Seen2001
Paul Nicholls - Chepstow (1996-97+) TOTAL RUNS 235 runs 74 wins (31.49%) +32.45 LSP +13.81% ROI Impressive stats - backing all of Nicholl's runners blindly here since the 1996-97 season would have reaped a LSP of +32.45. However, the stats are even more impressive if we split them into SP (starting price) groups.... SP <8/1 180 runs 73 wins (40.56%) +76.45 LSP +42.47% ROI SP 8/1+ 55 runs 1 wins (1.82%) -44.00 LSP -80.00% ROI A massive difference in results, an incredible return on investment (ROI) of +42.47% backing blindly his runners which are sent off shorter than 8/1, yet just one winner (at 10/1) from 55 runners from the longer priced group. The finest day was on the 24th of Oct 2001, when all 4 of his runners at Chepstow that day were returned shorter than 8/1, and they all won.... PERCOLATOR WON 6/1 IVANOPH WON 4/1 GALAPIAT DU MESNIL WON 5/2 STENNIKOV WON 7/4 .....resulting in a nice 336/1 4-timer. On Saturday, Nicholls sends these horses to Chepstow (fc price in brackets)..... 2.05 - IT'S BEYOND BELIEF (15/2) 2.35 - HARAPOUR (7/2) 3.45 - EAST LAWYER (7/1)

Tulenos
Re: Trainer stats Thanks a lot, Seen, as I am a keen place-only backer and the above should be about and over evens to do the job tomorrow. We'll see.

Seen2001
Re: Trainer stats I'm going to back these to 1pt level stakes. Looks like 2 qualifiers today, ITS BEYOND BELIEF is trading at 22.0 on BF so is not likely to start at shorter than 8/1, but both HARAPOUR (5.3) and EAST LAWYER (7.0) probably will.
