robilaruk
Re: Pop Quiz (part XV) - Call Fold or Shove apologies 10 seater STT - so we are ITM Damo Can you remind us of the type of tournament and prize structure?
Valiant23
Re: Pop Quiz (part XV) - Call Fold or Shove I'd call and see the flop. Chances are that smita will make it plain they have something, and being honest even if they did they should check it down, even if it means risking trebling tito up. AJ
Re: Pop Quiz (part XV) - Call Fold or Shove Call and check to the river, if you trust Smita to do this. You have a good hand, your aim here must be to emlinate tito and move you up a place in the payout structure. Even if Smita wins the hand it's a ok result for you. You're garunteed 2nd place, you'd be behind heads up, but not stupidly and still have a chance to win. If you don't trust Smita to check to the river, push all-in and take a chance. If Smita wins the hand, you get paid out for 2nd, if you win the hand the tournement is yours, if tito wins you're in a pretty even 3 way fight. None of these outcomes are shocking. You're in the money already, and assuming a 50%/30%/20% prize structure, you're all guaranteed 20%, so once you've mentally put that in your pocket you're playing for a 30% first prize and a 10% second prize, so winning the tournament is a lot more important than guaranteeing 2nd place. slapdash
Re: Pop Quiz (part XV) - Call Fold or Shove Shove. I think the chip counts are after the blinds? So you can't get knocked out this hand, but smita can, if he calls? But I'll shove slowly, to give smita as long as possible to consider the implications of calling.
