2024 European Championship Qualifying Predictions > October 12th - 17th

Thank you, @harry_rag! I'm just in denial about the international window happening. Things are desperate for Wales right now to the degree that I don't think we're going to make easy work of Gibraltar! A combination of losing the influential Gareth Bale and Joe Allen to retirement along with Rob Page being completely tactically clueless is killing us. There is hope that we'll try and lure Rob Edwards or Steve Cooper after this campaign but we'll see. Croatia are going to make mince meat of us in the second fixture of the window.

2.75pts Armenia to beat Latvia 10/11 Bet365

Latvia 6 losses in a row now. Not won in 90mins since June 2022. Two of those recent defeats were against Wales, whom Armenia beat 4-2 in June. Armenia had just 1 defeat in the last 5 (against a good Croatia team) and also beat Latvia 2-1 when they were at home. I can see both teams scoring in this because Latvia have done that on the vast majority at home but I think Armenia might nick it 2-1/3-1.

Chytil 4.3 for the Czech Rep. The "bits" enough to persuade me in (easy to back at 3/1 with the bookies). Just shy of a "B" system bet and the main man for them against Albania.

Bet Builders on Spain/Scotland in the BB thread.

France to beat the Netherlands @2.32 is an absolute error imo. Netherlands misses a ton of A-squad players, weak midfield and weak attack now (while defense wasn't great either, certainly not against France in away match). I don't worry about the French defensive absentees, because the Netherlands doesn't have the players to punish it. Maybe focus Netherlands is already on monday when they meet Greece and that match is far more important than this one. France is going to qualify for EC with a win here. I expect nothing else here.

Opstelling Nederland: Verbruggen; Dumfries, Geertruida, Van Dijk, Aké, Hartman; De Roon, Reijnders, Veerman; Weghorst, Simons

Opstelling Frankrijk: Maignan; Clauss, Konaté, L. Hernández, T. Hernández; Tchouameni, Griezmann, Rabiot; Coman, Kolo Muani, Mbappé

This is a going to be a disaster for the Netherlands. I expect 0-3....

and if the Netherlands does win, well that's also okay for me :p

Italy as big as 6/1 now @Zilzalian @black rabbit (further to exchange last night in the racing forum). Got to say that's into "dangling a carrot" territory but I'm not convinced it's any better than fair.

England unbeaten in 12 home Euro qualifiers (obviously many against worse teams than Italy). Italy with some significant absences. No play for me but not the worst bet if you'd rather lose a few quid on it than risk missing out on the upset. Sorry that's not much help. At 7/1 I'd probably say that's too far and have a bet but 6/1 I can just about see why.

Will just check the goalscorer betting when line ups are confirmed. 5/1 about Bellingham has been trimmed a point now. Shame Lads site was down last night as could've got that boosted to 11/2. Not saying he's as likely a scorer for England as he's proving for Madrid this season but 11/2 would be massive in a game where England are such strong favourites.
