Fader
This has caught me out as it's starting today. Here is what I'll be going with for this unique format, Match-play. Paddypower offer 8 places for this at 1/5th of the price. Unlike many others that only offer 4 places. I'm all about the bigger prices. I can't take short prices in an event like this.1pt e/w Conners to win Matchplay 40/1 paddypower 1pt e/w Min Woo Lee to win Matchplay 50/1 paddypower --------------------------------------------------------- 0.5pts e/w Horschel to win Matchplay 66/1 paddypower 0.5pts e/w Kisner to win Matchplay 66/1 paddypower 0.5pts e/w Kirk to win Matchplay 66/1 paddypower 0.5pts e/w A.Scott to win Matchplay 80/1 paddypower Johnrobertson, MinellaWorksop and fd1972uk
Fader
2.5pts Min Woo Lee to win Group 11 13/5 paddypower 2pts Fox to win Group 7 3/1 paddypower 2pts Hatton to win Group 14 5/4 paddypower 2pts D.McCarthy to win Group 3 11/4 paddypower 0.5pts 4-fold on the above 120/1 paddypower MinellaWorksop, fd1972uk and Johnrobertson
Fader
one I'm still trying to decide on is going with Hatton. Hatton looks to be close to hitting one and I think he makes the last 8 atleast] 1pt e/w 22/1 Hatton bet365 (4 places) fd1972uk, Johnrobertson and MinellaWorksop
Torque
Not long until this gets started and I've had a look at the groups. Looks like there's plenty of value to be had going against the favourites, so I'm taking all of the below with prices from 365, Boyles, Victor and Betfair Sportsbook. Just a few winners needed for profit. 5pts Noren to win Group 1 @ 6.50 50pts English to win Group 7 @ 4.50 15pts Putnam to win Group 7 @ 4.50 25pts Kim to win Group 8 @ 4.00 15pts Bezuidenhout to win Group 10 @ 5.00 15pts Montgomery to win Group 12 @ 4.33 5pts Hughes to win Group 12 @ 6.00 10pts Hadwin to win Group 13 @ 4.00 25pts Henley to win Group 14 @ 4.00 15pts Straka to win Group 15 @ 5.00 Johnrobertson, MinellaWorksop and fd1972uk
fd1972uk
Never knew it had started, don't like the format, so looks no golf this week. Good luck. Torque
Fader
rather annoyed that nothing was said about Hattons wrist/hand injury that he blatantly has.

Also I recall he had surgery on one of his wrists a few years ago, then come back and built his form back up to win at Wentworth. So if this is the same injury, like you rightly say, should be at least mentioned in pre tournament press conferences etc. Least that way, the information is out there and then it's up to each individual whether to proceed with backing him or not. Only thing about that is I doubt Hatton is thinking about people betting on him when it comes to statements about how healthy he is or isn't, much like all the other players. At the end of the day, from their perspective it makes sense to play down injuries if acknowledging them at all. The way I see it, unless an injury is known about which is sometimes the case, there'll be times where an injury helps you as a punter and others where it stiches you up. There's no way around it so better to just accept it and trust that in the long run, bad luck about an injury will even itself out with some good. Fader
Hopefully it's not too serious. His opponent is playing well to be fair. Doesn't seem to be bothering him as much as it was in the first couple holes. Fingers crossed he can get it back to tie atleast. fd1972uk
Busy at work so wasn't intending to put any golf on, but eneded up on a few just as it was starting. Hopefully read the t&Cs right with betuk but should open up a couple of free bets. Bet on Scheffler and Finau and also Cantlay, outrights. Fader
don't see anybody but Scheffler the way he's playing. No value at all though for me Torque

A couple of close ones went against me and that was the difference between profit and loss.
Fader
I thought Conners was very unlucky. Of what's left, I wouldn't want to be in the Scheffler half so whilst I have Horschel it looks like Cam Young at 10/1 looks a good bet. Today I think Kitayama beats Putnam. Also wouldn't shock me if Herbert beats Rory. 2.5pts Herbert to beat Rory 8/5 paddypower 1pt 4 fold - Homa, cantlay, kitayama and Herbert 10.5/1 paddypower (money back if one loses) vikki37
Torque
In the outrights the value once again looks like being away from the top of the market. Scheffler looks very strong and is a deserved favourite, but some of the prices further back look wrong to me and so that's where I'll be backing a few players on the exchanges. 3pts Schauffele to win WGC Matchplay @ 12.27 4pts Homa to win WGC Matchplay @ 14.23 3pts Putnam to win WGC Matchplay @ 37.26 2pts Kuchar to win WGC Matchplay @ 35.30 4pts Spaun to win WGC Matchplay @ 39.22 4pts Poston to win WGC Matchplay @ 49.02 Johnrobertson

Only Schauffele advanced - although it was guaranteed someone would go through for me in that tie - and a little unlucky with Kuchar and particularly Poston. Torque
One last punt and that's 15 points on Young to win the whole thing at 5.21 on the exchanges. Regardless of who wins this, I'd say that the whole way through the favourites have been overpriced. fd1972uk
