long range free kicks so Varazdin scores... but not very likely.

Sibenik after last great season, sold top scorer Zec, and once more became a mediocre team stumbling in the bottom of the league. I would probably draw a comparison them and Wigan in Premiership, you never know what to expet, they can win away with a big margin (another dalmatian derby with Zadar), or lose/draw home playing like mugs. Best player Alispahic returns after missing last round, also Husmani and Tokic. Hajduk has a similar story. During the week defeated by AEK 0:3 on home stadium, played very well first half, in the second classic show by their central defenders (again they tackle players in the area like idiots). Maloca is out for this game (guilty for the penaly against AEK), veteran Vejic is the most probable replacement, this i don't consider a weakness. Also Hajduk miss first goalkeeper Subasic, will be replaced by Radosevic. Most probably captain Andric is finally back and he will certainly give a boost in midfield with his attitude. A game for low stakes, mostly just to make it a bit more interesting (a hajduk fan myself). The pitch will probably be bad (rain has been falling for almost 10 days), and considering that Hajduk recent perfomances (especially against Istra was awful), unmotivated, without no real fire, mild, I doubt that will change this time. Sibenik will press them and they will play mostly in the midfield. Most probably underish game.

Hajduk just had match with AEK that lost, although played solid in first half and gennerally there is something wrong with Hajduk recently. It is not only form or injuries I would call it mental crisis. Lots of players are supposed to be sold and some to be bought. Anyway, despite all the problems, Hajduk will go for a win. In terms of quality they are able to do it but playing in Šibenik is not easy although history says that hajduk was ussually winner here. Maloča, Buljat and Subašić(gk) are out. Šibenik has some problems with injuries but also some players like Alispahić, Husmani and Tokić are back so that are good news. Although Šibenik doesn't have spectacular results I can see them playing nice recently and I beleive they are on good track. I expect both teams to play open football with lots of chances and with both teams having more fire upfront and leaky defences. Wheather is nice. Hajduk is favourite but this odds are funny so i find value at home side. Re: Croatian Prva HNL 2010/2011 All stakes low, as its the first round after winter break Slaven Belupo - Split Tough one. I rate these two quite similar, Slaven in a mild fall from recent seasons. Split got a huge addition in Krizanac, they we're a good defensive team, but this one level up. Delic left Slaven and was a major starter for most of recent seasons, also striker Tepuric left. Benko also returned to HNL and signed for Slaven, so he will be a nice attacking addition and replacement for Delic. Altogether, this one should go under, Split will try a defensive minded approach, probably with counter attacks. Slaven isn't some high scoring team, or now have some high profile attacking players so they'll struggle to crack Split's defense. X2 @ 1.8 (local) - stake 3.5/10 U2.5 @ 1.6 (local) - stake 3/10 Hajduk - Inter Zapresic Even being a Hajduk fan, this one at least for me doesn't look good. Key player Ibricic was transfered, left back Strinic also left. No high quality substitutions we're bought. Club will try to concentrate on their own youth (yea right, especially in croatian football with all mafia managers). Only two worth mentioning are striker Vukusic and left winger Sharbini. One is great potential, and has shown some nice game so far, Sharbini on the other hand is a on and off player. Like one nba commentator would say, body of a grown man, great talent, but mind of an amoeba. Inter - Palic was sold to Dinamo, so we will see how this is gonna affect them, possibly another Sivonjic/Dodo case. They will put up a struggle against Hajduk, which has a big problem to crack teams that come to split and park a bus infront their own goal. Especially now that Ibricic is gone. Re: Croatian Prva HNL 2010/2011 Low stakes as it's the first round after winter break. Cibalia - Zadar Weekend postponed match, snow is cleared, so game is on. Cibalia plays very well for last 2 seasons, same roster as first part season, no changes, probably will continue seriously like earlier this season. Played some nice football during first part of the season, effective upfront, and few goals conceded @ home. Zadar struggling as usual, also no major changes in team. They are a classic home side team, tough one to beat at their home ground, but poor and low scoring on road for years now. Some new young players in during the mid season (Zulim on loan from Hajduk, Maruna, Peraic and Gospic left). Considering the weather probably will be a low scoring game.
