Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund both picked up wins last week and it's Bayern who still top the division by a single point ahead of Dortmund. The battle for the European qualification spots took a big twist with Union Berlin, Freiburg, Bayer Leverkusen, Wolfsburg, Mainz, and Eintracht Frankfurt all suffering defeats last week. The flip side of that being a number of teams looking to avoid relegation to Bundesliga II secured unexpected wins including Schalke who made it back-to-back victories to move out of the drop zone.
