Re: Placepot at Goodwood Tues

No New Seeker Bowles real tough horse will take some beating.
i am not convinced New Seeker will act on the track, the horse is very good on flat tracks like Newbury / York / ascot but Goodwood is a bit different. Funnily enough the horse has never ran there before.

Re: PLACEPOTS - today at newmarket Fook it lets keep it in here. tips for tomorrow. just copied from placepot tipster: NEWMARKET - SEPTEMBER 30TH 1.05 There is no history to this race, though you will not hear me crying about the scenario, as Murfreesboro scored for yours truly on Thursday in a similar situation. Sir Michael Stoute saddled NOTNOWCATO, and it's interesting to note that although the three-year-old was beaten fair and square the other day here at Newmarket, that race was run over seven furlongs, whereas this trip is over the mile. It should also be reported that the course and distance winner was Michael's only five-day declaration for this event. Others to consider overnight include LIAKOURA, LITERATIM and HABANERO. Conclusion: Henry Cecil's Kris S gelding FOCUS GROUP is very much the dark horse of the race, having won an egg and spoon race at Redcar well over a year ago at the first time of asking. Prince Abdulla's raider has not been seen since. 1.35 Four-year-olds have won three of the last four renewals, whilst the 16/1 winner last year (Private Charter) halted a run of four consecutive winning favourites. The Godolphin (two placed horses via four raiders of late) representative INTO THE DARK lost little in defeat when beaten by a rejuvenated Compton Bolter at Newbury on his return, and the Rainbow Quest raider might go one better over this slightly longer trip. Barney Curley throws a spanner into the works via four-year-old EL TIGER who could be anything, whilst John Dunlop (has saddled a winner and placed horse in this event in the last ten years) has given the green light for his three-year-old MUNSEF to represent the stable. Conclusion: DEFINING is also in the overnight mix. 2.05 Three-year-olds have won three of the last five renewals, though all of them carried 8-11 or more. The juniors all carry 8-10 on this occasion, the best of which might be the Michael Stoute trio of ROB ROY, HOME AFFAIRS and the once-raced TOMOOHAT. Only a 6/1 chance for the 2,000 Guineas back in the spring, the one time Derby hope ROB ROY will be supported once again I guess, whilst fellow beaten favourite HOME AFFAIRS is also attempting a return to earlier form. The Danzig filly TOMOOHAT had decent types in arrears (Teeba, Tucker and Munsef) when winning on soft ground at this venue last year. The really interesting aspect of this race however, is that Kieren Fallon has been booked for Jeremy Noseda's ECONIUM, who was the favourite to win the 'Winter Derby' at Lingfield in March. The ex-champion has not ridden the Sadler's Wells colt to date, so why now, especially as Michael saddled three runners in the race? Conclusion: Although two favourites broke the trend in the middle of the sequence, three of the last five winners of this event scored at 25/1--20/1--16/1. 2.40 Aidan O'Brien has saddled three of the last five winners of this 'Middle Park' and the Irish maestro saddles both IVAN DENISOVICH and ART MUSEUM this time around, and I wouldn't be surprised if there is not too much between them and this stage of their respective careers. 'The Ad Valorum (won this race last year) route is the plan' was Aidan's quote after ART MUSEUM had won his second consecutive race twelve days ago, whilst IVAN DENISOVICH was very impressive when lifting the Group 2 July Stakes on yielding ground here at Newmarket back in the summer. Similar comment applies to RED CLUBS and AMADEUS WOLF who are closely matched according to the form book, though I prefer PRINCE OF LIGHT as the main danger to Aidan's pair. The Fantastic Light colt was a decent winner of a Group 3 event last time out and further improvement is anticipated. Conclusion: IVAN DENISOVICH (requires good ground at worst) is taken to score from ART MUSEUM and PRINCE OF LIGHT. 3.15 Murfreesboro proved that a horse could win form a low draw here on Thursday (drawn 4/30 over six furlongs this race is over seven), and the likes of SEABOW (7), SOPHIST (5), HURRICANE CAT (3) and RIVER BRAVO (1) could all go well over the stands side of the course. This quartet are preferred in the order as written overnight. SEABOW represents Saeed bin Suroor who has won this race twice via five raiders. There would be no more popular winner than ASHES RECLAIMED from over the other side of the track (19). Winning draw details: 2004: 8/24 (Good) 2003: 7/24 (Good to firm) 2002: 10/27 (Good to firm) 2001: 20/21 (Good to soft) 2000: 13/18 (Good) 3.50 Four-year-olds lead the juniors 3-2 via the last five reneals, whilst three of the last four winners have carried weights of 9-0 or more. Andrew Balding's PRINCE OF THEBES qualifies via both sets of stats, and will figure in my toteplacepot perm on Friday. Although he has won over a mile, PRINCE OF THEBES is a seven furlong specialist (has contested nine of his twelve races over this distance), and Martin Dwyer's mount should be there or thereabouts. PANGO ran well to finish third in a hot handicap last weekend and is another consider, whilst John Dunlop's IN THE FAN makes his long awaited comeback. Conclusion: SATSOOF is certainly not out of the equation down towards the foot of the handicap. Any emails I get for tomorrow ill post in here also.
