Hodgey
Re: Rant Alert I get the impression from various threads that Sporting Odds players call anything. Would I be right in this assumption? And if so, is it worth playing in their freeroll today?
Valiant23
Re: Rant Alert Hmm.... You see Hodgey there are some decent players on there as well, but I'd say most PLers stand a decent chance of getting to the money in the Safety Net ($250 freeroll) on a regular basis. Then there is the Dollar Up with $500 added, but Philossify or TQM have a monopoly on that one, although they allow us mortals to play for the minor placings.;) I've got to try and be serious here, because here is an alternative point of view. I think that we all can suffer from the ridiculous bad beats on sporting odds, but personally (and this is no slur on those who higlight these problems) I have learnt to accept them if I am going to want to play there - which I do. I've taken the view that as frustrating as they are at the time, in the long run good play with good cards will profit in the long run. By allowing these muppets to get under my skin I am inhibiting my development as a poker player. Give it a go Hodgey.:ok
^Newbie^
Re: Rant Alert well , my take is that , if they want to call in this manner . Let them call . More often than not , they'll pay for it . Sad to say , you'll rarely not see this happening in cash games . In freerolls , if they want to play in this manner , i dun think we can stop them from hitting the calling button ? I know that a silly move like them doing it tends to destroy your own game up but that is a risk you have to take ? Besides , its only a freeroll . I have faced numerous occasions on such scenarios before myself . I can only say , i'll move on with the next freeroll . Hope i'm not too naggy here lol . :)
