Football Laying

The inspiration for this Glory Hunt comes from seabird's and jimmah's laying threads. They both are doing really well at laying selections and I've always been a bigger fan of laying rather than backing selections. My GH will be football win markets lays only, mainly Premiership games. I shall stake and therefore lay to win 1% of my bank each time, although in reality it will be 0.95% of the balance because of the Betfair commission charge. I shall only do lays that I deem fit although I'll try not to pick too many at longer odds because one or two losses could wipe out a large chunk of the bank. I shall start with a balance of £50.00. Yes this is low starting point but if this proves successful the stakes and hopefully winnings will increase as I go along. This is going to be a long-term GH I don't expect to increase my balance rapidly but with wise picks I'm hopeful I can slowly increase my balance over time. First selections will be up shorty. CHANGE OF STAKING PLAN (Explained Below) Having seen Keep Earth's GH i've decided to change my staking plan slightly and adopt a similair one. The idea behind it being that you try and limit you liability to a certain amount by reducing the % of the stake your backing to win the longer the odds are. That way if you get a freak upset at long odds it won't have a big impact on your balance than if I continue with this compound 1% fixed stake method of staking. There shall be 5 bands of prices which are the following: 3.5 or lower = 1.4% of bank per stake 3.6 to 7.4 = 1.0% of bank per stake 7.5 to 11 = 0.8% of bank per stake 11.5 -15.5 = 0.6% of bank per stake 16 or higher = 0.4% bank of stake In addition I update the stake after every day of selections. If I hit a losing streak the stakes will remain at the same as when the bank was at it's previous highest until either I regain the bank upto a new high and change the stakes according or until 35% of the bank as been lost since it orginal high point at which stage I shall adjust the stakes to the new bank.
