Benfica with so so strong offensive squad ( Suazo , Reyes, Di Maria etc.) I cannot see them bagging at least 2! Any other opinions ?

Even -2 @ 3.25 seems very likely due to the first game's result (CSKA 2 X1 [A] ) and both teams actual forms. Careful on hendikep, slaven is in good form. in first game they were better side, and cska were very lucky scoring twice in last minutes (one penalty). They also beat dinamo zagreb on friday with some nice performance so ...;)

i agree with you. CSKA in good form, but after first hard and lucky win 2:1 they will play in slow defensive football. If Slaven in good form as you said and if they not leave dream about next round they may do hard match for CSKA. I think CSKA today want win with "little blood" and save power for national championat. I cant see CSKA win with big margin. Slaven (+2)*1.6

Re: UEFA Cup - ( 30-02 10 2009 ) Levski - Žilina Žilina sacked their head coach Vrba after some poor performances in home league, he was replaced by Radolsky-former Ruch chorzow coach, who started well by 3-1 victory against dubnica. this was kinda unexpected step from the management of slovak club firing the creator of three domestic league titles just week before their do or die match in sofia... president of the club is expecting radolsky to bring some new impulses to the team. big blow for zilina is suspension of their playmaker Jež. some injury troubles have Vladavič, Rilke and Pečalka. slovak vice champion is at this time already on road to bulgaria and will held first training this evening. both teams are willing to progress to the main stage of uefa cup. looking at this fixture i think it is hard to select some picks with high confidence. i think it is very propable that we will assist to another 1-1 draw and then overtime and maybe penalty kicks... under this i consider 2,70 in local for zilina to go further as a nice value. the referees of the match will be : Radek Matějek (CZE) head referee Martin Wilczek (CZE) and Antonín Kordula (CZE) assistant referees

Re: UEFA Cup - ( 30-02 10 2009 ) Dinamo Bucharest appeal to me at home to NEC. Dinamo look to have an excellent home record with 4 wins from 4 games with a GD of 8-1. They trail 1-0 from the first leg so will be desperate to get the win here and will surely go at the dutch side from the beginning. NEC have only played twice away from home but have yet to win. I dont think they're European regulars so a trip to a fortress like this is an unknown and Romanian football is obviously on the up if Cluj are anything to go by. The above is based purely on stats so would appreciate any info the two teams.

Artmedia v Braga As a Rangers fan Artmedia are a team i will never forget (Artmedia 5-0 Celtic). Braga won the 1st leg 4-0 so the tie is all but over, but 2/1 for a home win is very interesting. In the champions league 3rd qualifying round Artmedia drew 1-1 at home with Juventus so they are certainly no mugs at home. So often in this scenario with the tie all but over the home side get a win in the 2nd leg. I'm still undecided so all thoughts and opinions will be greatly appreciated.

it's another artmerdia now they are in huge troubles, chenged owner recently, some players left club already and artmedia will problably dismiss within few years. they have not won for ages in any game and may well relagate from slovak league. maybe a draw but probably an away win.

The result gave Standard a strong advantage for qualification since a 0-0 or 1-1 draw lets them move to the next stage. Consequently, I think Everton will be forced to take chances in order to score and this will leave their defense vulnerable. With 13 goals against, Everton's defense is currently the worst in the Premier league. Standard is perfectly capable of capitalizing on their weakness. Furthermore, Standard left good impressions against Liverpool who they pushed to the edge in their CL qualifying round. Reasoning	Everton have not won in their last 4 and come up against a resilient side in Liege. They lost the Merseyside derby at the weekend and can only come into this game with poor confidence. Liege meanwhile beat their big rivals Anderlecht and have moved clear at the top of the Belgian league. They were unlucky to lose in the Champions League qualifier against Liverpool when they actually outplayed the Pool for most of the game before losing a late goal deep into extra time. Everton don't look at all strong at the back and away from home and 6/4 for a home win looks terrific value.

And when knowing that the homesides defence has been somewhat rusty these days I can see the danes at least het a goal or two. This one is crucial for both teams wanting to stay in Europe and the teams will give what they got to get through. Rosenborg is in brilliant shape in their home league, notching four wins in the last six, and they have been especially good at home, playing creative footy and getting to chances every match. They have a full squad to pick from, only back-up goalie Lund Hansen is out injured. Another advantage the norwegians have is the knowledge from coach Hamren, who led Aalborg to the title in the danish league last season. The visitors will come to Lerkendal with an offensive attitude as mentioned. Squad-wise only striker Madsen is out, but there is replacements for him. Probably line up with a defensive 4-5-1 with King back tonight to improve their defence. Was thinking of Wisla with Corluka and Pavluvychenko cup tied but have decided against it due to Ramo's 'magic touch' in this competition and looking and the line ups the spurs side will still be at least two levels above this polish team. I'm looking at backing standard leige heavily as Everton have started the season very poorly (don't take into consideration their 'good' away record as this was against the three promoted sides in the league). Standard conceded only their first home goal at the weekend but this was against their strongest rivals Anderlecht which they overcame 2-1. Their manager has came out and said this match is by far more important and he would throw away them points for a win tonight. They've won every home game and seem very strong. Watched them against Liverpool and they were VERY good, a very fit team always pressing Liverpool into mistakes with their only trouble being finishing. Everton went and bought their 'best' player after this match but he has been less than impressive so far and is cup tied tonight anyway. In the home match Standard were unlucky not to come away with a win which was again due to some poor finishing. Can see them having plenty of chances tonight as the Everton defence has been VERY poor as of late. Would like an opinion of someone who has seen Standard play week in week out please?

UEFA Cup - ( 30-02 10 2009 ) HI, hmmmm not so sure about everton...Standard seem to be causing a lot of trouble for the english sides.. remember that liverpool only just managed to beat them in extra time. They have sold Fellaini since then to everton but this is still a tough one to call. FK Partizan are my favourites. They have been playing really well lately and a HW is almost sure to happen! Of all the games on tonight this has got to be one of the favourites. In the first match they completely outclassed Politehnika Timisoara away from home and although the game ended 1:2 it could have easily been 1:3 or 1:4. They are a much better squad than the guests. Also keep in mind that Partizan only just barely lost Fenerbahce in the 3rd stage of champions league qualifying..2:2 in Belgrade and 2:1 in Turkey. Some might even say they actually deserved to go through but were punished by some controversial refereeing. They had 2 goals disallowed in Turkey and 1 in Belgrade. You do the math. My money will be on Partizan tonight, medium stack at @1.55 and possibly i might just risk it on Artmedia @3.2 at home too as they are no school team and have the ability to beat Braga. :gimme

Re: UEFA Cup - ( 30-02 10 2009 ) As it has been many posts concerning the Liege - Everton match-up, I am quite surprised that none have mentioned the possibillity for a many-goal game. Everton need to score, and have the quality to do it. If they do so, Liege has to go forward, and as mentioned, the Everton defence has not been trustworthy at all so far. In other word for me its value on the overs, and as I see it the price is not the worst, getting above 2.00 in the asian markets...
