Re: Trendsmans One and Only Thread The shocking run continues and no winners coming out of here in a while. on a personal level i have not backed a single winner for 2 weeks a losing run of 20 bets. Got to move on and the motto i suppose is a winner is always around the corner so hopefully this is true.

Re: Trendsmans One and Only Thread Punchestown (Thursday 15th October) 15.15 Ryan's Cleaning Events Specialists Hurdle (listed) 2m Noel Meade and Paul Carberry have won this twice in the last three renewals winning with Iktitaf in 2006 and Aitmatov in 2007.and are partnered here with DONNAS PALM. The best weight carried to win this over the last six renewals has been 11st 12lb and this puts in the equation of FINGERS from the K.F.O'Brien stable. Six year olds just hold the edge here with three wins with five year olds winning two events..5yr olds runners below..(No 6yr olds participating) Donnas Palm Beckett Rock Glenstall Abbey Tramp Stamp Donnas Palm : Finished 7L second to Cheltenham Grade 1 Novice's Hurdle winner Mikael D'Haguenet over course and distance back in February this year on soft ground. Has had a break since april and won on his return on the flat at Navan 8 days ago over 2m and won with something in hand that day and is a player here with a lethal connection of Carberry and Meade. Beckett Rock : Was a maiden hurdle winner at Navan under todays booking of Nipper Madden over 2m in heavy conditions. He finished third over course and distance back in May 8.5L behind Aintree's Grade 2 John Smith's Novice's hurdle runner up Copper Bleu and Kilbeggan winner Otay Kawn. Glenstall Abbey : Has never won first time out after a lengthly break over hurdles and has been partnerd twice this year by Anthony McCoy when finishing bridesmaid on both occasions at Galway and Stratford. Hs changed hands since August and now trained by Charlie Swan, both his runs were over two and a half miles on soft ground and with no official booking as yet it would be interesting to see McCoy come over to ride this but will probably be partnered by David Casey who has one win from five starts on the Montjeu gelding. Tramp Stamp : Was a winner this time roughly last year when winning the Grade 3 EBF Scarvagh House Stud (Mares) Novice Hurdle at Down Royal over 2m on soft ground beating Jessica Harrington's Afasheen who has not shown improvement on both starts this year. Finished sixth twice to Hurricane Fly in the Grade 1 Bar One Racing Royal Bond Novice Hurdle at Fairyhouse over 2m on soft ground and looked very one pace that day and was 11.25L behind Donnas Palm when in receipt of 5lb, gets an extra 3lb for this event but looks held on that form. then ran the same fate in the Grade 1 Paddypower.com Future Champions Novice Hurdle over 2m at Leopardstown beaten by over 18L on soft ground. Was beaten in a Listed Vintage Crop Stakes event first time out this year to Alandi at Navan on the flat and the Aga Khan colt has won two Group 1's since including the Grp 1 Qatar Prix Du Cadran at Longchamp beating the likes of legend Yeats and Cheltenham runner up Kasbah Bliss. Made a pleasing re-apearance when finishing a head behind Michael Hourigan's Turf War at the Listowel festival over 2m on softish ground and also had Fingers back in fourth that day by 2.25L when in receipt of 1lb in the weights, that form looks well upheld with in receipt of 11lb here. Re: Trendsmans One and Only Thread Cheltenham is back and is probably one of my best venue's i enjoy in playing over the course of the year. 14.20 : Cheltenham Business Club Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle 2m 110y Over the last nine renewals of this event there has only been three winning favorites with the last one coming back in 2005 in Cantgeton when trained by the Martin Pipe. This is a hard race to assess has their has been not a winning trainer or jockey that has stamped their authority on this race apart from Nigel Twiston-Davies who has won this twice with Leamington Lad last year and Mistanoora back in 2003 and is represented here with WEATHER FRONT. There has been no winner over the age of 8 that has won this event and this will eliminate a recent winner of this. Calatagan (Won this in 2004) Mango Catcher Five year olds just hold sway here winning this four times in nine years. 5yr Olds Mutual Friend Weather Front Norman The Great McMurdo Sound Nothing is Forever Winning trainers of this race that have runners in this are.. Weather Front Mutual Friend (Pipe Team) Gaspara (Pipe Team) Calatagan Mohayer The two that will be played here is the 5yr olds in... Mutual Friend : Finished fourth in this last year to Leamington Lad going down by just over 4L, but has to carry 13lb more in the weights this time around. But with 16 runners still declared (?) and four places to be had he has every chance of making the frame again here. Conditions were not in his favour last time out at Stratford when pulling up and anything on the good side to soft will see him get very involved despite the weight. Jamie Farrelly takes a handy 3lb off here and has a record with the horse that shows 2401 and returns to ride ahead of Tom Scudamore. Weather Front : Trainer Nigel Twiston-Davies has won this event twice and is a trainer that has a good record around Cheltenham. Weather Front has had two runs here at Cheltenham with out getting into the frame and will not want the ground to soft here. Has managed to hit a run of wins this year with two on the bounce coming at Huntingdon when beating Tora Petcha by just under 3L and then won under a penalty to win at Stratford when beating Peaceful Means by 9L. since the beginning of the year has gone up 9lb to a mark today of 128 and might be in the handicappers grasp but as i said if the ground comes up to soft with rain expected he might not run. Weather Front : 1pt Win @ 5/2 (With Run) Mutual Friend : 1.5pt e/w @ 18/1

Re: Trendsmans One and Only Thread 14.55 Wbx.com Novices' Chase (Class 2) 2m Anthony McCoy has won this event three times from eight renewals but has not got a ride this time around but their is two jockeys that have mounts that have won this race before. Ruby Walsh : Rippling Ring Paddy Brennan : Pigeon Island Ruby Walsh won this last year for trainer Paul Nicholls on Poquelin and Paddy Brennan won this the year prior in 2007 on Nigel Twiston-Davies Tramantano. Six year olds hold just sway on wins here taking it three times. 6yr Olds Rippling Ring Pigeon Island Rippling Ring : Has had three attempts here to win at the past with the best run when finishing fifth last year at the main festival to Captain Cee Bee in the Grade 1 Supreme Novices' Hurdle going down by just under 12L.Returned to Cheltenham this year when tailed off in the Grade 3 Vincent O'Brien County Handicap Hurdle. But since diverting to chasing he has come into his own notching up one win and two seconds and beat Mutual Friend (Runs in the First) by just under 2L at Newton Abbott and had Safari Journey well beaten that day by over 31L when off level weights and that form looks solid. Was just touched of at Ffos Las to Archie Boy by 2L over 2m and was staying on well that day and should be there abouts again. Pigeon Island : Is no stranger to Cheltenham and has a form line that reads 553010 and recorded his only win when here over a furlong further when beating Group Captain by 7L. Has now diverted to chasing had made a dissapointing re-appearance when a beaten 1/5Fav at Perth back in September going down by a short head and looked to have the race in safe keeping until caught by Regent's Secret on the line. Rippling Ring : 3pt Win @ 9/2

Barizan There have been only three odds on shots that have participated in this event over the last ten renewals and all have won. 1999 : Bitter Sweets 2000 : Kadarann 2006 : Freeze The Flame Two of those odd on shots were partnered by Anthony McCoy and with Evan Williams winning this last year with Simarian it holds an extremely strong partnership here. Re: Trendsmans One and Only Thread Newmarket 14.35 Sariska Houghton Conditions Stakes (Class 2) 1m Favorites have a very good record in this race winning eight from the last ten renewals with five of the last ten running's being odds on. Henry Cecil has won this the past two years with Kandahar Run in 2007 and On Your Way in 2008 and is represented here with.. Rodrigo Des Torres Previous Winning trainers of this race with runners are.. Rodrigo Des Torres Emirates Dream Kalypso King Previous winning jockeys that have rides in this.. Tom Queally (Rodrigo Des Torres) Richard Hughes (Kalypso King) Frankie Dettori (Emirates Dream) Rodrigo Des Torres : Won his maiden well when winning at York over 6f beating the likes of Group 3 Firth Of Clyde Stakes winner Distinctive but has not progressed when a fancied chance in the Listed Two-year-old Trophy at Redcar and flopped considerably and despite the trainer having won this the last two years it is hard to see the Bahamian Bounty colt landing a blow here. Kalypso King : Has been very consistant and eventually got his just deserved when winning his maiden at Newbury beating the likes of Centurio by 7L and looked in his element when stepped up to the 8f trip, being by Giants Causeway he will only thrive at 8-10f and is a big player in this event. Emirates Dream : Since moving to Godolphin the Kingmambo colt won on debut for new connections when winning at York beating Laureldean Spirit by a neck and looked like the 8f would put the colt in better light. with odd on favorites having a 80% strike rate in this race it would suggest that this is nailed on for Godolphin with the yard in excellent form of late. Emirates Dream : 10pt Win @ 1.02 BF

Re: Trendsmans One and Only Thread 15.10 Thurlow Nunn Standen Darley Stakes (Group 3) 1m 1f There has been only two winning favorites in the last ten renewals of this event one back in 2000 and one back in 2004. It has been five years since a winning favorite in this race. There has only been two winners above the age of five in the last ten years which were Right Wing back in 2001 and Golden Silca in 2002. Above the age ratio Ordnance Row Stotsfold Ballintini Supaseus 3yr Old Contenders Palavicini Glass Harmonium Zafisio 4yr Old Contenders Balcarce Nov Hebridean Rio De La Plata Steel Tango Trainers that have got runners in this race that have won this in the past.. Charlie Farnsbarns (Last Years Winner) Rio De La Plata Glass Harmonuim Palavicini Jockeys that have won this event that have rides.. Glass Harmonium Ordnance Row Hebridean So the ones i am narrowing it down to are.... Glass Harmonuim : Just the four runs this year which started back in april when finishing fifth to Delegator in the Group 3 Craven Stakes over 8f's here at Newmarket, then went on to finish sixth in the Group 2 Dante Stakes at York behind Black Bear Island over 10f. then got his just deserves after running competatively to win the Listed Hampton Court Stakes at Ascot over 10f. had a three month layoff before finishing fourth behind Charlie Farnsbarns in the Concorde Club Conditions Stakes at Newbury over todays trip of 9f. Is probably the least exposed of the field this year but does have to turn around a 1.,25L beating from Charlie Farnsbarns on merit but being lightly raced this year has every chance to do so this time aound. Rio De La Plata : Another contender in this and ran considerably below par first time out after a 14 month layoff to finish last in the Listed Harley Slack Fund' Superior Mile at Haydock to Confront. Bounced back in good style and again bumped into Confront in the Group 3 Nayef Joel Stakes here at Headquarters over 8f, but the bird had flown with Confront getting first run and had to be content with the bridesmaid position, but a much better run and Godolphin have nursed this back to his best and should be far superior to some of these in this. Hebridean : Was a three time winner when trained by Aidan O'Brien with his best win coming when taking the Group 3 Gallinule Stakes at the Curragh back in May last year. Changed stables to Paul Nicholls yard and ran a blinder to finish fourth in the Juvenile Novices' Hurdle at Newbury behind Zaynar, then made another good appearance when finishing second to Ainama at Kempton, and with the trainer's persistance he took the Grade 2 Juvenile Novices' Hurdle at Kempton when beating Saticom by 5L under Ruby Walsh. Went to Aintree in good form and ran another big race when finishing fourth to Walkon in the Grade 1 Matalan Anniversary 4-y-o Novices' Hurdle. has ran against some useful types on the flat, New Approach, Conduit, Bronze Cannon, Campanologist and now with Luca Cumani and the booking of Keiran Fallon who could land his first Group race back in the saddle and could see this go extremely close in this. Rio De La Plata : 2pt Win @ 2.55 BF Glass Harmonium : 1pt Win @ 4.6 BF Hebridean : 1pt e/w @ 12/1 PaddyPower

Made her re-appearance when finishing sixth in the Fillies Listed Height Of Fashion Stakes at Goodwood and was 5L behind Splashdown that down off level weights and gets 3lb this afternoon but a little to find on paper with the former. Finished third on the AW last month to Heliodor over 12f and was staying on well. i just feel that she is still a little to high off her current mark of 106, but is going the right way. Misdaqeya : Did not really show her potential until finishing second to Rainbow View in the Fillies Group 3 Sweet Solera Stakes at Newmarket over 7f as a 2yr old. Has had just the three runs this year and with two unplaced runs she ran a good race when finishing third in the Mowbray Conditions Stakes at Leicester over just shy of todays trip going down by 4L, she will want some cut in the ground to really get involved here but is a lively outsider if getting her ground. Mooakada : Won on her 2yr old debut over 8f here when beating Times Up and did not really progress on from there with some disappointing runs in Listed and Group 3 company. But bounced back when running second behind Nashmiah in the Listed John Musker Fillies' Stakes at Yarmouth and had Splashdown back by 1.5L when in receipt of 5lb and just holds that form on the weights. looks better suited by the 10f trip and Ty O'Shea keeps the ride this afternoon. Copperbeech : 1pt Win @ 7.8 BF Misdaqeya : 1/2pt e/w @ 33/1 PaddyPower Mooakada : 1/2pt e/w @ 15/2 PaddyPower

Re: Trendsmans One and Only Thread Cheltenham (Sat 17th Oct) 2.40 Arbuthnot Paul Nicholls "Lucky Break" Novices´ Hurdle (CLASS 3) There have been four winning favorites from the last ten renewals of this race, but none for the last four running's. Paul Nicholls & Nigel Twiston-Davies have both won this twice.. P Nicholls : 1999 - Earthmover - 2006 - Lou Du Moulin Mas Nigel Twiston-Davies : 2003 - Ollie Magern - 2008 - Diablo Entries Here Billy Magern (Nigel Twiston-Davies) Picture This (Paul Nicholls) Five year old's have the best record in this event winning four times. 5yr Olds Billy Magern Benbane Head Tiermore Trainers that have won this race with entries in this.. Billy Magern Picture This Baddam Jockey's that have won this race in the past with mounts.. Picture This (Ruby Walsh) Benbane Head (Warren Marston) Picture This : Would of preferred some cut in the ground, but neverless won well under Ruby last time out over 3m on his handicap debut when beating Easter Legend by 1.25L. Owned by Manchester United's manager Alex Ferguson and the further he goes the better i feel and is a big player in this event. Billy Magern : Has been in great form since July notching up a four timer for jockey Tom Molloy and he keeps he chances here with the ground holding for him to get involved again. He seemed to have a hard race last time out at Perth when just holding on by a neck to Talkin Tough. a relation to recent winner of this event Ollie Magern and looks like another to stay on the right side of, but stiffest task to date. Benbane Head : Was not disgraced by any margin when finishing tenth to Dunguib in the Grade 1 Champion Bumper at the festival back in march. don't think the conditions have gone in his favour here as would of preferred a lot more rain being a winner in heavy conditions early in the year, but a winning jockey of this race Warren Marston in the past and might be a squeak each way chance. Billy Magern : 3pt Win @ SP Picture This : 1.5pt e/w @ SP

Re: Trendsmans One and Only Thread 4.25 Showcase Handicap Hurdle (Class 2) 2m 5f Favorites have done well in this event winning six of the ten renewals, the last three running's have resulted in non favorites to win here. Seven year olds just hold sway here with three wins.. 7yr Old's Ameeq Picot De Say Philip Hobbs has won this twice, once with Brother Joe in 2001 and From Dawn to Dusk in 2007 and is represented here with.. Keki Buku Anthony McCoy has won this race twice, once with Daraydan back in 1999 and Jollyolly in 2003 and has a booked ride in this.. Factotum Trainers that have won this race with runners this year.. Keki Buku Jockeys that have won this before that have mounts this year.. Keki Buku Ameeq Keki Buku : Has run here twice without much success, finishing fifteenth in the Grade 1 Champion Bumper Standard Open NH Flat Race last year. ran a lot better when finishing fifth in the Class 3 Racing UK Novices' Handicap Hurdle and the step up in trip i feel will bring Kadalko gelding into his own over this trip. Has been disappointing this year but all of his runs have come on ground good to soft, and first chance on good to firming ground we might see a bigger run. Ameeq : The best run probably this year was when running second to Cootehill in the Listed Summer Handicap Hurdle at Market Rasen when dead heating for second, the step up in trip will i feel be beneficial as had Picot De Say back that day by 3.25L when in receipt of 13lb and will find things much tougher to hold that form with a 17lb turn around. Had a short spell on the flat before being brought down at Market Rasen last time out when not really gettin a chance, but is capable on his day to get into the frame here. Factotum : Has taken well to hurdles from a career on the flat with Luca Cumani and won two from five starts with Anthony McCoy winning twice on him at Uttoxeter and Worcester. He was stepped up in trip to 2m 6f and could not go on the softning groud that day and returning back on favorable ground and McCoy in the plate this could be a partnership that could win this race as looks one of the least exposed in the field. Re: Trendsmans One and Only Thread Newmarket (Champions Day) 1.50 Victor Chandler Challenge Stakes (Group 2) 7f Three year olds just hold sway in this race winning four of the last ten renewals.. 3yr Olds Ashram Donativum Ouqba Cuis Ghaire Summer Fete There has only been two winning favorites of this race in the last ten renewals, Sleeping Indian back in 2006 and Stimulation last year. Barry Hills has been the most successful trainer in this winning the race three times with Last Resort back in 2000 and Munir in 2001 and Miss Lucifer in 2007 and has a representative in this race today. Ouqba Trainers that have won this race with representatives today.. Ouqba Ashram Donativum Asset Arabian Gleam Main Aim Jockey's that have won this race before that have mounts in this race. Al Qasi Ashram Tariq There has not been an irish trained winner in the last ten renewals of this race and this would eliminate Cuis Ghaire Ouqba : Barry Hills has a good record in this over the years winning it three times. Started the campaign of 2009 off well when winning the Listed European Free Handicap over course and distance back in april when beating Awinnersgame by an easy 2.75L. Finished eleventh in the Group 1 2000 guineas to Sea The Stars, and then went on to win the Group 3 Jersey Stakes at Ascot when beating Deposer and had Ashram back in third by a further 4.25L when in receipt of 3lb and Donativum back in fifth a further 0.75L off level weights. Ashram will be a lot closer today getting his 3lb back and Donativum looks well held on that run. Since going up to a mark of 114 he has found life a bit more tougher, disappointing in two Group 2 events and might find a little harder today against a good field. Ashram : The Godolphin three year old has been going from strength to strength since may and has only run one bad race when attempting soft conditions at Goodwood and that run can be over looked. He won well under frankie at Kempton on the All Weather beating Brief Encounter by 1.25L, then stepped up to win the Listed Dubai Duty Free Cup at Newbury taking the scalp of Huntdown and Stimulation in good fashion and had Tariq a long way back that day. There are no excuses here, he is the horse to beat in this and rightly so on what he has beaten up to date. Ashram : 2pt Win @ 4.1 Betfair Ouqba : 1/2pt e/w @ 6/1 PaddyPower
