Benfica o3.25 @2.00
Min price to bet: o3.25 @1.90 or o3.5 @2.15
Model +value: -
Significant team news: -
Note: This line looks by 1/4 hcap too low; Benfica should create enough to score at least 3 on their own here, but we prefer overs to hcap as Maccabi Haifa have shown good quality offensively in qualifiers. While 4-0 at Olympiakos was the highlight of their journey, it is games against Red Star Belgrade in the playoff finals that probably painted a true picture of this team - they qualified after two eventful, chaotic games, but in both legs shown to be very vulnerable in defence, despite not playing too offensively, and they were conceding chances with ease from all situations - open play, set pieces, right, left, centre, slow build up, transition, take your pick - there was no stability and security whatsoever. On the flip side, they are a team that plays without a fear and will use any chances for quick transition, they also have good quality when it comes to set piece taking and long shots, so while we can see them conceding about 6-7 big chances tomorrow, we wouldn't bet on Benfica keeping a clean sheet, it's a fact that Maccabi have scored in all games that mattered this season, and to eliminate Olympiakos and Red Star, and score in all 4 games, is already an achievement. They calculated in 2nd leg v Cypriot champs Apollon, after winning 4-0 in the first leg, so that game should be ignored. Benfica are on a run of 9 straight wins in all comps this season, 14 if you include pre-season friendlies (that were played against some strong opponents like Newcastle, Fulham, Nice), they have scored at least 2 goals in 8/9 and at least 3 in 6/9 (13/14 and 10/14 if we count friendlies); but after keeping 4 clean sheets in a row they have conceded in their last 2 league games against relegation candidates Pacos Ferreira and Vizela. We have mentioned the new era with Rui Costa as president and offensive-minded Roger Schmidt as a head-coach in earlier notes, Benfica behaved as expected in our picks so far this season and we expect nothing different from them tomorrow, it should be high press and high tempo throughout the game on this big UCL stage, as they do not have a big game in the league this weekend (away to Famalicao). Ok weather conditions and good game expected, TG 3.65++ for us here; on 3.25 line this looks like a half-loss at worst.

Celtic vs Real Madrid

Celtic is coming off a comfortable 4:0 win over city rivals Rangers; they have been unstoppable this season, winning seven of seven matches played across two competitions. They now kick off the Champions League campaign with a clash against the defending champions, hoping to continue this streak. The home side is full of confidence, and they will try to pick up valuable points in the fight for a top-two finish in the group. Celtic's big win over Rangers was overshadowed by a couple of injuries that will likely carry into this game. Kyogo Furuhashi and Carl Starfelt both picked up knocks and shouldn't be available to help their teammates to secure a positive result.

Although they have won an incredible five titles as European champions in the last eight years, Real Madrid has been able to make mistakes and misfire in the opening games in the past. They won't have an easy task this time either. It is not in their favor that the team's defense does not look coordinated at the beginning of the season, and against them, there is a team that will be very motivated and has already scored 29 goals in 7 games played. Vinicius Junior is a football magician, he is only 21 years old, has great dribbles, and the opposing defenders have no solution to stop this guy. Owing to a fully injury-free squad available to choose from, the Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti doesn't have any fitness worries at all ahead of this game.

Full-Time Winner Odds & Prediction

Celtic will likely be able to score against this Real Madrid lineup, however, a single goal might not be enough to give them the result they want. Although it won’t be easy for the visitors, we believe they will be able to come out on top of their opponents.

Goals Market Prediction

Both teams have been very efficient in their domestic championships, and we expect them to continue that trend on the continental stage. Therefore, we don’t think either team will keep a clean sheet in this match.

PSG vs Juventus

In a monumental European showdown, French giants Paris Saint Germain host Italy’s most successful team, Juventus. The Parisians have started this season explosively, and they look like a side rejuvenated by Christophe Galtier’s management. They have six wins and a draw in their first seven games of the new campaign and are top of the French League, together with rivals Marseille. PSG has also looked on fire in front of goal, having scored at least three goals in six of their seven games played. The hosts desperately want to win the Champions League, and they want to kick off the new campaign successfully.

Old Lady has once again started the season in a troublesome fashion. Their recent draw against Fiorentina was the third in their last four games, with Juve sitting fifth in the league yet just two points shy of leaders Napoli and Milan. The visitors look increasingly weary of finishing their chances, and a record of just four goals in their last four games proves that. Their record is even worse away from home, where they are winless in their last six, losing three and blanking in three as well. The away side needs to stabilize its game to secure a positive result at Parc des Princes on Tuesday evening.

Full-Time Winner Odds & Prediction

PSG is among the hottest favorites to win the Champions League this season, and although Juventus is a tough opponent, the hosts are firm favorites. We think they will meet the expectations and win by more than one goal.

Goals Market Prediction

The Parisiens have been involved in many high-scoring matches this season, and nine of their last ten games went over a 2.5 margin. This one shouldn’t be much different, and the crowd should enjoy at least three goals in total.

Dinamo Zagreb vs Chelsea

The Champions League group stages start and we have an audacious kick-off time for the first ones with Dinamo Zagreb hosting Chelsea in a 5:45pm BST kick-off from the Stadion Maksimir in Zagreb. This Group E clash is expected to go the way of the away team and with AC Milan and RB Salzburg being the other two teams in this group then anything but a win for the visitors will be considered a disaster for them.

Dinamo Zagreb stormed to the Croatian First Football League title ahead of rivals Hajduk Split and Osijek last season but it took them three head coaches to get there. Current head coach Ante Cacic has been in the role since April and the team have started their domestic campaign brilliantly with 7 wins and 1 draw from their 8 league games played leaving them top of the division. The team won the Croatian Super Cup back in July thanks to a penalty shoot out win against Hajduk Split. Fans of the Premier League will recognise one of their arrivals over the summer as former Norwich striker Josip Drmic. The club had to navigate their way past the likes of Shkupi from North Macedonia, Ludogorets of Bulgaria, and Bodo/Glimt of Norway. Attack could be the best form of defence for the Croatian team having scored 14 goals in their last 4 matches with striker Mislav Orsic bagging 6 goals in 7 games.

Chelsea head into this game knowing that anything less than a win will be frowned upon by their fans. The Blues have had an inconsistent start to their league season with the club in 6th position in the Premier League having won 3, drawn 2, and lost 1 of their league matches so far. Transfer deadline day signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could be in line to make his debut for the club. Experienced centre back Thiago Silva has been left out of the match day squad for this game though. Head coach Thomas Tuchel already has experience of leading Chelsea to the Champions League title back in 2020/21. I still have doubts about whether Tuchel can re-ignite that glory in this squad but this is a perfect opportunity for the team to begin their European campaign with a solid performance and victory.

I think backing a Chelsea win is the logical option here but it's not exactly the best value. Dinamo are clearly a brilliant attacking team having averaged 2 goals per game in the qualifiers for this competition but Chelsea are a behemoth of a club and Tuchel knows exactly how to grind out results on tricky away days. I can see the away team grinding out a victory but they might well experience a scare or two along the way.

I´ve seen some good Potential in some Matches. First is Benfica Game. I expected a close Game - it´s great for Haifa that they will play CL - so they will fight every 6 Games. Think they can make the Game close and can´t see here Benfica make the Mistake and think it will be easy Game. For me also not so many Goals here to see. Benfica also last Year in CL not that Offensive Power Team. Think Haifa nearly on Same Level like Kiev last Year, so Benfica scored a only 2 Goals in Home Game. So for me here Under 3.25 are a good bet.

Other Bets for me are Simple. Man City -1.5 - they are in great Form, Haaland is in great Form and i think it´s first tough Test for the Team. But Sevilla lost many Quality in Defensive and are not good Starting in League. So Man City at the Moment are too big for them.

Other Game is Chelsea - they will win i think and Zagreb also not with there best quality like last Years. So for me here with bet365 builder - Chelsea will win and Under 4 Goals. Can´t see here that Chelsea scored more then 3 Goals, even if they have vor me some Problems this Season with offensive Power.

Sevilla vs Manchester City

The second Champions League group stage game coming up on Tuesday night is the 8pm BST start between Sevilla and Manchester City from the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan in Group G. The home team have experienced a disastrous start to their domestic campaign after a summer of influential departures and they host a visiting team who are already looking dangerous in their efforts to win it all.

Sevilla are currently going through a dark period of their history with the club suffering their worst start to a season in 41 years after losing the defensive duo of Diego Carlos and Jules Kounde whilst also seeing impotency further up the field. Head coach Julen Lopetegui has made some movements in the transfer window by bringing in the likes of Tanguy Nianzou, Marcao, and Kasper Dolberg. It just doesn't seem to be working for Rojiblancos. The club have only picked up 1 point from their first 4 league games leaving them down in 17th place in La Liga. Is it just teething problems or is this the beginning of the end for Lopetegui's reign? Not only do the hosts for this game come into this match knowing they've already lost 3 of their first 4 league games but they also only managed to pick up one win in the group stage of this competition last season.

Manchester City made a statement signing in Erling Haaland over the summer and the Norwegian front man has already scored 10 goals for the club and he looks like the final piece in Pep Guardiola's Champions League jigsaw. Pep himself has stated that Haaland is not necessarily the answer to their prayers but it's clear he could be the differentiating factor. The Citizens have gone unbeaten in their 6 matches of this season so far and have scored a staggering 20 goals during the process. Haaland himself does possess calibre at this level though having scored 15 goals in 13 appearances in this competition for Borussia Dortmund last season. It'll be interesting to see what changes Pep makes to his team with John Stones and Kyle Walker both ruled out for this game.

I am slightly surprised to see Sevilla going through such a rough spell. I thought the sales of Carlos and Kounde were agreed with enough time for them to find suitable defensive replacements but so far it seems that Nianzou and Marcao haven't quite lived up to the demands of the club. Maybe they just need time to adapt and gel. This is the elite level of football though and patience is not a luxury many clubs can afford. I can see Manchester City inflicting more torture on their hosts here.

Inter Milan is playing against Bayern Munchen for the first time since 2017 after beating them at an away match. Inter Milan saw a defeat in their last against AC Milan. Their performance will not be detained by their previous games and the chance of winning is 76% as their opponent has not lost any first match in the champion League in three straight, which Milan will have to play more defense game.

Bayern Munchen has not lost a single match in their league and with the likes of their new players Munchen will not like to go easy on inter Milan or take chances, most players are at their best and they may not lose to the home team in the first leg. They have played five matches (W3, D2 ) and have scored a total of 16 goals in their last five matches.

Napoli vs Liverpool

For the third time in five years, Napoli and Liverpool are in the same group of the UEFA Champions League. The two will battle in Group A of this season’s competition, with Napoli hosting Liverpool on Match Day 1 of the competition. Napoli is coming from a good start in the Italian Serie A, currently topping the table with 11 points after their latest win, a 2-1 away win over Lazio. They want to pick up where they left off and secure a positive start on the continental stage.

Liverpool’s struggles away from home continued in their 0-0 draw with Everton in the Merseyside derby. They haven’t won an away game this season and will hope for a change here. Another thing they will hope to improve on is their defending, having managed just two clean sheets in the opening six matches. Their scoring run has been impressive, only failing to score in one of the six matches. Nevertheless, the Reds struggle with inconsistency, and Jurgen Klopp wants to stabilize the team. That’s why they aim for success in this challenging outing.

Full-Time Winner Odds & Prediction

Liverpool hasn’t been convincing so far this season, and it won’t be easy for them in front of the hot Napoli fans. We believe the hosts will remain undefeated in this clash. Moreover, Liverpool didn’t manage to win in Naples on the previous three occasions.

Goals Market Prediction

Their previous three clashes in Italy stayed under a 2.5 margin, while Liverpool still seeks the first goal at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. We think the tradition of low-scoring matches will continue.

Inter vs Bayern Munich

Last season Inter reached the knockout rounds of the Champions League for the first time in a decade, where they were eliminated by eventual runners-up Liverpool. While hopes are high of progressing to the latter stages of the competition again this time around, the Italian giants will have a difficult task qualifying from what has been billed as a potential ‘group of death,’ where they will come up against Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Viktoria Plzeň. Simone Inzaghi's and his players' preparations for this showdown were far from ideal, as they were on the wrong end of a 3-2 reverse to arch-rivals AC Milan on Saturday. Therefore, the Nerazzurri need to stabilize their game to be successful in this encounter.

As for Bayern Munich, they have exited the Champions League at the quarter-final stage in each of the last two seasons following their 2019-20 triumph. What's more, Julian Nagelsmann’s men have not quite been there all-conquering selves in the early weeks of the Bundesliga season, winning three and drawing two of their opening five fixtures. Although the Bavarians need to cope without Robert Lewandowski, they have been pretty efficient so far in the season. However, the visitors want to break a streak of two straight draws and return home with a win.

Full-Time Winner Odds & Prediction

It is going to be an interesting encounter that could easily go either way. Neither side has been consistent lately, and we wouldn’t be surprised if this encounter ends in a draw.

Goals Market Prediction

Both teams have significant attacking potential, but their defenses haven’t been tight recently. That’s why we believe they won’t keep their nets intact on Wednesday evening.

Napoli vs Liverpool

The Champions League group stage opening matches continue on Wednesday night. Italian Serie A club Napoli host Premier League side Liverpool in an 8pm BST kick-off from the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. The home team could welcome back a couple of influential players whilst the away club are suffering from a mini injury crisis. Can either team come away with all 3 points?

Napoli have enjoyed a very encouraging start to their domestic season. Luciano Spalletti's side are 2nd in Serie A after picking up 3 wins and 2 draws from their opening 5 league matches. It's left them just 2 points behind league leaders Atalanta. Gli Azzurri suffered the loss of a number of big names over the summer including Kalidou Koulibaly, Fabian Ruiz, Lorenzo Insigne, Arkadiusz Milik, and Dries Mertens but they've not allowed it to set them back. If anything, this new era has taken a step forward. The club have invested wisely in new arrivals such as Mathias Olivera, Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa, Kim Min-jae, and Tanguy Ndombele. Spalletti also still has players such as Victor Osimhen, Hirving Lozano, and Elif Elmas in his ranks. It's easy to see why they are unbeaten so far this season. The team also hasn't suffered defeat at home since 10th April this year.

Liverpool will feel this is arguably their toughest challenge yet this season and it's not been an entirely smooth campaign for the Reds so far either. Jurgen Klopp's men are in 7th in the Premier League having only managed 2 wins from their opening 6 league games. The club may remain undefeated at home but away form is hampering their progress with the team yet to notch up a win on their travels. A disappointing 2-2 draw away to Fulham was followed by a 2-1 loss away to Manchester United before an underwhelming 0-0 draw away to arch rivals Everton in their last league game. Klopp could be without a number of first team squad members including Jordan Henderson, Fabio Carvalho, Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Curtis Jones. It is hoped Thiago could make a return to the match day squad because he's been greatly missed with Arthur Melo also in line for some involvement.

Heading into this game it's clear to see why Napoli would have every reason to feel they can win this game against Liverpool. The superior early season form of the Italian side is one influencing factor but they have also only lost 1 of their last 4 meetings with the English club. On top of that, they did remain undefeated in their last group phase. I think Liverpool would do incredibly well to win but it could be a tall order. Something doesn't feel right for Liverpool this year and they have lost their Champions League star man in Sadio Mane. His goal involvements down the years have been crucial. I'm willing to back Napoli to carry their positive form into this game and get a result.

Tottenham vs Marseille

The second Champions League group stage game I'm going to look at is the clash between Premier League club Tottenham and French Ligue 1 side Marseille in an 8pm BST start from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. This Group D encounter is an excellent opportunity for one of these teams to begin their European campaign in the best way possible. Can either team pick up the win?

Tottenham are already showing they look like the real deal this season. Antonio Conte has led his team to 3rd in the Premier League table and just 1 point behind early season leaders Arsenal. Conte has moved quickly to manage expectations by claiming it's "unthinkable" that Spurs will win the competition. The team remains unbeaten in domestic action so far so they are certainly going to be in the conversation. Stranger things have happened in this competition down the years after all. The Londoners have conceded in 4 of their 6 matches so far this season but have only conceded 5 goals. The shining light for these games has been striker Harry Kane putting his August goal droughts in the past and bagging 5 goals already this season.

Marseille will feel that with Sporting CP and Eintracht Frankfurt being the other two teams in this group that their chances of progression to the last 16 are wide open. Les Olympiens are revelling in a cracking start to their Ligue 1 season with the team currently in 2nd place and only kept off the top spot due to PSG boasting a superior goal difference. It's an unbeaten start with 5 wins from their 6 league games thus far for head coach Igor Tudor. The French club have kept clean sheets in their last 3 matches and would you expect anything less from a side managed by one of the great Croatian defenders? The team have also been free-scoring so far this season with this new look side looking like they could cause some problems for other teams in the Champions League.

Both Tottenham and Marseille have scored in every single competitive game they have played so far this season so we're going for a both teams to score bet right? I think Tottenham will tighten up defensively the longer Conte is there but they're still favouring an emphasis on attack right now. Marseille will be the underdogs for this game and I still think Tottenham will win but we should see an entertaining encounter here.

Yesterday the Bet´s was good, even Chelsea didn´t show up there class. So for today i think it´s little bit difficult. Many Games that are 50-50 or Odds are too Low. So i prefer for today a Combo Bet. Barcelona finding his way right now and with Lewandowski in Front they are very Dangerous. Even if Barca will rotate, which some Media reports - Plzen isn´t that big. So here for me Barca AHC-1.5 + Tottenham to Win. With Conte the Spurs are on a good Way. They have the class to play there way of Football and even if it´s a close Game or a Long 0-0 Game - you allways think that Tottenham can score 1. Last Bet ist B2S in Frankfurt Game. First CL Game for Frankfurt - Atmosphere will be epic, but with Sporting they have a Team who can play nice Offensive Football. Don´t know who will 1X2 will end, but i think it can be a B2S game. Maybe with this Atmosphere Frankfurt Players will be little bit Nervous.

So for me Barca AHC-1.5+Tottenham Win+Both2Score in Frankfurt Game with 2/10
