runadrum
Re: Aussie Millions - Runadrum out in 19th for AUD $65,000 Run I,m interested to know, how did you find Andy Black? I find him quite a intriguing person, you mention he gave you some advice with regards shielding your cards. He comes across the times I,ve watched him on telly as a schoolteacher and the players at his table as his pupils! Also remember one time when he was playing the Main Event when he was in tears because the other players at his table would,nt slow play while waiting for a sit-out to return to the table. Once again great result will looking forward to watching it in the near future:ok In my particular case, as I mention, the advice was necessary and I would say as well that it was given in good spirit. Joe Hachem mentioned at the time that it was only a problem if he was looking ! Trying to get the chat going and the request for quicker play in general were I'm sure just to try and make it more interesting for the TV, especially after Ivey and Hachem had departed. He's a strong character and a strong player and I'm sure that he'd be surprised I finished ahead of him, if he even noticed ! Thanks everyone for the kind words re the write-up. Once I got started on it I enjoyed it, especially revisiting the whole of this thread. To everyone who took an interest and especially those who lost sleep as a result a big big thank you. :ok
runadrum
Re: Aussie Millions - Runadrum out in 19th for AUD $65,000 When I won the money and requested the bank transfer the exchange rate made 65,000 AUD worth around £28,500 :D Today the currency converter website I use says it would be now be worth £29,944 :( But guess what, the money hasn't come through yet so I've rung the casino and they haven't been able to arrange the transfer yet :nana when you're on a roll ........ :rollin one unpleasant thought, they might have converted it to sterling already (which we requested) and are sitting on £28,500 rather than 65,000 AUD :\ No, I've just checked, they are sitting on 65,000 AUD :drums less the cost of two phonecalls to oz ;) edit - these exchange rates are driving me crazy. I need the rate to be what we would consider rubbish, don't I, 'cos the transfer is in the opposite direction ! :hope
