Re: Tennis: The value in Qualifiers

Do you never use Betfair Mr I? I've been backing your tips recently and found best odds on Betfair in 16 out of 26. Also got lucky with Almagro as they settled him as a winner after Acasuso retired after 1st set.
Hi Highlander:ok. Yeah I do but I try to get these on as soon as I can especially with some of the 1st round matches being put up late - so there is usually about £5 liquidity whenever I look on Betfair so it's not exactly an indicative price to put up. Yeah if I'd had a 1 set rule bookie for Almagro the weeks figures would have looked a lot better:(. Glad you're following and let's hope they keep doing the business:D.

Re: Tennis: The value in Qualifiers I remember reading this article about how to a level stake the qualifiers have made a profit over 5 or 8 years. It also showed other sports...Rugby League for example. over the last 5 years backing the home team with the handicapp has also shown a consistent profit. I am starting to ramble now. Still good work though Mr I!!!

Also got an awful performance from Kunitsyn against one of the worst players in the draw. Also Llodra as a strong favourite really fell apart after taking the first set. Still, an almost 18% is not too bad, especially after nearly 100 bets:ok. A little break coming up now as it's Davis Cup next week (you guys know I love Davis Cup:tongue2) then we hit the dirt:cow

Re: Tennis: The value in Qualifiers

Wasn't Henmans conqueror a qualifier?:unsure
Yeah that was Greul. I only back them for the first 2 rounds, after that I think they're playing guys who are used to the conditions and should be playing pretty well, so the edge has gone. Also the qualifiers will have already won 4 matches so they may be getting a little fatigued and feel they're done well enough for the week. It's pretty rare I feel that a qualifier will get much further and even if they do the bookies will have realised that they're playing well and price them better. Also missed Greul in the first round against Srichaphan because of my "nothing over 5.00" rule:wall

Re: Tennis: The value in Qualifiers

ASCIONE v Ferrer 7.0 FRAILE v Phau 2.12 ALMAGRO v Ferrero 3.4 PORTAS v Volandri 2.02 Betfair prices at 00.30
I love you traf:notworthy :notworthy :notworthy. Will use those prices for the Valencia matches. Wouldn't take Ascione as the price is above 5.00 even though he won after Ferrer retired at the end of the 1st set:loon :loon
Good luck this week Mr I. One of my favourite threads this one, long may it continue to prosper.:ok
Cheers mate:ok
