hi Clarkey just a question about adding up.Ihad a 28/1 winner so i had 3.5 points a qtr odds wouuld de 7 points a5th would be5.5 points so i guess i should have 10 or 9.5 points or have i miscalulated and if i have sorry

that is 50p @ 7's  (28/4)

Returns £4

£3 Profit  (£4-£1 stake)

Replace £ with points and you have 3 points profit.

3.53+3 = 6.53

Hi Budgie 65.  Congrats on yet another good win this month.   Now............

Your bet.  There are a few things going on.

15:15 Wolverhampton Horse is Crownthorpe.    Finished 1st @ starting price 13/2

You placed it as "315 wol crownthorpe 8/1 ladbrokes "

 

There was a withdrawn horse so Rule 4 deductions could come into play.  Withdrawn horse = Calonne. 

The price of that withdrawn horse meant there woukl be a 15p * in the £ deduction on your profit.  So you would get 8/1 less 15% profit. = £6.80.  { However I would have thought that the minimum return would be the starting price of Crownthorpe which is 13/2, and no further deduction.  So you would then get plus £6.50 credit.  Your 8/1 less 15% is best; £6.80. ]

 

[BTW - similar logic applies to my EW bet on Crownthrope except I had EW and at 9/1.  So I should get the greater of 9/1 EW less 15% = £4.59, or 13/2 starting price EW = £3.90 with no deduction.  My 9/1 less 15% is best; £4.59.  So my runnu=ing total should read -£2.01]

Apologies. I took 35p instead of 15p for some reason. I will amend in the next table.

I've automated a lot of the process but rule 4s are still a manual adjustment so mistakes may happen.
