Previous to that run, he met all sorts of trouble in running & proved that run was meaningless after his narrow verdict over Violette at Redcar, which is great form given the runner-up's excellent performances in Group-race company. 3.45 Newm EDAARA 10pts win @ 6/4 Sporting odds Price is very skinny but the vibes are excellent for this animal as this is the talking horse from last season. Just caught in last strides over 1m at Newmarket on last start last year. This is only a maiden & the horse is potentially Group class. 4.20 Newm VISIONIST 5pts ew @ 11/2 Stan James was Pat eddery's first winner as a trainer & looked one to follow when winning well at kempton. 3.55 Beverley FAST HEART 5pts ew @ 9/1 Stan James have to get a high draw at Bev over 5f. The selection is in 10 of 13. With a couple of experienced sprinters also drawn high. hasnt won for a while but this is a drop in class & with the high draw should be placed at the very least.

Re: Bowles Flat Racing bets 2006 I've also had a bit the Pat eddery Horse 'Visonist' . Remember the race at Kempton from a few weeks back and won really cosily in what looked fairly decent race. Goeas up in weights now buts looks to have enough scope to go on from that. Only doubt for is previous form on this track!

Re: Bowles Flat Racing bets 2006 4.20 Visionist is a NR, so will take a bet on this one instead: ZOHAR 5pts ew @ 25/1 Bet365 ran well on last start last season at Sandown when a close 3rd to walkonthewildside. 1st time out this season, but the 25/1 looks too big & drawn well.

Decent time 1st time out, a repeat should see it win against these rivals. 2.35 ANGUS NEWZ 10pts to place 3.45 Betfair the low draw puts me off a win bet, but open to further improvement, can go close again. Has a decent record with 66% of its runs resulting in a place or win 12r-4w-4pl. 3.10 METROPOLITAIN MAN 10pts to place 3.55 Betfair In my notebook as going well on the gallop reports. Missed the European Free for this & although maybe not in the class of the favourites, will be extremely fit & can certainly be placed as will be running on. 4.55 QUINCE 5pts ew @ 50/1 Stan James Never raced in this class before but won 3 times last September over 7f / 8f. Steps up in trip today & just looks a bit overpriced at 50's. Ripon 5.35 DORN DANCER 10pts win @ 7/1 Sp odds could well go in again off this weight, only off 64 with this penalty, but was rated as high as 83 as a juvenile. Capable of winning a few off this mark. Not entirely happy with the middle draw but we will see.

Re: Bowles Flat Racing bets 2006 todays bets 3.35 Thirsk PARKVIEW LOVE 5pts ew @ 14/1 bet365 Not entirely happy with the draw but this is a front runners course & if the horse gets out of the stalls ok can take a nice lead & will take some pegging back. 4.10 Thirsk BILLY ONE PUNCH 5pts ew @ 25/1 Ladbrokes RFO trainer interview this week, the trainer highlighted this as his handicap horse to follow. He thinks its on a lenient mark & advises it is fit to run a good race today. The price is too big to avoid. 3.15 Newbury GREEN MANALISHI 5pts ew @ 9/1 Bet365 always needs a few runs to get into its stride but has won here before over C/D & is top on speed figures. Should go well today. 5.25 Newbury DRAGON DANCER 10pts win @ 4/1 betfred Got in all sorts of trouble at kempton LTO but ran on well to take 3rd. Should be thereabouts today with not much else in the race.

Doesnt want it too fast so the good going should not be a problem as there was some rain earlier in the week. Has won 1st time before so thats a plus. Main worry is Paul Cole's record as he hasnt had a winner for 3 weeks, however this is one of his stable stars & he looks to have found a decent opening for it. It beat the likes of Presto Shinko last year also. 2.10 Newbury FRANK SONATA 10pts win @ 13/2 Bet365 progressed last season into a decent middle distance campaigner & showed it had trained on again with a good victory 1st time out over 1m 6f. back over favoured distance today of 1m 4f. likes the easier surface but the ground should not be a problem. 2.40 Newbury ACE OF HEARTS 10pts place @ 4.2 Betfair These odds were taken last night, Wall's horses are running well, i have doubts over the low draw as sometimes high is favoured on the Newbury straight. However, the horse won 3 times last season & bounces off fast ground. A very difficult handicap, this is just a tentative selection. 4.20 Newbury ESTRELLE 5pts e/w @ 16/1 ladbrokes In the notebook for this season following some decent gallop reports. Will follow so just e/w on this today.

Reasoning	this horse needs strong handling, jockey today Dwyer is excellent at getting a horse to play to its strengths, idf it can reproduce the form of its 2nd to treasure cay last seaosn, then it should be thereabouts today. Speed rating is excellent.

Last weeks trip over 7f was probably a bit too short for it & todays trip could be just too far although interesting that he has gone for the 10f trip. The form of its 2nd behind Momtic at the derby mtg last june would outclass these rivals.

Re: Bowles Flat Racing bets 2006 neither troubled the judge tonight tomorrow (tuesday) 4.00 Southwell BORDER MUSIC 10pts win @ 1.95 Betfair looked to be a horse to follow when beating presto shinko last time out over 6f in a conditions class 3 event. This race is a class 4 over 7f but the horse already has 3 of its 6 career wins over 7f & off a mark of 79 looks to have got in lightly considering it has reached 102 on the AW.

Re: Bowles Flat Racing bets 2006 An acquaintance's sister owns a share in Border Music. Appparently the horse doesn't like the turf and if pressed prefers 6 furlongs to 7. Dettori was expected to squeeze an extra furlong out of it today in the absence of the injured Dwyer. I do wish I knew this before my failry hefty (for me!) bet. Border Music's stats seem to back this up: No wins from 19 on turf (just 2 seconds and 5 thirds), yet 6 wins from 8 on the A/W, despite a 6lb drop in the weights today.

Dettori is a showman now & that always concerns me. its record over 7f is decent & was on such a low mark, that it warranted favouritism, looking at Traf's stats, you could easily have laid it though.

Re: Bowles Flat Racing bets 2006 1.50 Epsom - going for 2 horses who like this track & distance CAPE ROYAL 5pts ew PLATEAU 5pts ew pretty sure both will be in the shakeup. If CR leads, it will take some pegging back but it only just gets this 5f with an uphill finish so it will be close at the death. CR is also drawn well in a higher stall. Plateau is ahead on times & will run well. 2.55 Epsom this is between RED RACKETEER & TENDER FALCON, the latter has a 2/3 strike rate here & won this race last year. not sure which will win but will have a 5pts reverse forecast. 3.30 Epsom Impeller only wins after Jul each year (?) however will take an EW bet on DIVINE GIFT who should like this track based on its run at Chester last season when finishing ahead of Blue Monday 5pts ew All SP

i had the same feeling, if spencer was on Desert Lord, then i would have seriously considered it as it won well LTO. Epsom is a specialist track & i wouldnt be gambling money on inexperienced riders. :ok

Needed to be in front there to win as the winner was never going to get caught in front. Very disappointed although covered EW.

Re: Bowles Flat Racing bets 2006 Thursdays selections (sorry not around to get the EP's tomorrow) 3.20 Beverley DAME HESTER 10pts win @ SP ran 4th behind Levera in a 17 runner race at newmarket last week. This 7.5F trip should be ideal in a much smaller field. 2.50 Beverley WESTCOURT DREAM 5pts ew @ SP the horse likes to lead & is well rated on time figures here. Has won here before also which is a plus. Goes well fresh after finishing placed 1st time out in last 2 seasons. 7.40 Southwell SEDGE 5pts ew @ SP The race hopefully will suit this horse from Paul Midgley stable, coming down the weights now which makes this an attractive bet here over favoured trip. Needs a fast pace to run behind & then will run on last 2f to get into the money!
