He disappointed at short odds at Exeter that day, finishing second to Inchidaly Rock, but bounced back last time slamming On Raglan Road, the odds on fav, at Sandown in a competitive grade 2 event. Not a very inventive pick from me but i think FINGER ON THE PULSE has very strong claims in the 2.30 Cheltenham. This one will do instead then...... 9.20 Wolverhampton Princess Valerina -best form has come over 6f with her form figures reading 2112 over this trip. Tried in last years 1000 Guineas when with Barry Hills, her mark has been slipping but she finally cashed in in a handicap at Folkestone in October when winning a 0-80 raced off 69. She was upped 3 lbs for her last run, when finishing second to Doubtful Sound, to suggest she acts on the surface. In some of these cases that win came some time ago though. The one that looks to have a fantastic chance on these terms is Surwaki. Robert Cowell's gelding won off 75 at Leicester a few years ago, last year off 74 at Warwick but is down to a mark of 60 here and showed he could be up to winning having put in a decent second lto when beaten by only a neck by Comrade Cotton. He's back up a couple of pounds as the handicapper realised his initial 9 lb drop from his run prior to that at Newm may have been too generous, but C and D look to be fine and he could run well again at a half-decent price. 12's with betfred, no Ppower prices up yet but gotta dash! Good luck anyway lads. The thing was though that yesterdays bet wasn't put on as Cheltenham was called off as Tip was putting his selection up. I know what you and Mileni are saying makes sense but for me its not just about profit and the ultimate for me would all four of us picking a winner on the same day. We have had a bit of bad luck with NRs and meetings called off but :hope we will get there.
