StefanBB
Milan vs Juventus Milan wants a better result after the 3-0 Champions League loss in their previous game against Chelsea. That was their second defeat in the last five games in all competitions, but the Rossoneri are just three points behind the top-placed Napoli and Atalanta. It has been a rare occasion in recent times where Milan has shown defensive steel. It will be a concern for them that Milan has seen their defense breached in 6 of their previous six clashes, leaking nine goals along the way. They need to be much tighter in the back and should stabilize their form to defend the Serie A title at the end of the campaign. Alexis Saelemaekers (Bruised Knee), Davide Calabria (Hamstring Injury), Zlatan Ibrahimović (Knee Surgery), and Alessandro Florenzi (Hamstring Injury) miss out here. Juventus will go into the match following on from a 3-1 Champions League win to beat Maccabi Haifa in their last fixture. However, the Bianconeri haven’t been convincing in the Serie A, winning just once in the last four rounds. The stats don’t lie, and Juventus have been scored against in 5 of their last six games, seeing opposing sides hit eight goals in total. At the back, Juventus just haven’t been too solid at all. Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri has to contend with a number of unavailable players. Federico Chiesa (Cruciate Ligament Rupture), Kaio Jorge (Patella rupture), and Paul Pogba (Knee Surgery) will miss out on this game. Ángel Di María is ineligible for this match because of suspension. Full-Time Winner Odds & Prediction Juventus has been struggling on the road, failing to win in its three trips in Serie A. Although Milan hasn’t been too consistent lately, we think the hosts are closer to victory in this match. Goals Market Prediction Since neither team has been solid in the back recently, we don’t expect them to keep the clean sheet. Therefore, the crowd at Stadio San Siro should enjoy goals in both nets. StefanBB
Fiorentina vs Lazio Fiorentina will be hoping to bounce back here after the 1-0 Serie A defeat in their last game at the hands of Atalanta. La Viola booked only two wins in the first eight matches, and the home side is far from the continental race. It’s not been often in recent times that Fiorentina has kept a clean sheet. In fact, Fiorentina has seen their defense breached in 5 of their previous six matches, leaking eight goals in the process. They need to stabilize their game to find a way to the top half of the table. Riccardo Sottil (Unknown Injury), Dodô (Disrupted Calf Muscle), and Gaetano Castrovilli (Knee Surgery) are not available for Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Italiano. Lazio will go into this clash after a 4-0 Serie A win with the downing of Spezia in their previous game. It was the visitors’ third straight win that launched them to 6th place. In their previous half-dozen clashes, Lazio has helped themselves to a total of 16 goals. Lazio has additionally got on the scoresheet on each one of those occasions. In that time, they’ve seen nine goals scored by their opponents. Going into this encounter, Lazio is unbeaten in their last six league matches away from home. Mohamed Fares (Cruciate Ligament Rupture), Nicolò Casale (Tear in the abductor muscle), and Marco Bertini (Tear in the abductor muscle) won’t be making appearances. Full-Time Winner Odds & Prediction Lazio has been in a much better momentum, and they go to Firenze full of confidence. Although it’s not going to be easy for them, we believe the Biancocelesti will return home with all three points. Goals Market Prediction Neither team managed to keep the clean sheet in five of their last seven clashes at Stadio Artemio Franchi. Although Fiorentina struggles in front of the opponent’s net, and Lazio is tight in the back, we think both teams will score in this game.
