I'd guess so (the alternative being it reverts to a double at the appropriate odds). I don't see him not starting tonight though. I'll check for future reference.

I'm sure there's a check box where you can specify you don't want the bet to stand if the player isn't starting.

I'm familiar with that in the context of single bets on a player but it doesn't appear when doing a bet builder. As I thought, the bet builder is void if any element is voided.

Here’s my lost cause need a red

Always possible but with it being priced at around 5/1 the price seems a bit stingy. Just have to hope it doesn't get shown to either side before they've scored!

I've gone for the easy option of Man City FT, HT, > 1 goal

Also taken the super boost on Haaland > 0.5 shots on target at evens

Well done. What price was that one? 3 out of 3 for me with Haaland both scoring and having the required SoT. Doesn’t look like I qualify for the free bet with 888 but at least it didn’t cost me to find out!

Only 13/8 but £40.63 profit after the boost and £10 profit for the super boost so a good nights work.

A bit of a reminder tonight of the perils of going for btts as well. Definitely something to include selectively for me rather than as a default option. Though, to be fair, I feel similar about winning at half time. Leaving aside any value considerations I favour combinations that can’t be down at the break.

I’m quite enjoying this as an exercise. It’s got me looking at games from a different angle

A winner and a loser since the last update. 8 winners from 19 bets so far.

£380 staked (£20 max per boosted bets), return to initial odds = £473 for a £93 profit with an ROI of 24.47%. Return with winnings boost applied = £551.25 for a £171.25 profit with an ROI of 45.07%.

I assume the returns so far are down more to luck than my inherent brilliance but will do my best to keep the pre-boost returns in the black as the sample size increases!

Real Madrid to win, >1 goal, Benzema to score and >2 cards shown at 12/5

Favoured Benezema goal over SoT at the prices today. Considered the card angle instead of him and ended up going for both given that I'm happier with the price for all 4 rather than either 3.

Intriguing to note that I got a slightly better price for Madrid win and >1 goal in the match than for Madrid win and >1 Madrid goal! Shows there are some quirks in the system.

No idea why I'm allowed £4.14 on this one compared to 20p yesterday.

Best option for me (as I don't get the boost) would be 3.04 for Madrid/>1.5 goals/Benzema >1.5 SoT with Hills.

A winner yesterday so 9 from 20 so far.

£400 staked (£20 max per boosted bets), return to initial odds = £541 for a £141 profit with an ROI of 35.25%. Return with winnings boost applied = £631.25 for a £231.25 profit with an ROI of 57.81%.

Average odds are 3.58 so break even strike rate would be around 28%. One assumes the current 45% might not last in the long term!

Bet elements used so far look like this:

  • Total goals (team or match): 15 (12-3)
  • Team to win: 11 (6-5)
  • Double chance: 6 (4-2)
  • Btts: 5 (5-0)
  • Cards: 7 (7-0)
  • Player to score: 5 (2-3)
  • Player shots/SoT: 10 (6-4)
  • Misc: 2 (1-1)

Apart from the 9 winners there have been 5 each where I got 2 and 1 out of 3 and just the one wipeout.

Man U to win, >1 goal and Antony >1 SoT at 11/4

Antony seems reliable for shots but less so for them being on target and less so again in the net! At the prices I'll chance, in Rashford's absence, he manages a couple on target. Allowed all of 15p on this one, "thank" you very much 365:wall

With Hills I'm on at 5.11 for him to score as opposed to the SoT element. At the bigger price I'll risk the bugger actually managing to get one past the keeper.

Just looking at a site for player stats and had a closer look at Antony. He's had at least 1 SoT in 26 out of 32 games he's started, 2 or more in 11. He's only scored in 7. Maybe the 2+ SoT is the better bet at the prices on offer.
