Re: CL - Tuesday 24 February Lyon - Barcelona Today, 19:45 Soccer - Champions L Pick: Over 2.5 Result: Pending Stake: 10/10 Odds: 2.01 Bookmaker: Pinnacle vCash: Yes Posted: Yesterday, 08:14 Very nice odds for Overs IMO. Both teams have no worries in their local. Lyon are 6 points clear of PSG and Barca are 7 points clear of Real Madrid. Lyon coach Claude Puel has labeled Barcelona "the best team in the world" according to the newspapers. When that happens you know Lyon don't feel obligated to do more than their best to try and go to the next round on Barca's expense. Barca plays to win every game even though it hasn't been going as smoothly lately. Previous results: 07 Nov 27 Champions League Lyon 2:2 Barcelona 07 Sep 19 Champions League Barcelona 3:0 Lyon 01 Oct 23 Champions League Lyon 2:3 Barcelona 01 Oct 10 Champions League Barcelona 2:0 Lyon _______________________________________________ Inter - Man Utd Today, 07:45 Soccer - Champions L Pick: Under 2 Result: Pending Stake: 10/10 Odds: 2.00 Bookmaker: Pinnacle vCash: Yes Posted: Feb 16, 2009, 09:51 Two of the best defenses in Europe meet once again. The defending champions have conceded only 6 goals in their league travels while the host had conceded only 8. Inter CL matches had 1 goal scored in each while Man Utd. had scored 3 past Aalborg defenses. Mourinhos' men must get a result before the return match at Old Trafford. My personal feeling is that it will be Man Utd. who goes through as revenge for the loss to Porto. Good luck and god bless TuttiFooty.Com Footy Stats

by the way "Stick ur ultra's up your arse"? Haha mature comment' date=' I'm not a Inter fun buddy I'm out to make money.[/quote'] It wasnt directed at you, its just a song I love to hear when the Italians threaten war.. Mike, iv nothing personal with u dude, i just dont see ur point of view that Inter will walk away with this game.. Iv been betting/ tradeing for few years now and this season iv watched a lot of Man Utd, Inter, A.C, Barca & all the top teams play over the internet & IMO opinion Inter are over rated, iv seen people in this thread say utd have struggled this season, they are dillousional, UTD & Barca are playing the best footie iv seen since A.C milan in the early 90's. Trust me, i value ur opinion as its possible the san siro is a daunting place to go, but i think Man Utd have picked up plenty of experience in the last 10 years to deal with big games & big atmosphere's and to say they will loose 2-0 to a over rated Inter team with 2 strikers who would be lucky to get in the Newcastle team is a bit of a fantasy. Weras Rooney Berbatov, Ronaldo, Tevez is without doubt the best attacking force in europe Yes im a man utd man, but this season's team is without doubt better than the 99 treble winning team & I can only see one team who can match them this season, Barcelona I will say this, if utd do crumble, they will crumble bad, but i cant see it tonight Anyway, we will talk after the game.

Re: CL - Tuesday 24 February

Ok Fergie what you got up your sleeve cause that midfield is absolutely wank......seriously with all due respect that starting XI is crap with what they have on the bench....perhaps tire the Inter players out? Hmmm interesting. BOL to all.
What ever his plan. It worked, Now were off to wembley for a carling cup final with a few important players fresh & ready to go.. Inter Milan = Over Rated Inter Midfield = Over rated & over run first half

Inter Milan Vs Man United Was impressed enough with Inter's display in the derby, i think they are a cut above the other teams in Serie A, as their domestic record over the last 4/5 years has proved, the same can of course be said for Man U, think alot has been made over these injury problems, and the comments before the game, about which team will/wont attack or defend is all pre-match rubbish, neither Mourinho or Mr Ferguson will want to lose this match and it has draw written all over it. Draw @ 2/1 plus no goalscorer @ 7/1
Great :nana

Re: CL - Tuesday 24 February

good point - man u i feel play differently in big CL away games than nearly any other game. SAF will field "legs & graft" rather than substance in midfield..I wouldn't be surprised to see Bergatov or Rooney chosen as lone striker with Ronaldo floating and behind that Carrick, Fletcher, Giggs and Park. I was surprised how open the recent milan Derby was with both teams creating a bagful of chances. Adriano missed his fair share & i've never been a big fan of Ibrahmovic, admittedly i haven't watched him consistently but any big game i have seen him play for club or country he has disappointed. As a strike pair, i wouldn't rate them as highly as manu attack. Centre back will be huge for manu... if O'Shea starts there i can see Inter scoring as he simply loses concentration too often against quality opposition to be trusted in this crucial position, a solid & useful squad player he is, it would be a cause for concern should he line up there. Evans however, while lacking the big CL experience i have seen more than enough to think he can do a job there. He is a more natural CB than O'Shea but needs a confident start. Mourinho is confident enough 2 think his team can go to OT and get a result so i don't see him going for the throat here, and 0-0 not bad result for Inter. SAF also i believe will be relatively cautious for him.. I haven't seen enough Inter to stake any major bets here, but 9point lead in Serie A is impressive. Overall IMO a cagey affair with two managers perhaps a little overly appreciative of each other's qualities to make any major chess moves in first leg. Small stake on 0-0 and medium stake on the under. GL All
:beer:beer:beer:beer:beer I'll take that thank you!!!

Re: CL - Tuesday 24 February

IMo we will see a tactical hard fight and a defensive match despite the fact both ofensive lines are available. Chess game between Mourinho & Ferguson again!! Inter is not the allmighty team in european clashes' date=' showed well against Pana and Bremen in last round, ManU won't be fighting for a away win cos 1 point probably will be ok for 'em, they rely on their home power. It's [b']Draw match written all over it, StanJames offers nice 3,20. Under 2,5 goals also probable but represents not much value at odds around 1,55, Goldvictory again with nice 1,70 at the top :ok
perfect outcome :cheers

Re: CL - Tuesday 24 February Congrats on those who played the 0-0 draw I've gotta admit United played much better than I expected with the team they fielded. Like some other people, I thought that XI didn't really look too good in defence and midfield, but some guys certainly surprised me. Sadly, United do certainly look like a well oiled machine at the moment. But they fail to get an away goal, which ultimately could prove crucial. Inter a bit of a disappointment for me, although they did improve in the 2nd half, for sure they are capable of much better.

Arsenal Vs Roma Arsenal are different team when playing in Europe, think it suits their style of play much better, even with several key players missing, think RVP and Bentner can cause Roma enough problems, Roma haven't convinced me when playing in England previously against English opposition, both Chelsea and Man U opened them up. Arsenal Win @ Evens Nicklas Bendtner FGS @ 15/2 EW (4places @ 1/3 odds) Denilson FGS @ 18/1 EW(4places @ 1/3 odds) Inter Milan Vs Man United Was impressed enough with Inter's display in the derby, i think they are a cut above the other teams in Serie A, as their domestic record over the last 4/5 years has proved, the same can of course be said for Man U, think alot has been made over these injury problems, and the comments before the game, about which team will/wont attack or defend is all pre-match rubbish, neither Mourinho or Mr Ferguson will want to lose this match and it has draw written all over it. Re: CL - Tuesday 24 February

Inter - Manchester UTD: X @ 3.15, 0-0 exact result @ 7.00, (both teams to score @ 1.80, just to have a bit of "cautiousness" for my budget in this match :-) ) Probably the best of Italy (even if I am definitely not an Inter's supporter) vs best of UK as many posters already said. It will be a tight match, fought on tactics. Inter apparently seems to be at best of its shape now, Manchester maybe at 90% of its physical shape. The fear to take a goal could lead to a draw and the odds are definitely not bad in my opinion.
I didn't take the good reasons of this outcome, but getting it saved definitely my night! :)

Re: CL - Tuesday 24 February HAHAH wow what a bunch of hosers on this thread, yet to see one real classy post other than Meatman's after the match. Anyways big ups to Man Utd, should of been up 2-0 at the HT BUT as the case this season they fail to convert. 2H we saw a much more open game, and personally anyone who had Under 2.5 is EXTREMELY LUCKY. That game had at least 2-1 written all over it. The refereeing was a bit questionable. What is really funny is to see Man Utd diving more than the Inter players. Nevertheless, well done to Utd, I still think that midfield was questionable, if Ferguson had put on Rooney or Tevez earlier or the entire game they would of brought home a win, so now this will prove to be interesting at OT

mate this is an open forum, some people had right outcome of the match, some people failed. We don't fight against ech other, we try to beat the bookies. To call people "hosers" you even don't know personally, is quite insulting. Live and let live...

I have given my appreciation on Utd, I even said they deserved more than a win but for people whom come in here and make silly comments when they barely made any effort to contribute is questionable.

Re: CL - Tuesday 24 February Man Utd were the better team but yet again the game is spoiled by players going down like they are snipered from the stands. Ronaldo really ought to get a grip the way he dives around. No doubt though United were by far the better side and deserved to win. I had to laugh at Mourinho going berserk on the touch line about a United player diving. Does he forget the way his Porto side dived and cheated their way to the UEFA Cup back in 2003 against Celtic? He is nothing but a cheating tosser.

you've just made a general comment about everybody Mike... this is a betting forum, when people nail bets and take money from bookies its not a sin to acknowledge winnings....

you've just made a general comment about everybody Mike... this is a betting forum' date=' when people nail bets and take money from bookies its not a sin to acknowledge winnings....[/quote'] Right that's fine with me, but there is a manner it can be done at a less obvious way. There were some fantastic hits today with people nailing the draw and correct score, so well done to those. But there will always be a few who generally think ah ha yeap I nailed it but when you lose you try to run away with it. I lost half my stakes today and I have congratulated Utd on a performance they deserved more from. I didn't go on saying that Utd were lucky this, or Inter should of done this, not trying to find excuses, what I saw today was that the better team did not come out with 3 points that they should of brought home. I don't have a bias opinion because I don't like either team, I made my preview based on what I've seen throughout the season, I was FAIR with my assesment and though I was wrong on a few of them, I was far from being biased.

Re: CL - Tuesday 24 February I thought I should pop in this thread again to congratulate winners on Inter and Lyon games, instead I find here some sort of verbal fight over a game that is already in the past. Makes no sense to me, the forum today was great, and one of the reasons the winners are winners tonight IMO is the fact that they discussed their picks openly, including with those who didn't win. To cheer up those who lost tonight here's my experience: Two picks in CL with max stake - both winners - the cards in Milano and Over 3 in Madrid ( apologies for after-eventing, but it was a late one ). 6 medium stake picks in England plus 2 doubles - all lost. I guess that makes me a greedy tw@t and a tosser. Still, I was given a free football night from my girlfriend ( who's a lot younger than me ) and I watched great football with friends, which I only meet 4-5 times a year now. I guess I was a lucky bastard, and tomorrow looks great...:ok
