Giving a fish 4 cards instead of 2 just gives him twice as many chances to be a fish :loon I wouldn't worry, you played ok (except for the overate AA thing) and there are far bigger idiots in the world of PKR omaha.

What's good in hold'em is often crap in omaha. Ace high straights, flushes, full houses, top sets are all very foldable hands in Omaha. The key is finding people who will call big bets with their flush on a paired board, or people who call their straights on a flush board. At least on PKR ;)

As in HE the value of a hand goes up as the number of players go down. 2 pair is playable but quite foldable. It's best on dry boards.

no don't bother to call unless you are getting pot odds (say 10-1 or more), simply because you make a FH and someone has a better one - low PP are death in Omaha esp if you hit trips on the flop, with so many cards and draws you are struggling turn and river to hit quads against those draws Damo

playing tight whilst you are learning omaha is even more important than in HE IMHO, you hit the 2nd/3rd nut flush against 5 others and think you are minted....... or flop low trips on a str/flush draw board and end up being rivered against all the draws people have. It does take more skill to play omaha than HE IMHO, any monkey can shove Aces PF in HE and feel confident aginst one caller, but in omaha unsuited AAxx is really struggling against only one caller (I learnt that the hard way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) good luck:ok Damo ps my HE play got better after playing Omaha, as it made me tighten up and only play good cards/good position as it trained me to fold most hands PF, so when i went back to HE I just carried on doing that

Depends on danglers. Omaha starting hands have 4 cards. 88XX can be thrown away easily but 889Tds is a very playable hand. Frankly I don't really like paired cards. I much prefer suited aces and hands like KQJTs.

Connected cards are generally best. PPs really are only 2 card hands. Hands like 679T or 4567 are much better than JJxx, perhaps not in percentages always but because these hands play themselves pretty easily. Unless you hit trips with your JJ you're not going to win and if the board comes AKJ you can so easily be behind too. Needless to say on paired boards don't chase flushes or straights.
