Im looking forward to seeing Mille Chief out again. He was brought down at Market Rasen first time out when looking the likeliest winner but the form is looking strong. Bocamix (who brought down MC) has won at Wetherby impressively and Sergeant PInk who ended up winning the Market Rasen race has defied a penalty this afternoon.

Yeah, Mille Chief has been favourite or thereabouts for the Triumph for a few weeks now. A very interesting juvenile. :ok

Spunk 5/4 Evening Sunset 11/8 Freedom Fire 14/1 Troubletimestwo 16/1 Supernoverre 22/1 Foxtrot Charlie 33/1 Very hard race to way up. A few are encountering heavy ground for the first time and we have the French raider at the head of the market. Not sure how and why Dougie Costello is riding for Francois Doumen but the horse was deemed good enough to contest a G1 LTO. Dougie Costello will not want to produce Spunk too soon, his form in France suggests he is a hold up performer. One small bet due to the value the selection represents. Troubletimestwo 0.25pt EW 16/1 (Betfred) I toyed with the idea of EW w/o Evening Sunset at 8/1 with Paddy Power.

Although 6lb clear I doubt I'll be backing Screaming Brave. The ground is the big concern for me, that rating was achieved on much better ground than he will encounter tomorrow. Connections also by-passed a previous engagement due to soft going. He may have enough in hand to win still (especially considering NN's best form is also on better ground), but at the price I won't take a chance.

Although Bederra Boy and New Tricks are E/W prices there are a few unknowns to contend with. Racingisdreaming could be a decent recruit and it's hard to weigh up the Irish raider Descaro. No bet.

Albulharith was a the biggest mover (50+ => 88). The race of the week was Olofi's at Cheltenham. Proximities suggest he ran to his rating of 130. As touched upon above I'm not sure Ultimate is a true stayer, however he would still be capable of his high rating on a speed track. Rather than lower his rating I will add the x to his original high rating - something I perhaps should've done after his impressive FTO win. Pistolet Noir 140

It will be difficult to rate the Irish raiders but will do my best to give high-profile types a realisitic rating. :ok

I'm not keen to downgrade any juvenile due to jumping as it's something that can improve quickly, so for the time being at least he remains 119+, the rating he achieved FTO. Will confirm any bets when we see the prices.

Westlin' Winds 7/4 Peter Grimes 2/1 Anak 10/3 Diktalina 20/1 Flannel 25/1 Stellar Cause 40/1 The Saucy Snipe 100/1 As I said above not much between the three penalty horses, whoever improves must or jumps best will come out on top. I can see Anak drifting to around 4/1 and he'll be interesting at that price. Diktalina and Flannel are probably over priced but the 7 runners make E/W betting less attractive. A hot little race for the grade/course. No-bet is the sensible option.

Westlin' Winds imrpoved on his rating a few pounds. Anak improved slightly on his 119 (but needs further). Peter Grimes and Diktalina ran to their ratings. The 3rd and 4th are slightly flattered by their proximities to the 1-2 as the winner won with a bit in hand and the 2nd lost a few lengths at a couple of flights.

Singapore Reef and Mrs Slocombe's runs after certainly suggest so. I incorrectly believed he was slightly flattered - it was still a decent rating but perhaps 3/4lb too light. Bearing that in mind and the fact he has improved today I now have him at 129. Anak did improved on his 119 as his + suggested, he is now 123 but loses his +, although he will still improve further when upped in trip. Following suit Peter Grimes and Diktalina are upped a 1lb or two.
