Re: Alexmac's NH Thread 2009/10 Bet 62 - DUNGUIB - Fairyhouse - 12.45 Rising superstar Dunguib turns out again in Ireland today in this rescheduled meeting. He should win with ease, and the odds reflect this. He is a hugely exciting hurdler and he is going to keep on improving. Each time I have seen him he has won with tremendous ease, and the amateur jockey on board seems to get on very well with this future hurdling star. 2pts win

Re: Alexmac's NH Thread 2009/10 Bet 63 - PANDORAMA - Fairyhouse - 13.20 Pandorama was a star over hurdles last season, and always looked like a chaser in the making. His only defeat coming at the hands of Mikhael D'Haguenet, and we all know exactly what that horse is capable of. Pandorama made a winning chase debut last month, and that run will have him stripped him fit for this much more competitve race. At around about 3/1, he looks like an excellent bet and should take all the beating. 2pts win

Re: Alexmac's NH Thread 2009/10 Bet 64 - STORMY WEATHER - Catterick 13.45 Stormy Weather will love the cut in the ground he will come up against today. Last time out, on the flat at Doncaster he didn't travel at all, and finished well down the field. That run was out of charachter and he should get a far better ride today, when put back over obstacles. His last run over hurdles, at Aintree saw him finish a decent second, despite being sent off the odds on favourite. This looks like a weaker race, and he appears to be nicely handicapped here today. 2pts win

Re: Alexmac's NH Thread 2009/10 The Early prices from this morning got the 2 in the Carlisle race the wrong way round.... Turbo Island was sent off the 11/4 favourite, and Premier Sagas drifted to 5/1. Well, as the first post states, the BOG are to be taken for the thread, and Premier Sagas drifted to 5/1, thus allowing an E/W bet. Am chuffed to have had the 1-2 as both horses had been below par LTO. Dunguib has also just hacked up, giving another win for the thread, albeit at a very short price. Updated stats: Bets - 62 Wins - 31 Places - 8 Losses - 23 Bank - 226pts P/L - +26pts

Re: Alexmac's NH Thread 2009/10 Bets - 64 Wins - 32 Places - 8 Losses - 24 Bank - 231pts P/L - +31pts Pandorama won very well at Fairyhouse yesterday, really impressed with him, and he beat some decent animals along the way. There are 4 selections from my horses to follow running tomorrow, 2 at Exeter and 2 at Sandown. Will post up analysis later on.

Re: Alexmac's NH Thread 2009/10 Bet 65 – ROYAL CHARM – Exeter – 13.00 Royal Charm returns to the scene of his victory from last month, and will tackle similar conditions in a bid to follow up. He was a strong odds on favourite that day, and collected easily. Today however, he is up against some more challenging opponents, in particular, James De Vassey. Saying that, it does seem that there will be more to come from the Ditcheat runner, and he is taken to win again, on ground that he will find to his liking. 2pts win

Bet 66 – BENSALEM – Exeter – 13.35 Bensalem is a classy horse, he ran Diamond Harry to half a length when racing off level weights in January, and that sort of class should be enough to beat this field. Take The Breeze will be his biggest danger, but if Alan King’s inmate is anywhere near to the form of the Diamond harry run, then he should follow up last month’s win at Plumpton and score here. 2pts win

Bets 67 and 68 – MANYRIVERSTOCROSS and VINO GRIEGO – Sandown – 14.00 2 horses oppose each other here, at opposite ends of the betting. Manyriverstocross looked like a star in the making after his initial hurdles win at Chepstow. He was sent off favourite on that day, and won easily, beating a below par field. He struggled when upped in class at Ascot last time out however, but did seem to finish strongly, in 3rd position. He will need to have come on for that run today to beat Like Minded, but certainly has the talent to do so. Vino Griego opposed Manyriverstocross in the Ascot race, finishing 7th. That was his first run for quite some time however, and despite having a bit to find on that form, he could well have come on for the run and run into a place a nice looking odds. Manyriverstocross – 2pts win Vino Griego – 1pt E/W

Re: Alexmac's NH Thread 2009/10 Royal Charm wins after drifting to 9/2, a nice price. Bensalem is a slightly disappointing 2nd when odds on favourite. Manyriverstocross bounces back with a win, at 3/1, and Vino Griego ran a good race, being backed into 7/1 and finishing 3rd, unfrtunately, 1 place out of an E/W payout. Bets - 68 Wins - 34 Places - 8 Losses - 26 Bank - 242pts P/L - +42pts Gaining a bit of momentum now. A further 3 runners are due to run tomorrow at Sandown, should the meeting go ahead.

Re: Alexmac's NH Thread 2009/10 Bet 69 - SOMERSBY - Sandown - 13.55 Somersby won his first outing of the year well, when dishing out a 14 length beating to Kanad last month at Warwick. That was an impressive display by Henrietta Knight's gelding, but cam on ground a little better than he will encounter tomorrow. This is a slight cause for concern, and with the classy Crack Away Jack in the line up, he faces a big ask, but class can prevail, and he certainly stands a good chance. 2pts win

Re: Alexmac's NH Thread 2009/10 Bet 70 - BIG ZEB - Sandown 14.25 I really like this horse, and he stands a good chance of landing a big prize here tomorrow. A small, but select field line up for the Tingle Creek chase, and Big Zeb can take the absence of Master Minded in his stride a bag this. He showed that he can win with ease in his latest outing Navan. He beat Made in Taipan, and was not really asked many questions that day, but that race will have got him bang in form for this. The ground should not be an issue, and a big run is expected from the 8 year old Irish challenger. 2pts win

Re: Alexmac's NH Thread 2009/10 Bollocks. Just did a wee write up for the above 6/1 E/W shot - Tasheba and lost it :( Bet 71 - TASHEBA - Sandown - 15.00 A distant last in a race at Wincanton last month, in which Celestial Halo won with ease. This shows that the Nicky Henderson trained Tasheba is not up to that level, but he should have come on for that effort and can trouble the principles in a far weaker looking race. At 6/1, an e/w bet is advised, and with the Henderson yard in such decent form, he must be feared to bounce back from the Wincanton display.

Re: Alexmac's NH Thread 2009/10 A further 2 winners at Sandown, both at nice odds. Somersby ran an absolute screamer of a race, pinging every fence he came up against on - the Arkle must be the target...? Tasheba ran a good race too, being eased into it and then staying on nicely, despite a lengthy stewards enquiry. Big Zeb did not handle the ground, and was nowhere to be seen, after Twist Magic ran the field ragged. Bets - 71 Wins - 36 Places - 8 Losses - 27 Bank - 261pts P/L - +61pts

Re: Alexmac's NH Thread 2009/10 Bet 72 - COPPER BLEU - Warwick - 12.40 Despite finishing 3rd on his chasing debut last month when sent off an even money favourite, Copper Bleu did not disappoint, and progression from that run is expected. Highly regarded at home, he was a smart hurdler last term, and with a little more experience under his belt, he should make an equally impressive chaser. He should take a good deal of beating here, with Aigle D'or most probably his biggest rival. 2pts win

Re: Alexmac's NH Thread 2009/10 Bet 73 - ARAN CONCERTO - Punchestown - 14.05 This is a cracking looking race. Cases can be made for all the field, but it is Aran Concerto who runs from my list of horses to follow. Despite not having run for 238 days, he will be a huge danger to the rest of the field here. Last season he was seen at Fairyhouse, beating Barker in a valuable Grade 1 contest. Barker went on to win another Grade 1, upholding the form. Despite being fragile, Noel Meade thinks highly of him, and he should prove very tough to beat. 2pts win

Re: Alexmac's NH Thread 2009/10 Bets - 73 Wins - 36 Places - 8 Losses - 29 Bank - 257pts P/L - +57pts Bad day today. Copper Bleu given a shocker of a ride IMO, and was never going to get up. He was heavily supported, backed in from 11/10 to 1/2 at the off. Surely he will win next time out, if he is given a 'proper' ride of course... Aran Concerto looked class in the parade ring, and travelled well, but was beaten when falling a few out. Hopefully the fall has not set him back... No runners tomorrow.

Re: Alexmac's NH Thread 2009/10 Bet 74 – THE BETCHWORTH KID – Taunton – 14.20 Classy looking race this, and one in which The Betchworth Kid will be hard to beat, despite carrying top weight. The stable have come into a bit of form, and the class this horse has should see him make a big impression on the National Hunt scene. A really consistant horse on the flat, with a near 20% win ratio, TheBetchworth Kid made a solid start to his hurdling career last month at Plumpton, where he won after travelling nicely throughout the race. The ground was heavy that day, and he should be able to handle the conditions he will meet today. He can easily get the trip, and finished really strongly in the Plumpton race. That race should have him right on form for this, and despite it being a step up in class – he should be very hard to beat.

2pts win

Re: Alexmac's NH Thread 2009/10 The Betchworth Kid lost out after an encouraging race. Tito Bustillo could be quite an interesting horse to follow for the rest of the season IMO... A number of horses run for me tomorrow - including the exciting LIDAR, and NOBLE ALAN (who was unlucky when falling LTO). Will post up quick previews in the morning... :)

Re: Alexmac's NH Thread 2009/10 Bet 75 - ALAIVAN - 12.10 - Gowran Park Alaivan come into this 3 year old hurdle race on the back of a lay off since July, however, he has been kept busy at home after being transferred from Oxx's yard after his latest win. He was a classy horse in Ireland on the flat, and if he can transfer that talent to jumping hurdles then he should prove to be very difficult to beat indeed. He was last seen beating the O'Brtian trained Von Jawlensky easily, and has won 2 from his 4 starts. The new stable have not been on fire this season, but have sent out big name winners in the form of Osana, Tranquil Sea and Torpichen - it is hoped that Alaivan can add his name to that list today, and move onto bigger and better races later in the season. 2pts win Bet 76 - NOBLE ALAN - 12.50 - Doncaster Noble Alan is a class act, as he displayed when cutting through the field to win the Scottish Champion Hurdle last season. Already seen twice over fences this year, he was footperfect on debut at Hexham, winning cosily, yet he fell LTO at Musselburgh. It is thought that a horse making a serious error infront of him distracted him that day, and he should bounce back here and give weight to the rest of the field. He is classy, and should not have too much trouble beating Secret Tune again, as he did in the Champion Hurdle. 2pts win Bet 77 - LIDAR - 15.35 - Cheltenham Lidar is a decent prospect, who finished second to Ghizoa at Cheltenham last month. He has 6 lengths to find on the Nicholls runner today, and they run off level weights. It may be a tough ask, but the stable are bang in form now, and the improvement needed may well transpire later on. It is a weak looking race outwith these 2, and it would be somewhat of a surprise if it were not these 2 fighting up the hill together. 2pts win

Re: Alexmac's NH Thread 2009/10 Bet 78 - INCHIDALY ROCK - 12.45 Cheltenham With a 50% win rate, Inchidaly Rock should come on from his last run, a victory at Exeter last month. He beat not alot that day, but scored by 14 lengths, pulling away at the end, so looks like he won't be troubled by the extra furlong here today. It could be a bit more of a hard fought victory, giving weight to Zemsky won't be an easy task, but this animal looks to have a serious engine and should be there at the finish. 2pts win

Re: Alexmac's NH Thread 2009/10 Bet 79 - DOESLESSTHANME - Doncaster - 13.35 A big hope from the stable, but was not good enough to win on his chasing debut at Carlisle in October, making a number of jumping errors. It seems he has been nback schooling over fences at home in an attempt to cut out the mistakes. If it has worked, then he should be a cut above the rest here. Cockney Trucker could be a danger but if Doeslessthan me is in the mood, he knows how to win, and should be up a bold showing here. 2pts win

Re: Alexmac's NH Thread 2009/10 Bet 80 - ZAYNAR - Cheltenham - 15.40 There is no doubt that this is a seriously talented horse. Never beaten over hurdles and a Festival winner. He has demolished high class fields time after time. Last time out, he dished out a 6 length pasting to the equally well fancied Karabak. That pair drew a mile clear of the third that day, showing that Zaynar has clearly progressed since last season. The field he is up against today is nowhere near as dangerous as the Ascot race, and the odds will reflect this, but it is nearly impossible to see him faltering here, on course for another big run at the Festival. 2pts win
