The previous race went to a progressive newcomer who I'd normally have put up . (That's race reading for you.)

HONG KONG SPRINT SHA TIN 8 AM

The next race is one to watch featuring just five runners including Ryan Moore on Wellington.

Wellington won this race last year without Ryan Moore who has recent winning form on this horse.

It's the hong Kong sprint and in front of Ryan's horse is lucky sweneyse and California spangle both of them short priced and expected locally to prevail.

There is a chance that a tactical ride by Ryan could get Wellington into the frame here.

I'm not going to play but wellington at 6/1 is an each way chance if Ryan can get him going late on.

The other option is wellington win without lucky sweneyse at 7/2 which considering there are only five runners is a massive price ( I'm tempted by that).  Ryan Moore is 1/1 with wellington and the horse has  both winning and losing collaborative form with the principals.

 

Wellingtons price has come into 11/2 but the win without option remains at 7/2 so I'm in and hoping Ryan can either win or get second to lucky sweneyse and hope they can both out run California spangle!!!!

Six winners today and a decent net profit of 23.25 points.  Makes up for Cheltenham

My MTD is now +29.92 and YTD - 65.35.  A good day for me 🙂
