Re: ATP Brisbane/Chennai/Doha & WTA Auckland/Brisbane/Hong Kong & Hopman Cup 5th-11th Early bet for me ,that early there aint no odds up yet but will take if the odds are good. Back B Klein v T Berdych Klein last year had a good year in the Futures events, starting 2008 ATP ranking at 618 and fin at Dec 08 at 251. Worth a punt if looking to break through at good odds,we hope.

Re: ATP Brisbane/Chennai/Doha & WTA Auckland/Brisbane/Hong Kong & Hopman Cup 5th-11th Klein last year had a good year in the features events!and just a few times he has shown on challengers performing not so good as on features!! This will be his only second tournament with prize/money over 100000$,when he first time shown on over 100000$ tour. was trashed by Capdeville 3:0 in the first round of last years Australian open(no home advantage in Brisbane too for him,i think). Ausie tennis public is disappointed of the choises for players receveing WC this year in Brisbane,Tomic and Klein.(Guccione plays qual.)!According to them, these two boys are laaacking experience for a tournament like this and it would be real mirracle if any of them win a single set in Brisbane(now Tomic meets Verdasco,Klein meets Berdyich). @zero_this might help you i thought! i dont see good odds in this match:ok

Re: ATP Brisbane/Chennai/Doha & WTA Auckland/Brisbane/Hong Kong & Hopman Cup 5th-11th Brisbane qual.,it's :ok :unsure, might be useful.. Australian Sam Groth has continued his impressive form this summer with a sizzling 6-3 7-6(1) win over Canadian Frank Dancevic in the opening round of the men’s singles qualifying. Runner-up in the Australian Open 2009 Play-off, Groth used his big serve and strong ground strokes to full effect against the 130-ranked Canadian. It’s a big scalp for Groth, who is currently the world No.278. Groth will now face No.1 qualifying seed Russian Telmuraz Gabashvili in the second round of qualifying. Big-serving Australian Chris Guccione has been knocked out of qualifying at the Brisbane International by American Amer Delic 6-4 7-5. The centre-court match was originally planned for an outer court, but was moved to Pat Rafter Arena when the scheduled match between Russian Maria Kirilenko and Australia’s Samantha Stosur was cancelled due to Kirilenko withdrawing with illness. Ai Sugiyama has taken Kirilenko’s place in the draw and a lucky loser will be promoted to fill the vacant spot. In other completed men’s qualifying matches: Evgeny Korolev (RUS) d Martin Fischer (AUT) 6-2 6-1 Kevin Anderson (RSA) d Greg Jones (AUS) 7-6(3) 6-4 Bobby Reynolds (USA) d Michail Elgin (RUS) 4-6 6-2 6-3 Luka Gregorc (SLO) d Jesse Huta Galung (NED) 6-4 6-4 Mikhail Kukushkin (KAZ) d Robert Smeets (AUS) 7-5 6-4

Re: ATP Brisbane/Chennai/Doha & WTA Auckland/Brisbane/Hong Kong & Hopman Cup 5th-11th Brisbane first round Baghdatis v Nieminen i expect bookies and betting exchangers to consider nieminen as slight favourite here, so marcos is expected to be offered near 2-2.10 my idea is opposide ofcource, since i know details about marcos preparation season my info from the academy confirms a terrific shape of marcos, who was unstoppable in trainings. With high quality academy mates, such as llondra, gasquet, benneteau, mahut and some youngsters, marcos worked too hard with his fitness team in order to build the ideal physical condition, and now he is at the top, while his tennis trainings were absolutely targeting to improve specific areas of the game, with the "net volley" one, to be rated as top priority by marcos, while service techniques were used, in order to compose a reliable first serve for marcos, a real weapon against any opponent:) i see marcos as a soldier now, in top physical form, and him self said yesterday that -i feel better than ever-, that makes me confident he will beat nieminen marvellous price @2 my knowledge about current situation of nieminen, is zero however, i take baghdatis to win, based on above analysis, is enough for me on maximum confidence:ok good luck guys, see you tomorrow with result, is very early european times, cheque the time please before you place stakes:hope

Re: ATP Brisbane/Chennai/Doha & WTA Auckland/Brisbane/Hong Kong & Hopman Cup 5th-11th very early stages of the atp season..people are scared to place money, most of brisbane matches are dead at betfair...almost nothing, or the financial crisis affeted the bettors budgets?? what do you think guys?? btw, concerning my tip above, i watched nieminen in front of my eyes, it was during 2007 davis cup, cyprus beat finland 3-2 with two marcos victories, the one was against nieminen, marcos won 3-0 sets -walk around the park- and his form was questionable that time he looks like a tennis commando at this moment:lol lets see :ok

I don't know what the situation is with crysis, I think we are talking too much about it. We not gone to improve something this way. The best betting site bet 365 is okay. Baghdatis-Nieminen sould be a very close match. I know what Jarkko can show, but I have no idea how Baghdatis is at the moment. No idea. Hewitt 1.61 Hewitt talked so much about his expecations, efforts he made to get back in Top 20. He'll fight to the end, against an imprevisible Kiefer, whom I don't respect too much. Nicolas just can lose the nerve out there and start to hit unfforced errors, that's what I'm expecting. Good preparation for his Austrealian Home Tournament. H2H is convincing 3-0 for Lleyton. All 2-0 and hardcourts wins.

Re: ATP Brisbane/Chennai/Doha & WTA Auckland/Brisbane/Hong Kong & Hopman Cup 5th-11th MELZER @ 2.37 Will Hill. Really don't see much between these guys. H2H is 2-1 and all matches have gone 3 sets and I think this'll be close too. Both guys have had some reasonable results in this part of the season, but I'd rather side with Melzer at this price. C ROCHUS @ 2.11 Pinnacle. The Rochus lads have done OK at Doha down the years, and I fancy Christophe for this one. He did well to get his ranking back up last year and really falling away and should some into this season with a bit of confidence. Stakovsky is very inconsistant, and in possibly windy conditions in Doha it should suit Rochus. Rochus is also higher ranked by 23 places so why is he the dog?

Yeah places like bet365, Will Hill and Betfair have a live video service. You don't need to pay but I think you need to have an account and need to be logged in to view.

I agree with this one. Melzer has a winning record against the likes of Ljubicic, Karlovic, Safin, Isner, Lopez and Llodra - all big servers like Fish. Fish also has a negative career record against lefties.

r: ATP Brisbane/Chennai/Doha & WTA Auckland/Brisbane/Hong Kong & Hopman Cup 5th-11th There is one match in Chennai that seems attractive to me.Kim v Devvarman_pick Devvarman @ 1.90 Somdev Devvarman is a two time NCAA singles champion(that don't has to mean anything),turned pro in Juli 2008 and is currently ranked 204. At the end of the last season i've noticed a couple of brilliant performances by this 23years old Indian_surprising win over Almagro on clay in three sets, final match in Nashville(wins over players like Warburg,Levine,Reynolds before that final). Theres a lot of improvement in his play and it seems that he is in preety good phisical shape. His main target this season is entering in Top 100 ATP players, what will be very hard, indeed. Now he has great chance to start accomplishing that target in his first match this year in Chennai(India),on home ground, what is good advantage for him,i think! For Kims form i can't say much,he is madiocre player, playing mostly on challenger events,i must notice that he is better ranked for 90 places on ATP ranking(thats why the odds are slightly on his side,i think)! My first tennis pick on PL,hopefully winning one :hope

Re: ATP Brisbane/Chennai/Doha & WTA Auckland/Brisbane/Hong Kong & Hopman Cup 5th-11th anyway, i watched the nieminen baghdatis match from bet365 i just opened an account, and the match was offered free of charge despite the bad quality of transmision, i concluded very serious things but as i promised to my self, i never take into consideration anybodys opinions about tennis matches, the result of whom is totally other reasoned, than anybody may imagine... i didnt lose money of course, since i traded marcos lead in sets, when i realised that the guy is far from being convinsing despite he took the lead, so i secured a small profit-i was watching from bet365 and trading at betfair-LOL cheers boys :dude

I noticed that Boylesports don't have this match listed. I had a heck of a time getting them to pay out on the Darcis v Rochus match in october. When I contacted them they said it was under investigation. They paid up after a few days but left the bet status as open on my account statement, very unusual. No bet for me, but I'm going to see how the odds go. Rochus to win from a set down maybe heh.

Re: ATP Brisbane/Chennai/Doha & WTA Auckland/Brisbane/Hong Kong & Hopman Cup 5th-11th 1-1 today, both final set tiebreaks. FERRERO @ 1.53 Stan James. I just think this is a little big. I'm a fan of Ferrero and after missing a big chunk of last season, playing really well in Australasia last year, I expect him to come in prepared and play pretty well. He's classes above Serra and I think this is a bit generous. SIRIANNI @ 2.95 Pinnacle. I'll take the home boy at a very reasonable price. Sirianni had a good run first tournament of the year last year in Adelaide until he run into Llodra in the semis. It was a pretty close match but Llodra managed to come through. That was in a period where the Frenchman was showing some extremely good form but then he really fell away. This year I think it's going to tough to get back to that level. Sirianni did very well in qualifying winning 3 matches without dropping a set including against Zverev and Muller who are both decent and have similar styles to Llodra (especially Zverev). PENNETTA @ 1.66 Blue Sq. Pennetta finished last year playing really well and I expect her to get a win here. She was pretty close to Safina in her first match and the surface here should suit her. Cornet for me still not that good on quicker surfaces and I think this is a reasonable price.

Re: ATP Brisbane/Chennai/Doha & WTA Auckland/Brisbane/Hong Kong & Hopman Cup 5th-11th Djokovic v. Gulbis pick Gulbis @4.5 Heavy price for Gulbis win,i'm taking it:hope This surely will not be walkover for Djokovic,i expect very hard match(three setter maybe)! Djole is focused on Melbourne i think,(but he is pro)where he has to defend his GS title from last year!pressure on him is already big, especialy from the media( is he pro enough to cope with it?). On the other side Gulbis, great server who has nothing to lose in this clash. His mental capacity was on full display several times last season against Nadal and Djokovic.I think he is well capable of making an upset here Go Ernest..:hope

Re: ATP Brisbane/Chennai/Doha & WTA Auckland/Brisbane/Hong Kong & Hopman Cup 5th-11th Hi all, I have been a keen follower of the board for a few months and decided it is time to try and contribute after getting so much from everyone in here. I back all selections myself and will keep a year to date profit/loss in my signature when i work out how to get the thing working! I will only count bets posted here in advance to ensure the fairness and transparency of, hopefully :D, my profits! Federer -5.5 & Nadal -5.5 4 points @ 3.17 William Hill I'm expecting to be on the other side of Roger this season but after a fair showing in the exhibition last week, this should be a fairly straightforward task. Starace is a clay court specialist with little hard court play on his record, often the case when you are dumped out first time round so often! Granted he may not be a walkover but at 5/6, Roger looks good value to beat the handicap. Rafa squares up to Santoro, he opened up at 5/6 to beat the handicap but has been clipped into 8/11. Although a loser to Andy last week, I thought he looked great and should oblige here. Santoro turns 37 this year and has clocked up just over $9 million in an excellent career, all credit to him but Rafa loves to put these matches away and should do to overcome the 5.5 handicap.

Re: ATP Brisbane/Chennai/Doha & WTA Auckland/Brisbane/Hong Kong & Hopman Cup 5th-11th Thank you Mr I, here's to a profitable season :beer BERDYCH -5.5 4 points @ 1.83 - William Hill Klein is a wildcard to this with some god awful form behind him but gets it on what i can only assume is a favour to a home player. Berdych has a lot of talent but is still struggling to find a real consistency on the tour for me, i like him here on the hard though. I feel a key will be the size matchup between the two, you may think I'm a little loopy with this one but Berdych at 6'5" serving into a 5'7" is going to cause a lot of problems. I had this down for 2 points but if Berdych turns up later, he will make this look easy, let's go for it.

Re: ATP Brisbane/Chennai/Doha & WTA Auckland/Brisbane/Hong Kong & Hopman Cup 5th-11th Apologies, I was writing this up as i put my bet on and the maximum on the market is 3 points, so please read the above as Berdych -5.5 Games, 3 points @ 1.83 on William Hill! I will ensure bet is confirmed before future bets. :ok

Oh well the bet stands, here's hoping

I did get the right person, ATP must have updated his profile just after i checked it the first time as he had a new picture, had grown to 6ft and gained 600 places in the rankings! Anyway, Berdych took an easy victory but should have wrapped it up a little quicker. Berdych def. Klein 6-0 6-4 (12 - 9.5 Handicap) Stake - 3 pts Return - 5.5 pts P/L = + 2.5 pts

Nice one. Gulbis was impressive throughout. Anytime I backed him last year, he'd get a cracking start then collapse spectacularly. Djokovic doesn't look very well prepared mentally. The dogs are doing well it seems. Coin looks like a possibility today. She beat an out of sorts Ivanovic last year and I think she could at least take set off Mauresmo who's been on the slide and struggled against 177 ranked Dokic.
