Yes your right there will have a go tomorrow ?

I have said in the past that my loss percentage goes up after i have had a decent win because for some reason i feel inclined to get a bit giddy and put more on and then after a while of losing i return to sensibility even to the point that when i am on a losing streak i control myself even more. It is only in retrospect that i look back and analyse my loses that it becomes blindingly obvious that i seem to like putting bets on more than i like winning ? I read somewhere that a gambler was asked what the most important aspect of gambling and he replied "winning", he was then asked what his second most important aspect was and he replied "having a bet". ? I don't know if you keep a diary of your bets but if you do you will see how accurate what i just said is. And Okay with lucky 15's we only mess about with £3-£6 but as you know it does add up pretty quickly especially when putting a few on per day. I don't think you needed me to have said all this but it may be helpful to anyone reading these posts who may be new to betting on L15....

I found some old notebooks today of my bets from 1998-2004. I couldn’t figure out why I was staking such odd amounts until I realised it was the last days of tax with the amount differing depending on who you bet with and where they were based!

It was interesting to see what I was betting on back then and who with. Stan James, Bet Direct, William Hill Index among the “dearly departed”. Stan in particular offering such low hanging fruit that it’s no surprise they’re no longer trading. (Betting on footy shirt numbers and not changing the prices when lineups were announced!) There was quite a lot of hay to be made in the early days of firms starting to bet on more peripheral markets in response to the spread firms’ offerings.

I was also doing a fair amount of betting in shops when coupons had some value (100/1 for unquoted scores that were never 100/1 shots).

A bit off topic I know but you can’t beat a bit of reminiscing!

Your talking to a bloke that loves reminiscing, I learnt so much from a very quiet old man (Lenny rest his soul) who always was sat in a corner of a small bookies, I just listening to him reminiscing and giving me indirect advice. So i think maybe now that  i'm the old man and should share some memories and or advice.

I can see why I lost money in those days, 10% tax, no early prices, no BOG, no comparison sites, no exchanges

I won £2.5k in 98, lost £1.7k over the next couple of years then won £560. After that the trail goes cold as I didn’t bother totting up the monthly P/L even though I was recording every bet! Not sure it would be a great use of my time to add it all up now.

I’d be most interested in how I did buying player goal minutes to compare it with my experience these days as a seller.

I also appeared to have been a bit of an arber in the early days of being on BF. That probably explains some of the limits on my older accounts, with me suddenly banging £100 on 33/1 shots instead of the usual fiver or tenner!
