Ryder Cup 2023

Recommended Posts

A place for bets, thoughts and musings on the upcoming Ryder Cup at the Marco Simone Golf Club (wasn't he a footballer?) , Rome, Italy.

Interesting player by player write up articles on the Sporting Life website by Ben Coley, which gives each players Ryder Cup records by game type (Fourballs, Foursomes and Singles).

I may have small stakes on the Sunday singles action, other than that, it is a sitback and watch the Sporting action unfold type of event for me.

Best of luck with any bets you may have.

Europe to win by 1 to 3 points at 4/1 with Hills.

Homa clear top US rookie and Aberg clear top European rookie at 13/2 also Hills.

Gives me a fiver freebie to use any time during the comp. I'll be honest, just following a couple of tips at enhanced odds with the added bonus of a freebie. As we all know my golf tipping makes me look like an expert on NFL! :lol

Best of luck Harry. I love following the sport though my golf tipping is.... erm... let's just say 'plenty of room for improvement' lol so you're in good company mate.

Weren't there some sound golfing tips here last years Ryder Cup?

Nope, as it takes place every 2 years! :)

If you look back at the thread from 2021 it was just me and @fd1972uk discussing a few bets so I’d say it’s not necessarily appealing to the golf aficionados from a punting perspective. Have you got any thoughts on it?

My first bets were on Europe, but after the first day where they ran riot I think the prices have gone too far against the USA. Most likely they'll need to win the second day but with the players they have that's certainly possible. With backs against the wall they should come out firing, knowing that it's now or never and whilst I can't see them matching Europe's first day score I can see them getting the most points and that'll set them up to get back into the contest.

36pts USA to win Day 2 Foursomes @ 2.94 Betfair Exchange

9pts USA To Lift The Trophy @ 5.90 Betfair Exchange

21pts USA Outright Winner @ 8.64 Betfair Exchange
