Re: Bowles Flat Racing thread 2007 Unlucky today, Rob. But overall, bloody excellent going. I work it out to be +28.57% yield which is superb. 'Professional gamblers' (you pay money for their tips!!!) work on making 10-15% yield max.....Rob is double those figures:clap

Re: Bowles Flat Racing thread 2007 Bets 28 Wins/places 12 Staked 280pts Returned 360pts P/L +80pts on a losing streak of 5. Friday - York 4.35 CASHEL MEAD 5pts ew @ SP On soft going this horses reads 6 wins from 7 starts, thats amazing stats for a horse that has ran 61 times with 13 wins. The trends for this race favour those under 9st 3lb so the weight looks about right & the horse normally needs a few runs before hitting form.

Re: Bowles Flat Racing thread 2007 York was called off Today - not much pre-ascot talent on show This is probably gonna cost me money all season but when it runs at Bath, you have to catch it. 5.05 Bath SUMMER RECLUSE 5pts ew @ 22/1 Skybet 2 course wins from 7 starts here, but it always seems to be a shade unlucky. Has to be held up & will come late so will need the gaps. Now back to a winning mark. 2.25 Sandown PARTNERS IN JAZZ 10pts win @ SP Looks a solid bet today after an excellent run last time at Ascot. Top weight but deserves to be & handles the ground.

Re: Bowles Flat Racing thread 2007 Tuesday Ascot 4.55 SOM TALA & MCELDOWNEY both fit the profile of this race & both are backable EW. Trainers Channon & Johnston have both won this race in recent years & will know how to prepare their horses. 3.05 DANDYMAN was one of my horses to follow & i cant desert him just yet. 9/1 in the betting but Bet365 are offering 9/2 without the aussies which looks value to me. SOM TALA 5pts ew @ 8/1 VC Bet McELDOWNEY 5pts ew @ 20/1 Bet365 DANDYMAN 10pts win @ 9/2 Bet365 (without the aussies special bet!)

Re: Bowles Flat Racing thread 2007 today 30pts staked, 70pts returned (the dandyman bet came off which was great to see!). Som Tala was unlucky too. Bets 32 Wins/places 14 Staked 320pts Returned 430pts P/L +110pts Wednesday 4.20 Pride of Nation 5pts ew @ 7/1 Bet365 Touted this for this race since i saw it run at York when an eye catching 3rd. Disappointed that Mackay isnt riding in favour of Cumani's other horse. Durcan is able sub & out of stall 27, it has a chance if todays draw bias remains. 5.30 Alderney 5pts ew @ 25/1 Ladbrokes Looked a promising 2yo when winning 1st time up & then 5th in the cherry hinton to the smart Sander Camillo last year. Raced only over 6f this term but bred to stay further. This price looks a bit of value. 5.30 Graduation 5pts ew @ 14/1 Bet365 Ran well at York in May & although stable has been quiet, they are always capable of an Ascot winner so i will happily have a bit ew in an open race. Like my other selection, the horse isnt carrying much weight which fits the profile for this race.

Re: Bowles Flat Racing thread 2007 -20pts today with PoN a NR in the Hunt cup (pity cos my inside info tip Royal oath won & i would have swapped it over!) Bets 34 Wins/places 14 Staked 340pts Returned 430pts P/L +90pts Thursday 4.20 Buccellati 5pts ew @ 16/1 Skybet Was unlucky at Epsom after getting so far behind on Derby day but finished well to get 4th. Will fare better on this track & return to 1m should not be a problem. 5.30 Swiss Act 5pts ew @ 20/1 Paddy power Johnston has won this race 3 times in last 5 years & this horse ran last in the Swiss Derby where it dint have the best of times & that run can be ignored.

Re: Bowles Flat Racing thread 2007 -20pts today, neither ran well. some more for tomorrow 5.30 Pride of Nation 10pts win @ 7/1 Blue sq I love this animal, it needs easier ground & if the rains come it might just be right for it. Drawn well on the far side should be able to cope with the return to 7f. 3.05 Salford Mill 10pts win @ 9/2 Stan james That price looks a steal after this horses respectable 6th in the Derby. Has Lucarno in the field again but i feel confident Salford can reverse those placings. Classic Punch & Indian Trail both ew for small money but not enough to waste my 10pt bets on :ok

Re: Bowles Flat Racing thread 2007 another poor showing from 2 horses who should have run better. PoN was 6th but not good enough. Todays bets 2.40 Newmarket CORNUS 5pts ew @ 11/1 Betfred Has run well here before & ran well enough at Thirsk during the week to quickly return in a competitive sprint. Likes a bit of cut so hopefully the rain has got into the track a bit. 4.25 Ascot SOMETHING 5pts ew @ 14/1 Betdirect Shrewd trainer Mills will have laid out this one for this big sprint. Eye catching when backed on re-appearance at Windsor. 3.45 Ascot BYGONE DAYS 5pts ew @ 25/1 Sporting odds Offering this price against a Goldophin horse with dettori up is asking for it to be backed. Not a Group 1 horse, but capable of running a true race & could well be placed. Summer recluse is in the 8.30 at Lingfield & has become my sponsored horse for the seaon in terms of knowing it can win & it will at some point, 4lb lower than last winning mark. Wont waste 10pts on it, but will be backing it! Wi Dud is in the Golden Jubilee & is my insdie info tip for today. At 50/1 its worth a small EW & with Kinane up on baord, that will help. 3yo's have a shocking record though!

Re: Bowles Flat Racing thread 2007

Rob, I'll be cheering these home for you today, mate. Quite a few bets, so could be a good day:hope
didnt think i'd get that many on this ground. Just shows you when you have so many competitive races on 1 day! 1 winner will do to be honest, but hoping for a couple at least!

Re: Bowles Flat Racing thread 2007 last weekend was a bit of nightmare with no return which puts me in the RED for the 1st time in a while Bets 47 Wins/places 15 Staked 470pts Returned 452.5pts P/L -17.5pts sandown card today 2.05 CASHEL MEAD 5pts ew @ 6/1 Bluesq Horse goes well on soft, i tipped it up last week at Chester which proved to be an error as its style of racing (hold up) not suited by that fast track. Should get its race today but will have to come through gaps to win. 4.25 BEFORE YOU GO 5pts ew @ 16/1 Bet365 won a derby trial last May, & then was outclassed in the race itself. This is its seasonal re-appearance & trainer Mills has a knack of producing a sandown winner with a 19% SR here & 24% for 4yo's+ 3.50 TAM LIN 10pts LAY @ 3.95 Betfair Has an unusual head carriage & can swish tail. Didnt perform here at the Brigadier Gerard stakeds back in May, doubtful on the ground & a very competitive field with 3 or 4 which can win on their day. fancy also Calisto's Quest & Regal Step but will stick with these 3 for the thread.
