mattthedon76
Been a customer of Skybet for 22 years, can still remember the first bet placed with them (Arild Stavrum to score first goal for Aberdeen v Dundee United - WON). Logged into my account yesterday to discover they had self-excluded me. Turns out that 10 years when i was in a bad place after losing my job ago i self-excluded from Paddy Power. 2 years ago Skybet and Paddy became members of the same family group and now all of a sudden my self-exclusion from Paddy has been applied to my Skybet account also. Spoke to live chat who advised there was nothing they could do but provided me with a link to a page that stated that the cross-group exclusion policy would be carried our on exclusions from 8th June (no mention of historic exclusions). I was told that even though i was excluded from Skybet it wouldnt' affect my ability to log in to Super 6 etc. Decided to make an official complaint as i feel that their was no reason for them to have to self-exclude me against my will and either i wanted my account reinstated or for them to refund losses since 8th June, as if this was the date the cross group self exclusion was supposed to be implemented (for my own safety apparently) then why would it take them a further 5 months to actually do it. As soon as they received my complaint they then suspended my account which in turn blocked access to Super 6 (and the league i am currently leading and have been part of for 5 years). I know a lot of people have issues with Skybet but i've genuinely not had a bad word to say against them until now. Its a shocking way to treat a customer of 22 years who has spent tens of thousands of pounds with them,
