Think we need to scrap the ew because a treble place is more often than not just useless pennies. how about 20p win lucky 15 and a 25p ew acca that way we get full value for the 1 winner double stake bonus and a just in case all 4 place bet. that's how i have been doing it on our 4 selections. we can then drop the 10/1 minimum odds requirement to just no odds on shots and maybe 4/1 and above.

I see your reasoning and have an open mind.

When I do my own lucky 15s I let the selections or rather their prices and extra places drive the ew side.

So today with the lowest price being 22/1 and most of the races being extra places I’d always go ew.  3 placed today would have returned a minimum of £41.73.

But realistically how often will we have them sort of selections? Tomorrows cards look to offer very slim pickings on this front. And do you then get sucked into deliberately looking for horses with higher prices when we all know an even money winner is better than a loser?

I’m happy to go win only with an ew acca but can we then relax the 10/1 minimum price? 7/1 would be break even on the L15 but I’d also be happy with lower prices but probably not less than 3/1.

And I reserve the right to place my own bet however I see fit  - only to be reminded by you guys of how I needed to man up when we have 4 winners at 20/1 plus and I’ve gone ew.

yes i have said above that we can then lower the bar on prices, 7/1 seems a good lower limit as like you say its money back if it is the only winner. i am/was thinking about my own experiences with ew and to be honest because i always halve my stake if i am going ew rather than doubling it i get a bit miffed when my only return is a single winner or 2 winners .  just checked back at my accounts and to be honest going each way would actually cost me money because it basically almost halves my returns,  although the acca would be quite profitable if i bothered doing it which i only do if the prices are big enough. when all said and done we all do it our own way so i am talking specifically about accounting for this experiment. as for manning up Lee is the softie he loves ew and co and its all a bit of friendly banter by me, nothing serious. in reality i am sure lee has got balls like billy the bull 😄😄😄

Just for those who wondered what the BBB stood for in BBBC! 🤣

Tomorrow’s selection for me is 1500 Taunton Quoi de Neuf 20/1 @ bet365 but no extra place

My few other selections for tomorrow were all much lower prices anyway

If @MCLARKE and @LEE-GRAYS are happy with 7/1 plus win only then so am I

Yep I'm happy with any price, I'd rather pick the horse than the price. I usually have a number of selections each day, I'll pick the one nearest to 7/1.

I'm also happy to go win only for this exercise.
