Mlb 10/5

Colorado Rockies @ St. Louis Cardinals Rockies 2.52 (Pinnacle) 3 units COL: RHP B. Kim (1-0, 3.29) STL: RHP J. Suppan (3-2, 4.46) Just a small bet for the early game for now will add a bet or two later for the night games. I see some value in the road dog here. Colorado has played really well lately and did give a great fight yesterday against Chris Carpenter. A. Pujols saved Cards with a 3-run blast in the 8th inning, but Cards don't have Carpenter on the mound today. Jeff Suppan will get the nod for the Cardinals. He is ok, but imo a little overrated and often quite inconsistent. After horrible start of the season, He has been good winning last 3, but has faced Florida, Washington and Pittsburgh, who are not very strong batting teams. Rockies Korean starter B-H Kim has been quite good this season, starting 2 games after coming of the DL. He has struck out 9 in both of his starts and looks to be in good control of his pitches. He has been tough one for right handed batters in his career and this season they are hitting only .171 off him, so St. Louis might tweak the lineup with some left handed bench guys. Ofcourse, Cardinals are the favorite here, but i feel with these odds Rockies are worth a small play. Colorado has some lively bats and is the best hitting team in NL against right-handed pitchers. They might give Suppan some serious trouble. Also, with the exception of the 3 game series against Florida, Cardinals has had difficulties scoring runs lately. I'm tossing 3 units on this one. Good luck everyone!

Re: Mlb 10/5 One more today. Odds just came out on this game. Los Angeles Angels @ Chicago White Sox Angels 2.17 (Pinnacle) 5 units LAA: RHP Ervin Santana (2-1, 4.84 ERA) CWS: RHP Charlie Haeger (Major League debut) We have a knuckleball style pitcher here, who is starting his 1st Major League game for White Sox in place of injured Jose Contreras. Knuckleballers are not easy for catchers and WSox catcher Pierzynski is not very familiar with him. He was behind the plate for him a little in spring training, which was very bad for Haeger. Haeger has a 3-0 record with a 0.68 ERA for the Triple-A Knights this year, which is impressive, but it's a completely different thing to pitch the first game at Majors. Angels starter Ervin Santana is a good pitcher, and has a plenty of great stuff, especially his killer slider. Last 2 of his starts haven't been the greatest, but he has what it takes to throw a good game. Basically WSox has been playing well and Angels has been slumping, but comparing the players, the batting game of these teams are pretty much equal. That Angels slump is one of the reason for this great price. It all comes down to pitching today and Angels should have a good chance of getting some hits of the rookie. Angels are only 4-11 in last 15 games and really needs to start racking up some wins soon if they wan't to keep up in the AL West race. The talent is surely there, let's see what they can do tonight. Medium stakes for me.
