UEFA - InterToto Cup - Sunday (Sivasspor-Braga)

Recommended Posts

My pick for today: Sivasspor-Braga: Sivasspor was in the Turkish 2nd division just 3 years ago. They've improved a lot during that time and under 26 years old coach Bulent Uygun. They led the Turkish league last season during 17 of the 34 rounds only to finish 4th 3 points behind giants Besiktas and Fenerbahce (lost some gas torwards the end of the competition). They have the same coach and kept most of the team with playmaker Dagasan and forwards Yidiz and Balili being the stars. They play in an altitude of 1300 meters which also helps them in their home games. Last season they had a home record of 13-1-3, scored 33 goals and conceded 17. Braga has a new coach (Jorge Jesus who moved from Belenenses and is a good coach) but they're still missing some (new) players, are 2 weeks behind on their pre-season preparation when compared to the Turkish team (and that makes a difference at this initial stage). Jorge Jesus teams always put tactics above everything else and make it difficult for the opponent to win but I see a Sivasspor win today. My pick: Sivasspor -0.5AH (Asian Handicap); Good luck! JC

Two ridiculous mistakes by the Turkish keeper give Braga an easy win...it also looks like Braga is getting ready to have a decent season.
