Re: Betfair poker So.... if I won the WSoP and said I had never invested my own money in poker, would you say that was rubbush too? No but I might say it was rubbish Mr V!! Just jesting mate! :loon This whole $1 to $20,000 has been intriguing debate!! Certainly got me thinking and that's a first! :ok

Re: Betfair poker min is a $1 - max is $5 I buy in for $1.80 - why? well because I need to be able to throw away 2 sets of blinds and still have cash to attcak with - if i min buy in I have 70c to shove AI with and get 3 callers - but $1.50 and I am getting HU most of the time its all about waiting for AA KK QQ JJ 1010 AK and AQ and you get dealt them about one hand in 40 or so (I remeber reading this somewhere on the web) so hopefully after a couple of orbits one of them turns up early and I double up! Damo ps thanks for the support!

just wondering when i step up from the .05/.10c cash tables.......:unsure Rob, what is the maximum/minimum buy in for that level? I can't be bothered re-installing Betfair poker just yet to find out, although your results are certainly inspiring me to!! Good start, keep it up mate! :hope

Re: Betfair poker Not a disaster mate, remember slow and steady wins the race and all that! You're only a dollar and a bit off last nights total, nothing to worry about. I reckon these early rounds are the toughest anyway purely because you have to shove rather than PLAY!! I've started with $110 as a bank and play 20% ($5+50c) STT's on Boss S.Odds. I managed to place in the first game (otherwise it was straight down to $3 games!!) and I'm currently sat at about $123. Next rise up the ladder is long way off.....BUT POSSIBLE!! :hope

Re: Betfair poker thanks Danny for the support well have just logged off after 20 mins play BR is now $51.44 - thats right a $1/min payout - absolute muppets on the 10c tables this afternoon :) easy this game - as Danny says just shove AA or a made flush or trips and watch them all call!!! LOL I could actually step up to the .10/.20c table as min buy in $2 and 5% of my BR is $2.50 (I think tho that I will wait - I like to buy in just above min, so about $3 - $3.50, so I need $70 in the account) Damo

Re: Betfair poker sigh - got up to $60 last night - so up bright and early this morning and decided to step up to the 10c/20c game for a buy in of 5% ($3) lost my first buy in to top pair Q kicker vs top pair K kicker my 2nd buy in went to 10 8o against my KK - he hit a 10 on the flop and wasn't letting go by putting me all in :) lesson learnt - should have stuck to my original plan of $70 before moving up Back to the 05c/10c games Damo

Re: Betfair poker Thanks DC - switched back and got $5 back - so not too bad today :) am going to have a proper bash this afternoon and focus a bit more - I am not dipping my toe into the 20c cash until I have $70, and wont multi them until i have $100 so if you see me playing them, just ask and make sure I haven't tilted ;) Cheers Damo

Maybe it was getting up bright and early that did it mate!!? Seriously though, stick with it, you've come so far, keep playing those muppets at low levels as long as possible! Danny

Re: Betfair poker Nice one Rob, I managed to win back a bit at the cash tables tonight myself. I'm operating the maximum of 5% of bank in any STT/MTT/H2H/Ring table etc and took a break from the STT's - Starting bank was $110 on the 29th December, now around the $140 mark. Hand of the night for me was QQ and a hefty pre-flop raise called by one guy who'd been telling everyone how bad they were... Flop = 339, another raise from me, also called. Now I think I'm in trouble, he may have the 3. The turn comes down it's a J, no help to me so I check, to which he puts the minimum bet in, it's still worth a call I think and well worth it when the river shows up as a Q. Now I'm losing to 33 only, and pot commited. I put another big raise in and the guy goes all in with his remaining chips which is perhaps a sign of desperation or perhaps he does have 33 all along... I call and he shows................yep, 9 4 off Thank you for boosting my bankroll kind sir!

Re: Betfair poker a full HH should be standard on any poker site now good news that it is (hopefully) happening:ok Damo

Just had a phone call from Betfair asking me what I thought of the new sofware. I'm quite happy with it but did mention about hand history. Seems 9/10 people asked have mentioned hand history. The girl then said that the developers are working on it. :ok

Re: Betfair poker had 3 rotten days down to $36.92 I know its variance but when you flop 2 pair and the womble hits his gutshot on the river it hurts when you flop two pair and the villian also has 2 pair on the flop (except his kicker is better) it hurts when QQ runs into AA it hurts when JJ runs into QQ it hurts when you flop a stratight and K flush draw and the turn gives the villian the ace flush to beat your K - it hurts bahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Damo

Re: Betfair poker thanks, a good point very well made - and thats why the support of everyone on here is most important - so you realise you have made $30 not lost $20 :ok and a profit of 1200% to boot! :dude I think I need a break from the 10c for a couple of days - it is really really really tough to play so tight for so long, folding hand after hand after hand, knowing that you can't even afford to make up the SB as it has a massive effect on you cash balance and IS THE WRONG THING TO DO! I must say that this task has really taught me patience - and I think this was my biggest leak previously, I used to call with marginal holdings hoping to hit or limp minor PP hoping to hit trips etc - now I fold virtually every hand and just play really GREAT cards in any position or simply just good cards with position Thanks everyone for all their good wishes Damo

Still a profit of 1200%? Remember that Damo when the hits hurt that your playing with fish money anyway. Chin up. :ok
