Hodgey probably has Sensible Boy trying to steal and feels it's worth a chance. I'm sure if the A J had held up Sensible Boy would've been happy at the call!! Valiant's question of ''Will I get better cards before getting too short-stacked? Doubtful'' stands out for me. Add in the fact that a shortish stack may go all in with a pocket pair 2 to 10 then there are lots of hands you would be ahead against. Avoiding a high pair you just couldn't be that far behind anyway surely? In that situation I would probably make the same move.
