Guest CampbellMoney
Great call on the 1st! Nice one Jack. I use BETHILO when i dont fancy a horse to win as ive got quite a lot of money tied up in there at the moment so that gave me a nice profit. I'll be following your tips for the rest of the afternoon as well so heres hoping!

waynemcke
Re: thursday 5th Hiya Jack. Great stuff in Feb. Guess the downside to this system is one loser at it stuffs the bank as Jan showed. Noticed a few of your runners have been finishing 2nd or 3rd at big prices too. Must make you sweat this system! :)
Guest CampbellMoney
??? Jack where do you place these lay bets? Is it betfair?
Guest jackg99
waynemcke/campbellmoney wayne you will get loaing days but the loss is not too bad in january using my new staking you had 19 winning days and 8 losing days and still came up with a profit of over 200pts using 2/3/4 the strike rate was 93% also depending on the odds you can now have a winning day with a loser last sat we had 9 wins and 3 losers normaly that would have been a loss of quite a few quid but we only lost 8.69 pts so hopefully this staking will do the job and will increase slowly as the profits hopefully increase CampbellMoney yes i'm using betfair the odds quoted are the ones i took when putting the bets on i do it as early as i can so the rest of the day is my own

waynemcke
Re: waynemcke Excellent! I think your horse selection process is spot on, it's just how you stake to maximise the profits. Keep at it fella as it's been a bloody good thread to follow. Good luck

Guest dasaint 10
Stakes Whats your maximum confidence in terms of points? Is it 10pts, 5pts? Or 4pts? What percentage of your bank are you risking when laying at betfair? Excellent picks by the way.:clap :clap :clap
Seen2001
Re: Stakes Without wanting to come across as criticising Jack and his lays, I think it's only right to show the potential risks in laying horses at such high odds. The 100% strike rate and profit of almost 60 points for this month so far may be impressive reading on its own, but if we add up the total amount of points which have been layed out to win those 60pts, we see things in perspective. In just 4 days, a total of 935 points have been staked to win those 60 points. That's an average of almost 234 points outlay per day. So, if your stake per point is 10p, you'd have risked £93.50 to win £6. As I said, this is NOT a criticism of Jack or his lays, but it's just a warning to anyone just how volatile it is laying at big odds. DeepBlueDevilFish
Re: friday 6th Have to agree with Seen. I've actually given up laying horses it was just too damn volatile. I actually went almost 3 months laying without encountering a winner and thought I'd found the Golden Goose but over the next month I got completely wiped out. Hit three winners/ losers on one particularly bad Saturday :eek Don't want to put a dampener on Jack's good run, just thought a cautionary tale was appropriate. Good luck anyway Jack. Guest jackg99
losses he could have a valid point the loss was 45.49pts looking back in dec the profit using the 2/3/4 pt stakes was196pts the biggest loss that month was 77.6 pts in jan the profit was 206pts with daily losses of 49/21/22/33 so 45 is not out of the ordinary and we are still 34pts to the good so nothing to worry about yet
DeepBlueDevilFish
Re: losses Jack - don't know if you can tell from your stats but are Saturday's much riskier than any other day ? During my laying days I always got the impression that Saturday's were bad. Lots of very competitive races with some strange results. Exactly what you don't want when you're laying horses. You could think about giving Saturday's a miss if you agree.
