I start with a late livebet...

Barry Hawkins/Andrew Pagett under 99.5 points in frame 4 at 2.05 with Unibet

Barry has 3-0 right now as I write and had some problems last frame with Pagetts scoring but if Barry gets into it and scores first he should be able to make it under 99.5 points so no high break and Pagett shouldn't be allowed to score as he did frame 3 when racking up 48 points.

I can now have a look at Snooker again as I'm upto date with the World Cup comp lol

I think I'm going to try my luck with Michael White to beat Hawkins this afternoon. Has won the last 2 head-to-heads between the two and just one 50+ break in that win over Pagett for Bazza. He isn't scoring that great right now and if White plays well then the 6/4 looks big. I'll also go with Perry to beat Dott. Perry has won the last 3 head-to-heads and went out of this in qualification rounds last year. Dott not playing alot recently and hasn't had a great start to the year.

5.5pts J.Perry to beat G.Dott 8/11 paddypower
2pts M.White to beat B.Hawkins 6/4 paddypower
1pt 4-fold - Perry/White/Vafaei + Clarke 11/1 paddypower (money back if one loses)

also will throw out there an outright e/w bet that I've had. Sam Craigie. In brilliant form at the moment and his path would probably consist of Patrick, Anda, Day, Ding and then Robertson to make the final. Obviously not that simple but what I'm saying is he has a nice round until the latter stages and more importantly, his scoring is really good. Made the Quarter Finals of the UK Championship and was 4-2 up against eventual winner, Mark Allen. Believe he's won 8 of his last 9. The other outright I was tempted with was Jack Lisowski. Again, did well at the UK Championship and made the semi-final. Also losing to eventual winner Mark Allen. He was 5-3 up against Allen in a "first to 6" His only downside to the bet is his lack of bottle but once he gets over the line that could change.

1pt e/w Lisowski to win Scottish Open 20/1 bet365
0.5pts e/w S.Craigie to win Scottish Open 66/1 bet365

Tomorrow sees both the outright picks get underway. Lots of matches tomorrow and some big prices chances but I'm just going to take the one single and it's the later match where Jimmy Robertson takes on Mark Williams. I'm going to take Robertson to win that. Williams has had some real poor results recently and Jimmy is on s real purple patch. It's probably the beat chance for Jimmy to finally beat Williams. As Mark has a perfect record against Jimmy with 9 played.

2.5pts J.Robertson to beat M.Williams 8/5 will hill

blimey, Jimmy was atrocious. Williams beat him 4-0 and without even hitting a 50+ break. That's just insane when you look at the recent form. Very odd. As for today, I'll be taking Day to continue his good form. Day has looked good for a couple months now and I think he has the beating of Walden this afternoon. I'll also go with a 4-fold once again with PP. Money back, as usual, if one loses.

5.5pts R.Day to beat R.Walden 10/11 bet365
1.5pts Day, Guodong, Craigie and Joe O'Connor (+1.5 handicap) 10.5/1 paddypower

Watching some of Craigie's match. He's so impetuous, takes on way too many difficult long pots, missing them more often than not. Walden is playing pretty well but he doesn't have to be amazing to win this as he just has to wait for Craigie to miss another difficult long pot, then Walden steps in and cleans up. Frustrating to watch such novice play from Craigie. He gave away that last frame to go 3-1 behind instead of 2-2.

and he just gave up at 3-1 and walked out pretty much. Petulant.

Yeah, that was a strange one - I was actually sitting in the audience(about 10-15 of us, if that!) He'd already been whacking the balls around in the previous frame sending a red off the table. Walden then went for a long toilet break, Sam broke off aggressively spreading the reds but it was a decent break nonetheless as the cue ball made it back to baulk. He was going for everything which obviously let Ricky in who was on a break of 29 when Sam stood up and said he wasn't going to continue despite the ref saying he would get in trouble for conceding at that stage, he shook hands(I think) and walked out! It must've been around midnight and they were the only table left, Hossein had just lost to Gary on the other side of the arena not long before that. He just looked pissed off and had no mood to be there for some reason, maybe he was just feeling tired as he had to wait a long time to play his first match due to how slow the McGill/Donaldson all Scottish clash was. That's the trouble with the roll on/roll off format, he was hanging around for ages waiting for the Theppy/Jones match in the evening as well as that also went 4-3. He probably just got the hump with it happening twice in one day!

Yeah, such a big match for him though. If he won that then he was looking at a real chance in that tournament. When Wilson plays O'Connor in a final you know it's wide open lol. Jealous you were there mate, would have been a good evening of Snooker, that.

It was my local tournament so thought I'd better make an effort! I was only there for about half the week but with 4 tables in one hall you do get to see most of the players. I was a bit surprised it was on the 2nd floor but I suppose they must have the facilities(goods lifts?) to get the tables up there as it would have been tricky using the small passenger lifts. I missed Trump's 147 unfortunately as I'd decided to go in later that day, I did see one of Ronnie's 147s about 20 years ago vs Quinten Hann up in Aberdeen though!
